oh really dude ?
'cause someone tell me that i MUST set min frequency to 312 or higher to prevent rebooting certain period of time.
So it doesn't reboot automatically when you set max frequency and lower to 157MHz or something volts?

i used this kernel before for almost a month it doesn't reboot at 128mhz its just the wakelock issue that i'm experiencing
this post is approved by the national potato safety regulation

It's true friend.
I have always used 832-832mhz in stock and custom roms.
Now with Merruk Kernel 2.5 I'm using 1.24-1.24ghz.
No problem anytime.
Use this.

4. Ext4-Converter-signed.zip
http://mediafire.com/?c5nl1cf4cye6px4
LET'S GET STARTED.
1-AT FIRST COPY THE ABOVE FILES TO SDCARD'S ROOT
2. EXTRACT boot.img FILE FROM Merruk Technology 2.0.tar To sd card Root

Sdcard Root means the main part of sd card, not in any folder.
Just paste those directly on sd card(mnt/sdcard) .not in any folder.
I have done this process and after getting success I have posted this process.

[ROM] Cow ROM v7 (Bionic Cow 2)

Version 7 of Cow ROM: Bionic Cow 2.
- For arco68
It's basically an update to Bionic Cow using latest firmware from Sammy - I8150DXLC1. Features:
1) The OC kernel has been rewrote. It should be more stable and graphic score improved.
2) Bionic Scorpion Optimization library. Using NEON instructions for faster memory operations. Learned from arco68 github for ICS.
3) CowPanel 2 - use this util to configure VSYnc on/off. For speed, use VSync off. For smooth, use VSync on + triple buffering. Read more here. You also may configure zRam option here. zRam is off by default. Read more here.
4) Many CPU governors: Default using OnDemandX for best battery; 80% left in 24 hours. Use "Performance" for benchmarking.
5) More RAM - 358Mb available, compare to 351Mb in stock ROM.
6) Using a super light Zeam Launcher. Thanks cloakt for permission to use.
7) Internal / external sd card swap, CRT screen off effect, Low Memory Killer Tweaked, OnDemandX tweaked, Custom Bootup animation and Larger SD Card cache, Voice Search, etc.
8) Based on arco68 GB kernel. Without which, none of this is possible.
Special thanks to arco68, tch9, andynroid and pinkyunki, Murny Umairah, Myrule Anarki, Santos San Martin and Mohd Fazrin Daud from SGW group.
*WARNING*: Don't use OC ROM unless you know what you are doing. The ROM will automatically reset to 1.4ghz - OnDemandX after reboot as a safety precaution. I only set to 1.8ghz OC for short time during Cheat Engine hacks, zip / unzip, benchmark, etc. I always reset back to max 1.4ghz for normal used. I strongly recommend you to set a temperature profile if CPU ever get above 50C you should lower max clock back to 1.4ghz.
So, here is the link:

Overclock:
Part 1: http://www.mediafire.com/?7k7ei26n46e44bb
Part 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?e368mc427y19611
Here is how to install the ROM:
1. Enable recovery.
2. Use 7zip, right click on xxxx.001, extract. It will create the zip file required for flashing. Copy this zip into your phone. (Don't extract xxx.002)
3. Boot into ClockWorkMod / RZRecovery, backup your current ROM using nandroid (just in case).
4. If you are upgrading from my previous ROM;
- BEFORE installing the ROM, Uninstall CowPanel: Setting, Application, Cowpanel, uninstall
- Wipe Dalvik-cache. All your settings and app will remained. Theme will changed though.
5. If you are installing from stock or from other custom ROM, best to wipe everything using CWM, including your USB and external sd card. Reinstall everything from fresh, don't restore anything from Titanium Backup or anything.
Google Map? Missing apk? Original theme? If you want to restore to stock theme, get all the apk here.
Report Problem: If you encounter FC or any problem, please provide logcat so I may trace it:
1. Connect phone to USB
2. adb logcat > log.txt
3. In your phone, reproduce the crash / FC / etc
4. Kill all adb process in your PC
5. Zip and send me the log.txt
Update Radio Firmware
I8150DXLC1 comes with an updated Radio firmware. This should improve voice call quality. Check if you need to update this, go to Check "Setting", "About phone", "Baseband version". If you already have I8150DXLC1 or newer you dont need this. If not, use Odin to flash this. This will only update the Radio firmware, nothing else will change. You can do this before or after install Bionic Cow 2 ROM.
1. Get Odin.
2. Get ancora.ops.
3. Get radio firmware.
4. Boot into "download mode". Connect phone to PC. Start Odin
5. Select OPS file = ancora.ops. Select One Package = radio firmware, check "One package", "Auto reboot", "Protect OPS".
6. Start and wait till it complete.

