Flip wallet with no cradle - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

I'm trying to locate a wallet case for my Note that has a standard Samsung back case, not a full backside with a plastic cradle to hold the phone. Those cases makes it hard to get the stylus out. I have looked high I have looked low but I haven't looked right because I can't find anything like that.
Any and all tips are deeply appreciated.

ebay is great for these, just search N7000 flip case!

The ones I locate all have a simple cover, not pockets for bills and credit cards.

I also looked for something like this, but found nothing. It's either a choice of a replacement back panel with plain flip cover, or a credit card wallet with a cradle.
The only alternative might be to adapt one with a replacement back panel, perhaps by fixing some credit card sleeves to inside of the cover. The hinge might not allow enough extra play for this though.

you can actually ask your local shoe repairshop if he can make one from the one you have. I think he can. Its a question of adding leather on the front so it still fits, an opening for bills and a series of slots to hold cards.
Do note there are reports of cards pressing on screen that could damage/leave prints on screen and on screen protector.
my experience not in making but in use is that the original flap breaks after a while. Not sure, but whennit does, it looks like cupboard lmao

As I suspected then. Quite vexing. Seems like such a winning construction. Keep it thin enough for your pocket, yet add the function off s wallet. Outside cards and cash everything from my old wallet is now in my Note.

Indeed an excellent idea. Now if I could only go back 30 years when we still had a cobbler in town
Kidding aside I shall see if it is feasible, bring the original backside and explain as good as I can.

Looking for a thin Stylus

Bought this one off ebay but the thing is way too thick and just doesnt perform well with drawing apps like draw something. Can anyone suggest a thinner one trying to find one along the size of the galaxy note

The notes pen isn't suppose to be able to write on this phone I watched a video on YouTube and he was trying to use the notes pen and it didn't work. I was going to get one till I seen the video

I didn't play with it long enough to care to find out. It was that "odd" to handle.
Sadly that doesn't make it a "thin" stylus by any means.
I saw one being advertised on barnes and noble's site for the nook that "looked" thin but I haven't checked it out to see whether it was just the photo that made it look that way.
So I found a stylus that has a smaller surface area. Its the same thickness as a regular pen.

If you want to draw on your E4GT you should really give the Jot Mini a try.
http://www.amazon.com/Adonit-Stylus...LTAU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338263247&sr=8-1
It is very accurate, much more so than ANY bubble-tip stylus and it registers very well on the E4GT's screen. I use one myself. It is also nice and small which makes it easy to carry around with your phone.

Great concept, flawed product.
#1- The flap will be loose, so it needs to be secured. Best way is for a Magnet link.
#2- Placing your cards on the outer side means more chance of opportunistic theft
#3- Even adding one credit card will make the case thicker. Its usually not a problem, but since they will be "stacked" the inner side will get thicker in some areas and not in others.
This creates a loose "touch point" of the inside flap and the screen.
(eg/ Apple's Smart Cover, imagine the middle being quite thick and the borders shallow - it wouldn't touch properly).
I do like the idea of combining your phone + wallet into one package, but its not really theesable. Firstly, it will make the NOTE too bulky, and its already stretching out some pockets. Secondly, the amount of storage is low on the package. A wallet will hold more contents.
I personally have a skinny wallet with a ~3 credit cards and half-dozen business cards and ofcourse paper money. I place it in my ass pocket, phone goes alone to front right pocket... I tend to multitask easiest this way.
Would've got this but, I don't like leather and I want a pouch where my phone slides out, not stuck to the case. Also, no room for a usb host cable.

[Q] Impossibly thin back cover!!

Just bought my Note 2. The battery came half full so it's charging right now.
The first thing I noticed was the impossibly thin back cover and wondered how many people have managed to break theirs...
It'd be fine if it were made of carbon fiber, but plastic this thin will eventually break, no matter how malleable it is. For crying out loud, I've seen sheets of paper that are thicker than this!
How many of you have broken it already?
It's not going to break under normal use. If you take it off and bend it 90 degrees maybe, but it's not just going to spontaneously shatter on you.
Most people use a case so it wont break from dropping.
Ive never felt like it was going to break when removing or replacing it either.
As long as your not trying to break it, it wont break from normal use.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
The thinner it is the less chance it will break, crack or split.under normal use. I have had mine for just over 3 months and have removed it maybe 10 times. It still loks like new. You should be more worrried about the front anyway. A new case cost buttons in comparrison with the screen or digitizer.
People said the same thing about the galaxy s 2 back cover when that came out. Check out this video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu5qy6gffbs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Samsung's been using this stuff for years for a simple reason - it's light, and strong.
- Frank
Been using s2 before this and never heard of broken backcover. You would be surprise how malleable and strong it is.
Now a broken screen is another matter that you should be more concern about.

They must create it like that to make the device light

My god that is super blingy
i dropped mine from like 15 cm from the ground went it came flying out my bag, it cracked, you can barely notice it
but once i know it's there it ****ing bothers
Well buy a replacement, they're cheap.
Every 2-3 days I replace my battery with a charged one and I have done this with my note N7000 as well as my current N7100. This had led me to zero issues, not even a piece of the battery casing on either phone have broke off. These were designed very well where they will hold up to more than your everyday usage.

