SPH-L900 Nandroid backup file - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place (first post). Looking for a place where users could post nandroid backups for an SPH-L900. I had a microSD get corrupted and now I have no backup (which is why I actually need one now). Thanks in advance and again sorry if post is in the wrong place.

Thread moved to Q&A

You dont want to restore a nandroid from another phone onto yours. Even if it the exact same model and everything there are still unique serials/MACs and other info on each phone and if you use someone elses it will jack things up for the both of you. All you need is just a new SDCard or fix the one you have, drop a new rom on it and flash it.

Right you are thanks. Did some more digging and more reading and I guess a nandroid backup doesn't store or restore modem/radio info. What would I need to restore modem/radio? SD card has been formated and is good to go. Installed several ROMs but my baseband info and imei is blank with all of them.

Under Settings -> Update Profile - wait a minute and click ok. Should get everything back that you need I believe. SD-Card shouldn't have caused the problems you are experiencing.

Hello friend, I hope you do not bother, this message is for help, first I would like to know if you are a user of a note L900, I have a problem, delete the EFS folder. Now I have no IMEI, I have seen a technician, he says Get the EFS folder from another note, to retrieve your IMEI.
The question is: lend me your EFS folder?

I had the phone before switching to TMO. You can try to flash a stock tar and see if that will help if not then you will need to go back to Sprint and get a new referb. It sucks I know but thats all you can do.

yeah i actually tried that method but it was a no go. my /data/radio was "touched" already
thanks though
i wanted to bump this.
so heres what happened. i went to my tmobile store to buy a micro-SIM card for my new Moto G. The register guy thought I was gonna use it right away (but i didn't because the Moto G was still on its way via delivery) so he prematurely cut my old sim card and switched my phone number to the new micro-sim card. When I had realized this- i went back to the store and told him about the mistake.
Since you cannot reactivate a sim card that has been cut, he gave me a fresh regular sized sim card for free with my number back on it and so I went home.
Now for fun, i figured "hey what happens if i put this new fresh sim card inside my galaxy nexus with the nuked generic IMEI?"
............ to my SHOCK, my notification drawer said "T-MOBILE" and I had full bars of signal. I could call, I can text and everything! I went to my system information in settings menu and it still had the generic 00049 IMEI! So for those who had my same problem, try replacing the sim card!

[Q] No IMEI means radio is broken?

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250TSGGen
I had a stock android version, that I never rooted or flashed. Suddenly the SIM stopped working, I figured out that there is no IMEI number and the baseband is unknown.
I flashed to a custom ROM, and tried to do few things using the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit:
1) custom ROM android 4.1
2) Flashed a custom radio
3) made a copy of the /efs folder, deleted the original and replaced it after restart.
The Samsung service center said the entire board has to be changed, with an estimated cost of $140 USD.
Can someone help me with my options? Is it definitely a hardware problem? is there anyway to know for sure?

I had an old nandroid back up and I used the method in this post to fix my IMEI problem: forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47048361&postcount=9
And when you said you took a back up of the /EFS folder, you meant pulled the .bin and .md5 files from the /factory or the /radio folders OR did you use something like kTool? Because, as people have pointed out in other threads there is no /EFS folder for the Galaxy Nexus. The IMEI information is stored in the Radio and Factory Folders. For more information on how IMEI works on the GNEx, refer to this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47045295&postcount=6
But you are saying the baseband is also unknown. A radio flash should have fixed it. Try restoring Stock ICS using Odin. i hear this fixes some problems like this. U can use thus guide forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065470
If Odin is a little complicated, try the Nexus Root Tool kit. U gotta experiment to find the right problem and them fix it. No other go. I doubt that replacing the board will solve it as it looks like a software issue, unless you fried your radios.

Thanks again. Yes, the /efs folder is not where it was supposed to be. I did find the correct location and moved it. I will try using your ideas. Just one more question:
Since I had not done anything that would wipe out my IMEI number (neither software hacking nor physical damage). I wonder why this problem suddenly occurred. Just to eliminate a possibility, how can I know for sure that I have not "fried the radios"?
Appreciate your help. If I know that it is a software problem, I can continue to play with the Nexus toolkit and try different solutions.

I'm not sure how to check if your radio is fried. Basically, it means something's wrong with your hardware, where you experience occasional or complete signal loss. But in your case, you lost your IMEI. So, back up your nv_data files, flash using NRT or ODIN and see what happens.
NRT will push the stock radio while doing the "Flash Stock + Unroot" Option. So, you'll get the stock baseband as well. This should fix it. If your IMEI still doesn't work, try restoring the nv_data.bin and md5 files you backed up as mentioned in the link I posted.
Let me know how it works out. :good:
Always make a backup of /EFS (Support in both PhilZ_CWM & TWRP )for safety, though the IMEI would be only wiped by CWM wipe /factory option......happened to me a few days back, luckily i got my /efs restored & flashing stock doesn't bring any IMEI back since it's actually phone specific plus comes with a proper MD5 !!
the above method should work and here more info on the EFS

So far Ive removed cynogen mod and reset it to stock firmware but im having the same issue any suggestions?

