4.2 keyboard and camera

Anyone have any of these working ?

Yeah I use the 4.2 keyboard. It rocks. Push the apk to /system/app, fix permissions, reboot, and change keyboard under language/input. The camera can be installed the same way but it has an autofocus glitch so I don't use it

emoji keyboard working?

Camera seems to be having issue for me with the flash on but the keyboard is butter

The camera does not have any issues if you disable the location check. Everything works well including photosphere

My camera still doesn't work even if the store location is off.

What's a good working link for the camera? I know there's a ton of them out there but I'm pretty new to this and not sure which one to use. I just flashed this rom ([ROM] DOMINATION [Aroma] 12-5-12 [Deviant Development] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030473) last night and everything works wonderfully, but I would like the camera with photosphere, I could care less about the keyboard since I use Swiftkey. Thanks for the help!

Noob question, but that link goes to the international version of the SIII. Will it still work on the T999?

I got photosphere and all working, but I can't take a picture with a flash.
Is there a fix for that ?

the problem is autofocus not flash...... when it autofocus causes the camera to freeze...... Only thing I figured out is use another camera app like camera zoomfx to take regular pictures and the stock camera for photosphere lol

Photosphere cm10.1?

There isnt any option in the cm10.1 camera for photosphere can someone pls guide me? or provide da appropriate cwm zip file

Its not currently available buddy... Though thr is that camera app which was ported for any 4.2 from nexus 4 which might have some broken features.Bet u need to wait some more time.

Im not shure if this will work on your phone but im using this on SuperNexus rom(4.1.2) and it works ok(sometimes got fc)
Edit: i forgot to say that after installing this zip u will have two galleries and two cameras old gallery and camera and new 4.2 gallery and camera

I uninstalled the original Gallery.apk with root uninstaller. Then in flashed camera from this "4.2.1 apps v8" over Aroma. Everything works fine...

I agree. The focus looks horrible compared to stock.

4.2.2 Stock Camera app?

Has anyone or can anyone get the new 4.2.2 camera app in a flashable? Would it work with 4.1.2 cm10?

You also need some .libs to make it work. If I remember correctly, liblightcycle.so is one. I cannot remember if there are any more. Your best bet is to compare /system/lib from your rom and a newer 4.2.x based CM rom. Then look for ones missing in your rom.

Well I flashed it and it seems to be working fine. I did have to disable the 4.1.2 can/gallery.

Hey man, the zip got removed from the link... Does anyone still has the stock flashable camera app? I hate it when it doesn't focus when I press on the shutter

It's from the Galaxy s4. And yes, it seems to work fine. Even the resolutions are correct. Maybe, just maybe, it's a little bit slower than the old camera.

But what's the need to install? Nexus 4 already has the Stock version.

Yes, but the Google edition phones have a new version, that was first seen on a "leaked" 4.3 rom.

99% sure it won't, this is the interface, without any backend stuff.

Works fine for me just installing over the top of the stock camera as it would a Play Store update. Bear in mind I am 100% stock at the moment

seems to work with no problems for me... photo editing and all... still testing some of the other effects and features, but pretty solid so far
EDIT: so after running some test seems like everything is good, until you reboot the device... after rebooting and going to photo edit a picture, the gallery will fc when trying to use the very last editing feature with -/+ icon... after reinstalling the apk it will work again

GmsCore.apk is Google Play Services. i dont think it is needed

Are you using the Google camera or the cm camera? If you are using the cm camera you will probably need to manually replace the apk (or uninstall the old cm camera before you can install the new one.)

Well I have a CM camera since I use CM10.1. The flashable zip force close on me while editing the picture but the camera works perfectly. Ok I'll try to uninstall the CM Gallery and install yours.

It puts a slightly different camera icon in the apps folder, it is darker

Yup. It does freeze and force close.
Good thing about it though that it is separated and doesn't override the stock tw camera.

Yeah the Samsung camera does all of that plus with a ton of more features/options, plus the pics taken with the AOSP are inferior IMO when compared to the TW camera. Only thing it has over the stock camera is photosphere but how many times are you gonna use that?

How did you install? Like a regular apk or push to /system/app? The ROM I was using already had a version of the AOSP camera in it so this wouldn't install so I uninstalled with TB, rebooted, then installed. Not sure if that helps any but my flash works okay. No FC's.

I installed it as an apk.....everything works except for the flash feature. I don't get any FC's......

Flash works on mine, stock rooted.
