Group Text and Picture in Video? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hello all,
I just wanted your experiences with group text and how to capture a picture from video.
What do you use to reply all to iphone users and being able to group text? I don't want to get an app that everyone else must have. I mean if that was the case, we may as well use email.
What have you guys downloaded to allow you to take a picture from video?

Photo added to contact = low resolution

Hey there,
The following is happening with my device.
As soon as i make a picture (high quality @ 5 MP) and add it to a contact the photo will be very low resolution and even pixelated when the contact is calling me, or if i add the contact to "my favourite people"
Is this a known issue? if so, how can i solve this?
edit: need to learn to use the search..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443637&page=2 is the solution

I think this is due to TF3D. Same prob like low-res background
Hmm I suppose you're right. I also need to learn to use the search...
i found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443637&page=2
And the solution there works perfectly.

Compress recorded videos to send as a message?

On my old iphone, HD videos recorded with the phone would be automatically compressed to be sent via text message.
On my Note 2 I can't seem to send ANY videos with the messaging app. I always get a size warning when attaching a video.
Does anyone know of a way to compress videos to send over mms? I do not want to record the videos in a lower quality resolution as this ruins the video for myself.
Does nobody send videos over mms?!
Maybe handcent or gosms would do this.

Try Vidcon from the play store. It's sort of like Handbrake for android, but much easier to use. Vidcon not only allows you to compress a previously recorded Hd vid but you can also change the format, among other things.
I also didn't want to record low quality vids on the chance that I might at some future point want to send it as mms. It is not free but the demo allows full functionally for 4 to 5 days. So you can see if it meets your needs. Hope this helps, and welcome to the android club.. ..

I think for now I will upload my videos to YouTube and send links to friends and family. Honestly it is a bummer to see that auto compression of mms videos isn't on my Note II.

Sending videos through MMS.

I don't understand why HTC can't incorporate video compression to send videos through their messaging app, without having to change the recording format to MMS. I thought the new messages app was based off of Google Messenger which lets you send any quality of video, iOS has had this for years. What does everyone use for sending videos over MMS?

Have to use the application called as Quik.... and import those motion/Live pictures... ( have to disable extra music / effects ) to get the original format...
anyway... its a set back... but achievable alternate till Huawei figures out an inbuilt option to export directly as mp4/gif like samsung...
Hi there. I tried disabling the effects but I there is no option in quik. You can disable the music but not the effect. Does anyone else know another way to convert moving photos to gifs or videos?
