Alcatel 918 Preloader download error

I made a complete ROM backup for a new Alcatel 918(Without D/M/N) running 2.3.6. The backup was a success using SP Flash tool.
I intend to use this backup to resuscitate another phone of the same make and model.
I used scatter retriever and so I have a Alcatel 918 2.3.6 scatter.
The problem I have is that I have had no successing in downloading the preloader file...it fails on selection.
What might be the problem?
Does anyone have a working preloader of this version?
I will be grateful.

Moral of the story, never flash other ROM, it will surely brick ur phone if its not meant for it...

Even the great linerty still haven't figure out a way to decode PRELOADER, DSP_BL & SEC_RO...use google chrome for translation, its translation makes more sense compare to other...
With linerty's gscript ROM backup script, you can use it with SP Flash Tool for flashing full ROM except for the above file...the tut here describe on how to use it...
Typically, with linerty's MTK Rom Studio generated scatter.txt, you can just untick everything except android(system.img) & flash it...This will surely restore it...
However, in another word, if the phone you plan to resuscitate is overwritten & that includes the above 3 files like baditaflorin here then there is very slim chances it can be brought back to life unless you have a complete ROM from Alcatel or you could just send it back to Alcatel Service Center...
i have known a few fellow xda member that ask from its local service center(for other brand) when they brick their phone & confirm indeed even these service center is also using SP Flash Tool to flash complete ROM to un-brick it & they manage to get a copy of it... :laugh:
So may be you can try your luck & see if you can obtain it... :fingers-crossed:

Hi, Do you still have the ROM bakup for your alcatel 918 (withoud D/M/N) ?
I will need the primary boots (preloader, dsp_bl, uboot, bootimg, recovery, sec_ro) or full ROM if available..
Can you please add it as attachement.

1- Download and Install correctly Mediatek Preloader drivers
( Take care on Windows 8.1/10 drivers, you need to disable driver signature before install

2- enter Engineering Mode MTK with Dialer code *#*#3646633#*#*, go into log and debugging, tap on user2root and tap on ROOT, shut down smartphone.
3- With flashtool load MT6735_Android_Scatter-Play.txt
4- Select download and connect smartphone to pc (smartphone must be powered off)… in few seconds will start the process and the new TWRP will be flashed.
3.1- To restore original stock recovery, you need load ad point 3 the file MT6735_Android_Scatter.txt
P.P.S to enter in the recovery, power off the smartphone, push VOL + and Power at the same time, you will see three words with VOL + you move selection, with VOL – you must select Recovery

This is great work. Have you got a version of this that works with the latest firmware? I upgraded my firmware to the June v10 firmware and when I put this version on it just boot loops the phone.

I updated the TWRP myself and put it on needrom, for anyone who wants to use TWRP with the latest official ROM. I tested it on my phone and it works I used it to root the phone and install xposed framework.

I did it using the flash tool. I never tried it directly through TWRP. I think you could try it then if it didn't work you would still be able to flash it through the flash tool.

Where did you get the v10 ?
i got v9 OTA, but no v10
have you used the one from needrom ? i see no other source.

Root is possible with KingoRoot (NOT Kingroot)

Only Flashtool to upgrade.
You may try to maintain Data if in flashtool you will deselect Userdata partition before start flashing (and Recovery partition if you want to maintain TWRP).
You loose root and it will be not guaranteed that with new v10 rom TWRP will work again (possible change in kernel)

Flashing EFIESP and MainOS for Lumia 920? (RM821_3051.50009.1424.0004)

Hey Guys,
I want to install Win10 on my NOKIA Lumia 920.
To do that, I need root access on my Phone.
I used WPInternals 1.2 to unlock the bootloader.
Now I need to Unlock the EFIESP and the MainOS Partition of my Firmware (RM821_3051.50009.1424.0004_RETAIL_eu_croatia_511_04_445648_prd_signed.ffu) because I can't switch to Mass Storage mode without SBL3 (not found for my firmware qwq).
When I try to unlock these, I get the error Message:

Okay, I flashed the Engineering SBL3 to my Lumia 920, that worked.
I can boot into Mass Storage Mode but I'm unable to enable root access
Is there a way to enable the root Access manually? If yes, how can I do that?
Currently I'm on OS Version "8.10.14176.243" which isn't on the "supported OS"-List.

