I am sorry for the delay to finish this review. I apologize to everyone here and to Scott @ DBA Cases. I guess I got went overboard got engulfed in my EDC hobby. Lol.
Today, I am reviewing the Ultra Case. With the Thin Grip being my daily case, I was glad to see there was something out there with the same material with even more protection! What's even better is there are a total of 35 different color combinations available. Talk about options! On top of all that, Scott @ DBA Cases practices the best personal customer service experience I have seen in this line of business.
DBA Cases is still growing and needs everyone's support. The prices are more than fair and his products cost far less than some high end companies charge for the same or less protection. What they have done that is completely different is have a two part protective case where you can choose the colors to suit your taste. There are 7 colors of TPU available and 5 colors of Polycarbonate. You can by any of these for just $12.50 each. Should you want to vary your case colors you can buy any of these separately and change the look anytime you want.

The TPU has a glossy finish on the outside and matte finish on the inside. There is very grippy texture on the sides. One of the ways DBA Cases protects your phone is to put a good grip on everything they make. The less you drop it the better. This is the inside layer of the two part case.
The outside shell, also known as the Ultra PC is the same material as the Thin Grip.Made of an extremely high end polycarbonate it flexes when dropped. This is the first part of the case that will take an impact, the TPU inside is the second and easily absorbs any leftover shock the outer shell does not. What is extremely nice is that should the outside shell crack you can replace it for just $12.50 rather than the full cost of a new case. An exclusive feature found in the DBA Cases lineup is the cut out of the camera and speaker openings. It also does an excellent job at keeping the camera off the surfaces you may lay your phone on. Again, the finish is high end. It is very resilient.
This case is very lightweight and comes in under an oz. Very minimal and not bulky.

[REVIEW] BodyGuardz Carbon Fiber Armor

I bought the Bodyguardz Carbon Fiber Armor as I couldn't find a case that I liked. I'm not a big fan of those leather cases, which it seems is all you can find. I would love to have Samsung Book Case cover but it is WAY over priced. Having said that, I purchased this as it allows you to maintain the thinness of the tablet.
Pros:
Allows you to maintain the thinness of the Tablet
Attractive
Comes with a great screen protector (I'm not using it however - I have a Steinheil)
Great "Warranty"
Provides grip to the device
Quick Shipping
Color Options (Black, white, and Red)
Cons:
Pain in the ass to put on.
Thin strips on the sides look retarded.
Thin strips on the side don't protect the entire sides.
Did I mention the thin strips on the side?
Gaps between the back panel and side strips feel odd in the hand.
Provides very minimal protection.
Pricing is $29.99 and it comes with free shipping. I've attached some pictures for you to look at. Overall, I would recommend it for those of you looking for additional grip and a bit of protection. If you're looking to add some personalization to the tablet as well without adding a bulky case this is definitely for you. On a side note, I hope dev support picks up for this device. Half the reason I bought it

Review - Tech21 Special Ops, Impact Band, Rock rep, DIY earbuds

Received a free blue Rock replica snap case when I renewed my contract. Love the grip, feel and low profile. Sadly, it's only good for putting the phone face down and preventing the side/back from scratches...and it matches pebble blue well but looks too kid'ish. Biggest concern is it offers no drop protection at all.
Anyway, I wanted a Tech21 Impact band because I was sold by the youtube vids offering full protection. I got the Special Ops which essentially is the Impact Band soft shell and a 2 piece reinforced soft touch polycarb shell, combined to be a rugged tank of a case. It was free, so I'm going to complain.

IMPACT BAND
The translucent smoke finish matches well with the pebble blue and allows the 3DO to be seen satisfying the more mature and geeky look for me.
Looks like it'll protect just fine although I'm not going to put it to the test. Fit is tight, holes line up, ports are nice and opened, volume gives good clicking feedback. Lip allows for face down. Downside is power button feels a bit soft and spongy and with the 3DO, it adds a bit of width to the overall feel. Also leaves oil/ fingerprints
vs no case
vs Rock replica case

SPECIAL OPS SHELL
This thing is a TANK. With the Impact Band, this is the ultimate protection rugged case.
I'll probably only be using this case when hiking and biking, but finish has a soft feel, fit and finish is very good, locking door for the USB port is very solid. Downside is it adds significant bulk to your phone.
vs no case
installed vs Rock replica case
3M CF VINYL WRAP
Was bored, and since the Impact Band is translucent, I wanted to change it up a little. Easy to apply, but due to the curves on the edges, no way you can get a perfect clean wrap, even with heat. Looks very cool, but I'd only do it if you're using a bumper or clear case...wouldn't do it naked.
OEM S3 EARBUD CABLE with SONY MDR-EX300 IEM.
I love me my music and I love the OEM control/mic, so to have the best of both worlds, behold, my Frankenphone. The Sony buds sounds amazing, and one day I'll invest in the 700's. These are the perfect choice due to price (you won't find better sounding IEM at this price point), and the easiness to take apart and quality of sound.
Apologies for the huge post and wall of text..

Review of KLD Iceland series slim folio case for S4 w/lots of pics!!!