Antutu 5067 on 1,8GHz !
I really love the theme, very nice!!
Thanks my friend!!
As now, i'm using your Bionic, Cow. Love the green-ish theme, seems smoothly smart!
A few things btw :
1. When booting up, there is still sound of the boot animation. How to disable it?
2. When locking the phone, the transition is somewhat like distortion-type, not like the scale-old-tv in your previous ROM. Is it supposed to be that way or my phone goes wrong?
3. The "3G icon" in status bar alternately goes from small to big and vice versa. Also is this meant to be as such? :/
Apart of those, it is indeed a GREAT and SUPERB ROM.

min speed ? ondemand or ondemandx ?
I must be dumb.
I download xxx.7z.001 and xxx.7z.002.
Right click on 001: extract here puts META-INF, data and system folders and the other files in the folders I am working in. If I right click and extract to GT-I8150-BIONIC it just puts those files in a folder. No sign of a flashable zip.
What am I doing wrong?
Bomoh, an user who doesn't have permission to post in Dev section yet, told me this solution and it's working. Thanks to him!
Extract 001 in a folder > select all the files > right click > 7-zip > add to archive.

and CWM or any other recovery
Watch this for more info.

INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure you are running a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Make sure you have busybox installed, if you don't or if you're not sure, download Busybox Installer from the Play Store (free)
- Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM, just in case
- Wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery
- Flash PmR in recovery
- A wonderful touchscreen interface will pop-up
(devices need different touchscreen calibration, if the touchscreen doesn't work, use the menu button of your device, select "Calibration Tools" and follow the instructions)
- Follow the on-screen instructions, make your choices between all the different features to Pimp your Rom
- Select "Reboot my device" on last screen (or reboot from recovery) and enjoy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Encountering installation issues ?
Do the following to fix most errors you might get on some devices :
Open the zip of the rom you are running with winrar or 7zip or whatever (the .zip file that you flash in recovery)
Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android
Extract the file called "update-binary" and rename it to "update-binary-installer" then close your rom's zip
Open Pimp my Rom's zip (i.e : PIMP_MY_ROM-v1.5.3-by-Androguide.fr.zip)
Do not unzip it, inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android and delete "updater-binary-installer"
Now copy the "update-binary-installer" file you extracted & renamed from your rom to Pimp My Rom's zip (still in META-INF/com/google/android). Simply drag and drop it into PmR's zip to add it.
Close the zip and flash it

Ok guys, yes I have installed nstools, and some others things like acid audio mod and wifix and some others system fonts! So what I did? Wipe everything on my phone, and flash again the cm9 build, and then I have flashed PmR again, and with most of the things, and now I am a happy user again heheh, it's working really good!
So I recommend this thing for at least give it a try

One thing you should know, I've tried the flashable version and haven't succeed yet. But I tried the app from Play Store, it works and easier to use
I tried that method and it got me to the bootloop...

