[Requested] looking for samsung music player - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hi guys. Ive been looking everywhere for the original music apk from the stock rom from the t989. Ive searched and searched on the and have found nothing but moded music apps. My tmobile t989 originally was runnin on stock rom with ics. Im running the jedi mind trick X rom which is great but the original music apk is not there anymore. All that is there is the google play music apk and im not found of the walkman music or Apollo music apps. Any help would be great. Thanks everyone who stopped by and took a look

You should be able find it in a stock rom flashable zip. Just open the archive and look in system/app. I would post it, but I don't have a stock rom on my sdcard. My phone hasn't seen stock almost since I received it.

I've always found the stock TW music app to be deplorable. Have you looked at Power Amp? It's universally considered one of, if not the, best music players on Android.

You can use the S3 Player on Jedimind Trick, Will test it now on Jellybean.

Are you just looking for a good music player or stock player?

Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23338273 try here and make sure you use the older version (2.3.2). The newer version will cause you bootloops. I'm running unofficial slim and that's my player of choice with the acid mod.

[req] pleeeeeeeeeez do this!

Could anyone who has ported the stock MusicPlayer.apk to CM9 post it here! I've been trying to do this for weeks and i cant seem to get it right (mainly because I have no experience with command prompt). It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
couldn't you just pull the apk and stick it in to system?

Nope as it requires TouchWiz stuffs which CyanogenMod does not have.

'Pleez'! New from the makers of Cheez Whiz.
You can download the Android Music Player from the Market and replace the one you have. It is exactly the same player.

The music player is one of the reasons I almost never flash miui or cm7
Honestly the music quality got better for me when I stopped using 5.1 and started using a custom equalizer and sound effect
For custom equalizer I use 4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4
And for effect I use bass enhance
The custom equalizer increases treable and some bass too

Yeah I tried others, but they don't come close to the touchwiz music player. I really want it on CM9.

Stock galaxy s music player

I have tried a lot of music players but the one that has captivated me is the stock music app of galaxy s but since I flashed a custom rom I have not been able to find it. Can anyone tell me where I can download it.

Take it from an deodexed stock ROM... Not sure if it'll work, but I can definetely say that it's a bad player for better in-ears. I use Apollo from CM9.

I'm on 2.3.5 XXJVU unrooted. I prefer Apollo to stock as well. Although, I'm not sure if it is compatible with GB. Would you know if there is anyway I can have it ?
Afaik Apollo doesn't work with GB. So you have a stock ROM without Music Player?

I'm on the official unrooted 2.3.5 Stock ROM and that comes with the stock music player. I wish Apollo was compatible with GB.

Oh sorry, I thought you'd be the OP .
OP, sorry if I diverted your thread in any away.
I got it from rooting a stock galaxy s and transferring with blue tooth file transfer. Now it's left with the installation.

it wont work because it needs the touchwiz framework.
Some people tried to let it run on all roms but a coded code in the app makes problems
give a try to walkman from sony

Is it noticeably better? I considered doing that, but wanted to see if I could just install a working DSP instead.

It basically is DSP just renamed to match beats and use beats audio libs while using standard DSP libs I assume sounds equal to me on jb

Beautifully? That's not what I would call a FC after any option you check
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Well, I've given the Awesome Beats a test run, and although it is noticeably louder, the sound quality suffers greatly. I think I would personally prefer just a working JB DSPmanager.

So, I loaded this DSP on my JB'd Nexus, and it works with Apollo and the Google Music player, but it has issues with Spotify for some reason. With some songs, it plays just fine. With others, it cuts out after a second or two (you can hear it fail).
Sad Panda. I basically need DSP on my phone to be happy with it.
That's another bad thing about Awesome Beats, btw - it ONLY works on Apollo and Google Music that I know of. DSP works on everything (well, it's supposed to).

Yep. And thats sad. I would like to have a working DSP for Awesome Beats Rom
So that it works with all Music Player. "Music Folder Player" is my Choice.
When i flash DSP Manager for ICS it will not work cause i can not choose it in SoundSetting. To be speciffic. I cant set any MusicEffects after flashing it.
On Stock JellyBean it will maybe be different cause it will have no conflict with Awesome Beats.

Apollo app just appeared

I just had the application, Apollo appear on my Nexus 7.
Any ideas on how this happened?

You flashed Cyanogenmod
Did you flash the Beats + Xlouder 4.1.1mod?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889522
I did install the JB louder audio patch. I am running a stock ROM.
Any harm in disabling Apollo?

Does the jb louder work? Can you notice the improvements. The beats I notice a quality improvement but don't notice my device being any louder.
You could disable it, i dont see the harm in it. but its a great music player
IMO Apollo is horrible. It's ugly, buggy and does not have a lot of functionality. Can't understand why CM10 includes it.

Yeah the BETA was so much better. Doesn't really make sense. Apparently the dev is rewriting it (like the 454534534th time) but it seems more like a dropped project.
I really do like Spotify's simple interface tbh. Not many do though lol

Apollo music player is included in the beats+xlouder zip.
No harm in disabling it, just that your music player may not support the mods. You could even go to /system/app and delete apollo.
I use the Sony Walkman player ported from the Xperia T and its really good