I honestly had no intention to review another S4 case (as you all know I do a ton of reviews here, link in my signature), but when I got this case for someone else - it just looked so cool for such a dirt cheap price, I had to review it. So here you go, Review of KLD (Kalaideng) Iceland series slim folio case. http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/KLD...laxy-S4-S-IV-i9500-i9505-i9502-MLC-I9500-212/
You really don't have high expectations when the case cost $3.83, but once you open it up and see how original the finish looks - you'll be surprised. The inner PC holder/shell is super slim with a secure grip and all the precise cutouts for power/volume/camera/flash/speaker ports. It's a typical design with wrapped around sides and open top/bottom. What makes it unique, and I do have to admit it's targeted for ladies, is the finish of the cover. It's obviously PU leather material and feels like that to the touch, but the visual has this frosted finish. Once closed, it should keep S4 screen from scratches, and also has a cutout at the top to continue using a phone even with a cover closed. Just a basic folio case with a very nice finish, and also a fancy packaging at one fantastic price. Here are the pictures.

Since this is for the ladies, I want to make sure guys are not left out I had a lot of other stuff ordered from TVC-Mall.com as well, including this cool 11-in-1 multifunction tool: http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/Fas...nction-Tool-with-Free-Leather-Pouch-HHC-2030/
I know it's only $1, but this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Measured approximately 69mm x 45mm and about 2mm thick, it's smaller than a credit card, made out of heavy duty stainless steel, and has 11 built in tool which are actually useful and functional. Everything from can and bottle openers, to flat screwdriver, a ruler, a hex and butterfly screw wrench, knife edge and saw blade. The only thing, it doesn't come with a leather pouch per description but rather a thick plastic one. Honestly, I wouldn't expect a leather pouch for $1 anyway. I actually got a few to keep it in my cars. Here are the pictures.

Protect your big S8+ Screen with a CrashGuard from RhinoShield

CrashGuard bumper from RhinoShield for Galaxy S8+Phone skins are really great to add style to any phone, plus they’re not expensive, but they provide minimal protection if you happen to drop your phone. On the other end of the spectrum are cases, which are generally more expensive but offer much more protection. Cases are bulky and they don’t let the beauty of your phone show through because they often have to cover all four edges as well as the back of the phone.
That’s where CrashGuard by RhinoShield comes in. CrashGuard is essentially a bumper case, which means that it does not cover the back of your phone but only the sides (thus giving your device a more “naked” feel), but because of how it’s engineered, it provides more protection than most cases. CrashGuard is far superior to the bumpers of the past because it has been engineered to absorb impact. This is done by utilizing a proprietary polymer material that is far more shock-absorbent than plastic, and it also has a protective honeycomb structure within the bumper to disperse impact properly. In fact, within the honeycombs are compartments of pressurized air that act as airbags and deflect impact energy. If that sounds really elaborate, it is, and the net result is that you can drop your phone from a variety of heights (up to 11 feet) and if you have a CrashGuard bumper on the phone, you’re going to have a completely unmarked phone. You’ve probably seen the insane drop test video. Here is a drop test video with the Galaxy S7 (RhinoShield tells us that they’re working on their S8/S8+ drop test video and it’s going to be epic):

The bumper is super-lightweight, weighing at only 12 grams (less than half an ounce) yet it is still fully capable of providing at least the same level of impact protection as many leading brands or any other brick-like case product.

Not only are CrashGuard bumpers durable, but they’re lightweight (with most of their bumpers coming in under 14 grams). They’re also pretty grippy thanks to the matte finish, and they come in a variety of colors. Another thing we really like about the CrashGuard line is the pricing: the Galaxy S8+ bumper is priced at $24.99.

Question Looking for the slimmest clear case available

I've tried a ton of different cases, but always go back to the Samsung Aramid because I just can't stand the bulk of most other cases. Now that I've got my Fold3 skinned, I'd like to be able to see it, and I'd rather not go naked. I've tried a couple of clear cases so far and, while they look pretty good, they're just too bulky for me to use on a daily basis.
Have any of you found a clear case with a thickness similar to that of the Aramid (or at least approaching that size)?
Where did you get the skin from , if you don't mind me asking ?
I'm using the araree nukin 360p clear case with my D Brand teardown skin and loving it. Adds very little bulk to the phone. It comes with two differnet hinge protection options, one for the spen and one smaller thinner one for hinge protection without the spen. You could also use the case with the hinge protection removed for an even less bulkier option. I've dropped it a few times also and its survived just fine.

I appreciate the input. I happen to have the black version of that same case, but I actually find it to be too bulky as a daily for my tastes. I only use it when I'm going to the beach or know that I'll be in other areas where the chances of it being dropped or exposed to debris are higher than usual.
It's going to be tough to beat the aramid for slim form factor. This phone, IMO, has the highest sensitivity to added bulk. In other words, cases; even the ones phrased "thinnest", still feel on the bulky side. The truly bulky cases make you feel like you're carrying a compact hardcover book around!
Peel makes some really thin cases which are about as thin and protective as skinning. Being a rather avante-garde product, case production runs are somewhat limited especially when compared to a more popular phone. (eg. iPhone XR)