[guide]safest way to over clock sgy merruk 2.5

HELLO AGAIN ALL MY FELLOW galaxy y USERS
Till day before yesterday I had some paranoid thoughts regarding overclocling ... but finally came did some logical thinking and decided to overclock sgy (running Hyperion 8)
As it was my first oc I decided to follow this great guide made by
BiswajitBarman
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33879798
Although it is a really nice guide it didn't work properly on Hyperion 8 . I also searched many other guides and videos regarding this but none of them really worked 100% (although one guide did work almost perfectly on Hyperion 7 it failed to work on h8)
Following were the bugs I was experiencing
*root access denied by super su
*unable to underclock below 1.2 ghz
*link to SD problems and root denied
*random reboots
*hot reboot doesn't work and screen freezes if u hit on it and had to pull battery etc etc
So after a whole day of research, trial and error, some suggestions from deadly and others, bricking unbricking flashing via Odin etc etc I finally deviced a fully working easy guide with no bugs to flash meeruk kernel 2.5 on h8 and overclock it to 1.2Ghz :victory:
All the problems stated above are eliminated by this method except for the hot reboot function
Phone still freezes if u hit on it but the reboot works just fine and the phone doesn't take that long to reboot either (about 30seconds )
Other than that no other bugs afaik
NOTE- ALTHOUGH THE METHOD WAS DESIGNED FOR HYPERION .... IF U ARE HAVING SOME PROBLEMS WITH OC ON ANY OTHER ROM ... TRY THIS METHOD IT MAY WORK IF IT (IF IT DOESNT U CAN TELL UR PROBLEM ALONG WITH THE ROM NAME HERE (NOT PM) AND ME IR SOMEONE HERE WILL TRY TO HELP
OK to the procedure now (it may be long but its easy and works perfectly
Note that if u do not follow my instructions properly bricking is guaranteed (or it may not work properly)
THINGS U NEED
superuser.apk (use only this super user)
Kernel Update.zip
Merruk technology2.0.tar
Elite modules.zip
Ext4-Converter-signed.zip
I assume u already have root explorer installed on ur phone (flashing stock is not really necessary but ur choice)
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Part 1
*download the paste all the files given above and paste it in the root of your SD card
*copy the super user.apk and paste it in \system\apps\here and set permissions to rw-r-r using root explorer
*now in the same place where u pasted superuser.apk search for the super su.apk (or any other equivalent that u were using) and delete it
*reboot phone
*now open superuser
*go to settings and UNCHECK outdated binary notification
*do not update the version of superuser I provided
Part 2
*go to SD card in root explorer and search for the MerrukTechnology_Pre-2.0.tar I u just downloaded and extract it (hope u pasted all downloaded files directly in SD)
*u will get the boot.img (before that make sure u do not have any other boot.img on the root of ur SD)
*now boot into cwm
*make a backup (imp)
Part 3
*now go to mounts and storage make sure system, data,SD,cache, sdext all are mounted (if not mount them all)
*go back and hot install zip from SD and select the kernel update.zip
*it search for boot.img and install it
*after that go back and check if everything is mounted (this time its 100% necessary that all are mounted so mount them all if they are not mounted)
*now go back and choose install zip from SD and choose Ext4_Converter-signed.zip
*after success wait for a while (30 secs) and hit back (if u get an error, pull battery boot into recovery and do the part 3 again but its unlikely that u will get one)
*now wipe cashe (marok recommends this)
*reboot system
*if u enter a boot loop, awesome go to part 4
If u do not enter a boot loop and if ur system boots..! Something has gone wrong do part 3 again
Part 4
*pull battery and boot to recovery
*u will notice u r in meeruk kernal's cwm recovery
*mount everything
*go rom backup and restore and simply restore the backup u just made
*trust me ur old kernel will not be restored and u will still have meeruk kernel 2.5
*after everything is restored reboot
*u should phone should boot now
*wait and if u r in a boot loop do 3,4 parts again (its unlikely if u followed my procedure carefully)
Part 5
*after phone is booted and all media scanning is complete
*set ur require settings in CPU controle and Chek apply on boot and apply
*u may NOT get a notification saying CPU control has been granted super user permission but it says values applied ... that's fine
*reboot to recovery
*mount everything
*choose zip from SD
*select 1-EliteKernelModules.zip
*reboot system after completion
*now after boot u will notice that link to SD ,CPU control and all root apps are asking superuser permission (lol) grant them
*NOTE- ALWAYS SET MINIMUM FREQUENCY TO 312 MHz (this eliminates random reboots)
* and enjoy
The over clock works like charm for me with the following settings

