Flashlight Issue - LG Optimus G (International)

Does any one have a problem when after using a flashlight, trying to go to the recents menu by holding down the home button does not work? Like it does not pop up or is slow to pop up? Also, it makes the keyboard in the messaging app inoperable.
The way I fix it is by either rebooting the phone or by opening the camera app. Some how the camera app fixes it, which I don't know how.

Nope, no such problem here. Using the Tiny Flashlight + LED app.

Huh, weird. I've just downloaded that app and it worked like a charm. May I ask of you to try the app called teslaled flashlight and see if it works for you? Try using your recents menu and keyboard.

I had issues with TeslaLED as well. I switched to Tiny LED + Flashlight, which works fine.

Yeah, strange huh? I think the Tiny Flashlight is the only good flashlight app that's compatible with this phone.

I'm using this one:

So far it's worked on every device I've owned without issue, plus it has a handy widget.

Avoid brightest flashlight
Installs a Search icon for a 3rd party search engine.. Something is dodgy with this one. Plus they have like 300 WRITTEN reviews in 24 hours - sounds like a scammer/spammer working this as a front end app.
Tiny Flashlight +LED works great for me.
None of the mentioned has a strobe mode, right? Been using nexus torch on my desire but it doesnt work on Gnex...any suggestions for that one?
I use Brightest Flashtlight Free from the market. Just tested it on my GNex and it works just fine.
Tesla just came out with an update yesterday (or Friday) with a fix for the gnex

Camera Lag

I have been turning on the camera app and having it sit black with all the app buttons (settings, flash, etc.) not working. 5 seconds later, the screens shows what the camera is pointing at and the settings begin to work again.
If it freezes, i click the home button, hold the home button and clear the camera app, and open the camera app again, the camera will work.
Anyone have a similar issue?

[Q] Turn off soft-key lights on MIUI ROM?

Well I want to disable the hardware key lights, or the soft-keys on the T989. I've tried searching Google, XDA, and everywhere I look the solution is either old, doesn't work, or is not ROM specific to MIUI. I'd really love to use MIUI, but the lights for the keys are stopping me from using it. Anyway, is there anyway (and don't mention Adjbrightness) I can turn these off whether it be manually or thru using an app?
I don't think this is rom-specific, but make a backup in case!

Thanks, but I don't want to turn them all off. I just want the lights to be shut off. I still want to retain functionality.
Ahhh gotcha. Look up the screen filter app. In the app, you can turn off the soft keys.

[MOD] Force Navigation bar like Nexus 4

This is a mod how to enable navigation bar(on screen
buttons) , its very simple and easy...
Warring: if you mess something dont blame me.
Add the following line at the end of buid.prop file
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
now on reboot we will have nav-bar like on nexus 4
Much easier to use the recent and home.
And more comfortable for the thumb

Thanks so much for this! I'm going to give this a shot. Not sure if it's really that useful/suits me, but it's always nice to have options.
I have been having some fun with this. Enabled the software keys, disabled the hardware keys, disable the back and menu button lights. Now it just looks like I have a sweet notification light area because you cant see those two buttons when they aren't lit up. I adjusted the pixel density all around to make is so I don't lose any app screen space.
The only issues I have are the icons on the launcher getting cut off on the bottom rows and the camera button is a little messed up, still usable, but there is a dedicated hardware button, so it doesn't really matter.
Now I just need to change the multitask button to a menu button and it will be pretty sweet!
there has to be an app that does this as well.

Flashlight

Looking for a good flashlight app. The G3 doesn't have one built in...
Sent from my LG-D851 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Super-Bright LED Flashlight is a good one to use
If you are rooted look into the g3 tweaks box. It has a flashlight in it that you can set on your power menu
If you install battery widget reborn it has a touch app so dual purpose for me
I use this one and it has widget.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flashlight.lg
I use that one or if you use Xposed, there is an option within G3 Tweakbox to add flashlight to powermenu

You can install Tiny Flashlight
and then install the QLight plugin
which allows you to toggle the light directly from QSlide apps in the status bar.
Quick torch. And you can access it in the quick circle window if you are using the case

I personally love the CM torch app, attached below. It has a simple design, which I really like.

Use the Xposed torch, is a module for exposed you will love this one.

Going through a lot for a simple led switch to use a flashable cm mod or an xposed module unless you already have xposed.