Why do you want "Root Acess"?

download FFU from lumiafirmware!
is 8.10.14219.341 and this version is supported
if you dont know product code of your lumia, look in SIM tray (is hidden inside, you need pull it)
or use WDRT to download latest FFU

To install XAPs I need to install (like vcREG_1_6_W10M.xap) to be able to update my Lumia 920 to Windows 10. Or is there another way?

In Mass Storage mode you can mount Registry Hive in regedit. (launch regedit as sytem privilèges)

you dont need to understand, just download custom ROM zip file (dont unzip) and flash it with WPinternals after you unlock bootloader.... and also you have pictures how to do it... pictures helps more than words

Hmmm,,,, I just did what the images "said".
Unlocked the bootloader and Flashed the ROM (zipped) to my device.
Mass Storage still works, can browse through the Storage.
Tried a Soft Reset but the Lumia920 won't boot. I just get the "NOKIA" screen (Black Screen with White NOKIA Font).
Can you help me finding the right ROM for my Lumia 920 (rm-821_eu_croatia_511)?

this is only custom ROM, no others...
few moths ago i put this ROM to 920 and all still working fine. no problems...

I managed to Extract .OFP firmware (C.17) of Realme 3 using oppo_decrypt python script
it is from github. after the extraction i got this files

I myself personally flashed my Realme 3 (RMX1821), it was a complete brick! The instruction is fully working !!!

I don't know if you can flash custom rom since the program only recognizes .pac compressed files

I don´t care how the tool looks like, but if it uses .pac i´m out. And I hope there will never ever be a situation to handle with this format again.

If .pac files are a pain, it's Motorola's fault for installing generic software in UNISOC on Qualcomm, Exynos and some with Helio. The flashing is by Fastboot, RSDLite.

If I ever buy another Smartphone then with custom Rom already installed or easy makeable. I wait for the day to flash my phone for about a year and tried everything so far. The only thing that works was Rescue & Smart Assistant Software to install stock Rom.

Rescue & Smart Assistant is not necessary Motorola devices with UNISOC are recognized as generic Chinese devices you just have to install the firmware with the SoC manufacturer's tool which in this case is UpgradeDownload

I tried that tool and my Phone weren´t found. No Problem with R&S Assistant. Did you ever try this with a g20?

yes i tried it on the e6i, e20, e30, g20

i tried smart assitant and my phone isn't suported its g20, and with the upgradedownload i get a error everytime I try to flash the room, my g20 its stuck on bootloop

I fixed my bootloop with smart & rescue. Not supported? Please tell us step by step what you are doing and what happened.

I put my phone on fastboot and conect to pc, the smart rescue says my phone isn't suported, after I discovered how to choose my device model and downloaded the rom but i get a dll error, will try to follow another post i saw about the error, i checked the post, cant download the fix its a broken link

Maybe Motorola / Unisoc USB drivers not installed. And I booted into fastboot WHILE connected to PC in the moment the program ask for the connection right before flashing.

its the only screen that i can enter on the phone, i updated magisk and now its stuck on bootloop

My phone was so bricked there was no fastboot screen it flashed instandly when I turned it on with holding power and vol up or vol down. Use original USB cable. And what ROM did you use before and how do you flash it? I want dot OS but can´t flash it...

i was using stock rom, just flashed magisk and tried to update, when i try the smart program i get an dll error, can't load the dll

Don´t know whats going on there. I definitely got my phone to work with RSA Software. No need to install dll files. But I have the european version xt2128-2. Maybe use another PC or you use an old Windows Version? What about the Unisoc USB Driver?