So iv tested this for a day now and my findings are as follows
installation - no problems installing
root - works fine
random restarts -none
phone freezes - quite a few times
lag - when loading apps phone stays on black screen for a while sometimes
bugs - when in phone call & screen turns off it will not turn on again through use of proximity sensors and hard to turn back on with buttons it's a bit hit & miss
when phone is in deep sleep or been off a while when you wake it the screen flashes on & off again and takes a few attempts to keep on
recommendations - stay on hells fusion #50 with ext4 file system
to install hells fusion #50 from merruk
Goto cwm
make sure system is mounted
flash hells fusion #50 (just step 2 install hells fusion)
Restart to recovery
goto advanced restore
restore system (you only need to restore system not data boot or cache) from nandriod backup you did before you you flashed merruk
restart
failing to restore system will mean you will not have root
Lol u just reported ur issues with the kernel
If u have issues with guide or non kernel related bugs after installation (like root access denied etc) report here ..
If u have issues with kernel report to the kernel dev
U should know that the kernel is not a stable oc and the Dev is working really hard to make it more stable for us
So instead of suggesting different kernels (against rules) y don't u encourage the dev by appertaining his hard work
And this is one and the only oc kernel that is there for sgy right now! !! Do u want to loose that development too?
Pleez be supportive to devs here
=========HOLO-UBUNTU========theme
I'm afraid to overclock 1,2Ghz, what effect after overclocking.....? effect positive n negative...
:good:
Well even though there is a popular misconception that oc reduces the durability of the processor ... I dont think its entirely true
because ur phone is not constantly running on the Max frequency ... it only uses wat is needed
Also the processors are tested to run very much beyond the specified frequency without frying up.. well atleast good processors are tested like that
Samsung has used a good processor itself in all its phones so oc will not fry up the processor
However it may or may not reduce the life of processor of phones of local campanies like micomax etc
Also reat the previous post (the post above yours
=========HOLO-UBUNTU========theme
After tried your steps in hyperion in about phone it says merruk kernel....but i am seeing only two frequency values in cpu control which 312 and 832....what i have done wrong????? Can u tell me plz...

[ROM]Micromax A210 Canvas 4 Stock ROM (Rooted)

Hi,
I have uploaded the ROOTED Stock ROM of Micromax A210 Canvas 4 (JB 4.2.1). I have just removed GAPPS since it's size was too large to upload with the ROM but that too is uploaded as patch in a flashable zip.
What i did was cook it with Android Kitchen, added Root & Busybox & zipalign all the APK. That's it.
This is a flashable zip which can be applied from recovery.
Clockwork Mod Recovery
Good news, CWM recovery is now available for Canvas 4, here is the thread to download it, I have already tested it and it works, just copy to SD Card, then flash with Mobile Uncle Tools..
Or see the full tutorial here.
As soon as you flash CWM recovery, enter it and Make a nandroid backup of your phone only then try this ROM.
WARNING/Disclaimer -
Flash on your own responsibility. I do not own this phone so am not able to test it.
I am not responsible if you brick your device!
Only Advanced people who can recover from soft bricks are recommended to flash this!

Canvas 4 ROM (Updated)
GAPPS Patch
No need to replace script anymore, i have updated the ROM's zip file and re-uploaded...
I have fixed the Updater script, so now you can flash this zip through CWM.
You just need to replace the updater-script & update-binary in the Downloaded zip file with the ones attached.
How-To:
Download the ROM's zip file, then open with WinRar
Goto-> META-INF -> com -> google -> android -> and there you will see the old updater-script
Now download the new updater script & update-binary attached here, extract both to your computer then drag it to this location of the zip file, In the message that appears, click OK you are done.
Now you can flash the Zip file as mentioned above.
flash in Canvas HD
hi Bro, can I flash this stock rom of Canvas 4 in my Canvas HD??
Not tested on Canvas HD, but you can give it a try since both phones have exactly same hardware including the chipset.. but make sure you make a Nandroid backup of your phone and then try this..
Flashing instructions would be:
Download and copy zip to sd card
Reboot to CWM recovery
Wipe Data/Factory reset
Wipe Cache
Goto mounts & storage and format System
Goto advanced and clear dalvik cache
Apply zip from sd card and flash this rom
Once done, clear dalvik cache again
Reboot
All the best let me know what happens... :good:

Hello,
I just saw this today only It was reported that there is no custom recovery. I do not know whether it is available here and did not google it. I used "MTK tool and obtained the recovery image and I am porting here both the custom recovery and Patched up boot.img files provided by the MTK Droid tool 2.4.8.
It may be useful for cooking custom Roms. The CWM provided is 5.5.0.4.. You. have to flashed through SP Flashable Tool by ticking only the recovery. and again only boot.img the remaining items except preloader has to unticked.
After Rooting with Zen701hd root tool I used the MTK Droid tool 2.4.8 to Re-Root the phone and istall the Super Su as the Zen tool only rooted the p;hone and failed to install the super user. Latter I updated it with Update 1.51 SuperSu. My phone is superbly functioning.
When I ported the zip file XDA server says no security token and I could not port it I am Porting the url. here