Your baseband is probably corrupted. You may try reflashing a stock modem/baseband via recovery. I had a similar problem once, although I was on stock ROM, and re-flashing the modem zip worked.
I, however, tread very carefully here as I am aware the forum is wary about discussions relating to IMEI.

You can look up peoplearmy's method (google it). You will not find help on how to fix IMEI on XDA. I had my IMEI wiped out a while back after flashing a bad rom. I had to get it put back, and then had to get LTE back.
Good luck.

Everything looks OK as your baseband version would likely read 'unknown' if it's bad. You may, however, still try re-flashing the modem via the method posted in the attached thread ... Please proceed at your own peril as I offer no guarantee that this will work or will not result in damaged phones,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
Please note you will need custom recovery (e.g. CWM or TWRP). You will find instructions for installing custom recovery at the bottom of the thread. If this doesn't work, then you may try doing a hard wipe from recovery and reinstalling everything including system ROM, modem and kernel.
Hope it works out for you.
Simple fix is to reinject imei which located behind the battery.. But sometimes for some reason if you do this, you'll stuck with edge network, can be fix though but you gotta go back to stock in order to do so

you will have to google peoplearmy imei lte and find the tutorial on how to restore imei and get LTE back.
You will not be able to find the thread on XDA because XDA deleted it sometime ago. I was like you and lost my imei. Once I re-injected it using a tutorial on XDA, I was stuck on edge. Then I finally found peoplearmy's tutorial, downloaded the programs and followed the steps to get LTE back. I got it back and haven't lost it since.

I can't find the link, can you PM me it?
I had that happen to me with a 0 on my phone and was able to get it back I had no backup either what I did is go on the NV Data restore or NV writer thread and downloaded the NV writer and put myself back on stock ...I went thru a few pages in the post and someone had a file where you could put your IMEI into that file maybe it was set up thru notepad but you could fill in the zeros with your IMEI and name it I think a txt.file after then open the NV writer and instead of backing it up cause you can't just restore that file where you fill in you're IMEI and it went right back into my phone. There also a video on that page how to do it. You just need basically that file to put your IMEI back in. I might still have it if not keep going thru the post took find it. There a picture of what it looks like to restore if you list it but every time I tried to open that link to restore it wouldn't let me. Hope it wasn't to confusing but it's basically a white box with a bunch of zeros and replace the zeros with your IMEI and save it as atxt. File I believe and just restore it as shown in the video for backing it up but just restore instead it does work cause I didn't have an IMEI on my phone it just had a zero

Please Help: IMEI Changed FIXED!

using Galaxy Tab S t705
IMEI has been changed to 004999010640000/01
what I did:
1. I came from CM12.1
2. I flashed lollipop stock Rom
3. I've noticed that even if it has full signal bar, it shows that "emergency calls only"
4. I checked my IMEI and yes it has been changed
how to restore my IMEI
I got not backup of my Working EFS
That's the default imei when the EFS partition is corrupted or wiped. Its not the first time I've heard this happening with cm 12.1
If you didn't make a backup there's not a lot you can do.
i'm doomed

IMEI lost, questions about backing up another MOTO Z Play "EFS".

Hi, I've been trying to find a solution for the problem of null IMEI I'm having after wiping EFS partition on the Chinese TWRP, maybe it's not that and it is because I've erased modemst1, modemst2 and flashed modem+fsg.
I'm pretty sure it had to do with one of those procedures, when I wiped the EFS I've got some error saying it couldn't be done but something went missing.
I've got a more direct question now, my brother just bought a Moto Z Play yesterday, if I backup his EFS on my phone (he already asked if I want to do that) will both of us would be able to use our phone normally?
can anyone backup their "efs" and upload it here so that i can restore it and get back my imei.

No way, like you already now, each phone has an individual IMEI. Your phone is unfortunately unusable.
What did you attempt to do? Flash another firmware package ?

Lenovo could generate it. But they probably instead replace the main board. You may ask them how much the repair is.
I think I'll just take it there and see if they can do anything about.

Hey you can use sigma box to restore imei which will cost you around 800 rs,same thing happened for me but still not fixed just using with wifi
If partition can be wiped, then is not read only. If is not read only, should be possible to write backup back. Otherwise, what's the point of the backup?!
Each phone should/must have different IMEI, depending of the network. In theory, should be possible to take partition from one phone and write to another. However, Moto maybe prevents that checking some hash, serial number... If it's possible to write partition from another phone, again question is can those two phones be on the same network in the same time. I also saw a way to change IMEI, I think even on this sub forum.
If someone solve this problem I definitive pay to that sir, he would be rich In the first day..