Just a quick heads up for battery cover buyers:
The item listing doesn't say whether this cover contains the NFC antenna like the Samsung covers do. I know some of the aftermarket covers don't have it. Anyone wanting to retain NFC functionality should be sure and check this before ordering an aftermarket Note 2 battery cover.

As it's a metal back cover I don't think the NFC will work.
Someone posted in the accessories section saying they had bought a metal back cover with NFC, however upon testing it the NFC didn't actually work.
For someone like me in the UK though that's hardly an issue, NFC isn't widely used here, the only use we have for it now is if we want to use NFC tags, and that's about it.
FWIW, I have an Epic 4G that uses the same thin plastic back. I've had that phone for 2 years and there are no cracks, damage to the phone or anything. Actually looks pretty darn new, save for where some of the clearcoat is coming off around the speakerhole. Of all the things to be concerned about on this phone, the back is the least of my worries.

(Video Review) Sonivo Nexus 5 Wallet Case with a Sleep sensor

Here it is guys, the review I done for this case. Absolutely in love with it.
I thought I'd share this with everyone as if you look online there really are no wallet cases in the world like this to have the sleep wake function.
If you want more information about this case reply to this thread and I'll try to best answer your questions.
Hope you like the review and the case as much as I do!

Does the magnet interfere with the phone in any way? Maybe the compass or any other sensors?
[Edit] also, is the phone held snugly in the case or does it seem like I could come out with just a bit of flexing?

It's fairly easy to get the phone in and out. If you insert the case one side at a time its really easy. I normally insert the phone in from the left side then once that's in, clip the right side it. Getting it out is the same thing just in reverse. The support on the case is tough but does have a bit of allowance to allow the phone to come out.

Been using it for a few days now and haven't had any problems with it.
No movement from the phone once it's in the case. It's a hard case support thats made especially for the Nexus 5 so once the phone is in won't be going anywhere.
Hope that answers your questions.
One other question: does qi charging work with this case or is it too thick?

Seconded. This looks like the best case with an autowake cover. But it's also the only one that's not available in North America
I was curious about this wake n sleep function and played with a magnet on the phone, the sensor seems to be on the top left corner of the screen. Might glue a thin magnet into the cheapish pink wallet case my gf got for her N5 to ad this feature :good:
Where can or will Americans be able to purchase this? This case seems to be the best option and I only use wallet cases.

I have one that's similar:
http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Googl...=UTF8&qid=1384880507&sr=8-13&keywords=supcase
The only issues are (1) doesn't work with a car mount as is a frequent case problem and (2) the phone seems to get hotter with a wireless charger than the phone gets without the case on.
I'm assuming if you have this case, you have your phone in your jacket pocket.
I'm also a bit worried about the magnet for the flap, wouldn't it demagnetize your cards?

Lifeproof fre cases

Just broke my first s3 and bought a new one, this time I said no more otterbox and went with lifeproof.
Damn fine cases, quality, built in screen protector and best part. There waterproof! Buttons are easy to press, not like otter box basically crush the phone trying to press the power button lol
I got mine on amazon.ca for 39.99 free shipping. And I signed up for a amazon credit card and saved another $20.
Cases are good quality compared to my old otter box. Otter box rubber is falling apart, like breaking down. I contacted otterbox customer service. My warranty was up in one week from when I contacted them. I sent emails properly to them submitting the defects, they asked for more of the same pictures..... Basically wasting time. Then at the end of the week guess what. They told me I'm no longer under the 1 year warranty. No u wasted a week trying to make me waste time. Lol
Well let me tell otter box this.... U won't see a red nickel from me ever again.
In short lifeproof is a better case and company then otter box. I've already been in the water with the case 2 times. No leaks phone is fine.

With a shot. If anything you could sell the case or use it as a backup since you have a Lifeproof. I moved to Lifeproof from Otterbox and have never looked back.
How does LifeProof compare to CruzerLite? I was thinking about getting a CruzerLite case for my AT&T Galaxy S3.
Moved to S3 Accessories forum.
I used to work at a store that sold these when they first came out. I tested them out a few times and found them difficult to pry apart and get on/off the phone. They looked very well-constructed and effective, but can anyone vouch for their ease of use in relation to applying to phone and taking it back off? Have they changed it up at all as far as anyone can attest?

you get raised buttons that allow you to use all the iPhone controls, while a sealable door and plug cover the Lightning port and headphone jack along the bottom edge. The headphone jack is fairly narrow, but LifeProof includes an adapter that extends the jack beyond the case. Rounding out the package is a microfiber cloth and a replacement headphone jack plug.

From a legal standpoint, the date of complaint stands. Don't let them give you the run around bro. Unfortunately this should have been taken care of immediately. If they give you a hard time and do not want to cooperate, you can still open a case through the Better Business Bureau and let them handle your complaint. Hopefully you have some emails with the date you 1st contacted them. If not, it'll be your word against theirs.
Best of luck to you.
Personally, I've had two OtterBox Defender cases. One I ended up giving away in my section and the other has never been used. As for the built-in screen protector, I popped it out a few days after I started using the case and applied one from Tech Armor. Great screen protectors by the way! I ended up getting a ZeroLemon 7000mAh battery and bought their ZeroLemon Rugged Case. It's not waterproof but it is one heck of a case. I know for a fact it has saved my phone on two occasions. It can be used with stock batteries too. Not bad for $19.99. It also comes with a 180 day warranty just like their batteries.