I have downloaded and used the custom firmware.
I used the MTK tool to root and install custom recovery.some weeks before.
When I installed this rom soft brick happened to my phone, it could not boot. It stopped for nearly 30 minutes in the boot lago. Then I used the Customback up to restore my phone.
This is my experience.
My IMEI also vanished. Somehow I could restore the IMEI by copy and paste procedure using the Root explore of the Device/nvram file.
May be is it because I was having 5.5.0.4 recovery as installed by the MKDroid Tool 2.4.8 or by any other means.
Any similar experience.

Android Open Collective Project
This ROM was ported from the Xperia Neo forums. It has been created by arch_saiful. I just ported this amazing work so we can enjoy it's rich experience on our device. I have briefly tested the ROM on my device and found out great performance and speed. The ROM must be extremely stable and has big performance potential. I share it as a beta. It's good for everyday use but you are testing it as a beta in the current stage. Please test and report bugs so I can improve the ROM and bring it to it's fully optimal potential on our device. It is based on CM10.1 compiled for the Xperia Neo V. It has been succesfully ported today to our device. The ROM uses Coderzs 3.0.62 kernel (Thanks ).
Original ROM for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V here.

BUGS / NOTES
- You have to install to internal memory, apps 2 sd doesn't work, its a kernel issue
Do this to install to internal memory all the time
> Install Rom toolbox from the Play Store
> Open it and press apps2sd
> Pick internal storage
> This works for some reason.... I don't even know, it just did.
- No headset overheat (Thanks to coderzs)
- Kernel is a bit outdated and unstable, but I'll update it with a newer one later (People help me out by flashing kernels and tell me if wifi works)
- You have to flash that supersu package for root rights
- Battery life is decently good.
- Should be fast and smooth
This Includes ...Awesome...'s AwesomeBeats v5 premium
- Awesome Beats is working, execpt I dunno what happened to the equalizer lol.
- You have to activate the Beats though
> To activate
>Go to terminal
> Type "su"
> Type "sysrw"
> Type "awesome"
> After the Awesome Picture text or whatever shows up, Reboot
> Enjoyyyy
- HOPEFULLY Everyone enjoys this!
KERNELS!
I think this is the .58 kernel, someone try it please --> http://goo.gl/NflO9f ---> Random Reboots
This is coderzs .61 kernel --> http://goo.gl/70fk4i ---> Phone and other things keep crashing + Wifi doesnt work.
I dunno if any of these are flashable, I tried making them into a flashable zip but havent tried cause I suck
TESTING THINGYS
Someone open up the rom, then delete the "boot.img"
Then paste this boot.img there --> http://goo.gl/hpt9Ub
Then re-flash the rom. If it boots up YAY!
If it does boot up, then tell me if wifi works. If yes, then every single thing works on this rom. If not then, I gotta keep messing aroud
Looks pretty good!!!
Can someone test out the battery life. The guy who ported this to the dhd said after 2 days of light usage he was still at 75

Brightness 0 - Plz help
I flashed this devil y'day and it's been great so far, everything works for DD.
It just happened to me that I mistakenly changed the brightness to 0 and my USB Debugging hasn't turned on.
So, I'm in fix, please help me with this, maybe a flashable to just override the brightness setting or something.

Reflash the ROM. A dirty flash though.
Can someone try the coderzs .61 kernel... I dunno if I'm allowed to make a flashable zip, so just replace the boot.IMG in the ROM zip

I flash that kernel, the rom works fine, no random reboots, no screen tearing, it works great, Iam only missing halo.
What is the benefit of flashing .61 kernel here? ROM already comes with .62.
Does .61 heats with headphone or not?

Well I just got lucky without any flash. I did screen clicks at approximate locations for several times and finally put it in auto

i forgot I even had spirit in there .
The .61 has no headset heat, it has no apps to SD problems like the .62
And it also doesn't have the screen brightness issue. You can try and replace it by swapping boot.imgs with Team Infernos ShenduOS ROM.
