extended battery? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Accessories

I know the battery life is already very good, but does anyone know if an extended battery is available? Not an external supplmenetary supply, but a true replacement for the internal battery.

[Q] Does ICS have correct percentages for extended batteries?

Okay so, my last phone was a Droid X2 and I got a 3500 mah extended battery for it. It was on Android 2.3.5 and Android's battery meter did not correctly read the battery's percentage.
When it got to 1% battery it would simply stay there for a while before it died.
I am wondering if this problem is fixed with the Galaxy Nexus or ICS in general?
I purchased a Seidio 3800mah battery and I'm curious to know if I can rely on it's battery readings.
Thanks in advanced!

I have the official Samsung Extended Battery (2100mAh) and it reads it perfectly. Charges all the way to 100% and then dies at 0% (doesn't hang at 1%).

Thanks for the quick response
I see you said you have the official battery and I'm wondering if there's anybody with a non official battery (if that even makes a difference).
Also I'm wondering about high mah batteries such as the 3800 mah from Seidio or another from Mugen Power.
Thanks
The percentage comes from the chip in the battery, not ICS. So any official battery would output the correct SoC which the driver can read. A cheap battery may or may not depending if that manufacturer setup the chip correctly.
Android 2.3.5 was identical. If it was a 3500 seido they typically give correct charge. If it was a cheaper one then thats why your droidx didnt display properly.
Has to do with the fuel gauge chip, not the OS. Galaxy nexus uses max10740. Nexus one used ds2784. Droidx was totally different too. All depends on that chip.

Yes it was a cheap off-brand battery and that probably explains why it wasn't showing correct percentages.
Thank you!

mugen 3200 battery not showing real capacity

Hi.
I have bought mugen 3200 battery for my sg2 to replace my samsungs 2000mah extended battery.
I have charged it for 8-12 hours for few days, as described in their user manual, but somehow i'm not getting "REAL" capacity from it.
i'm using Resurrection remix 2.7 with siyah kernel 4.1.5.
i have tried mugen calibration app, but i dont think it does anything...
i have tried to do the "RESET BATTERY GAUGE" in extweaks, perhaps it will recalibrate again, but as far as i can see, i do not get the real battery presentege.
battery is draining just the same as my Samsung's 2000mah battery.
is something wrong with the battery? the phone? kernel? rom? with me?
thanks.

Moderately thick extended battery?

Hi guys,
I am using Anker 2200mah battery right now, but it is still too short for me. I don't know if it's because I am running MIUI, and i heard MIUI roms usually have short battery life. But anyway, do you know any extended battery that is LARGER than standard battery BUT not TOO thick like those 3800mah or 4000mah? Just in between would be so nice..but i can't find it anywhere. I really don't want my phone to be way too thick, but slightly thicker is not too bad.
Thanks for your help!

2200mah might be the largest you could find thats the same size as the stock battery. Beyond that is gonna be the size like the 3800mah and 4000mah

Internal Battery 3830mAh??

Found this battery on Aliexpress http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...D821-D820-battery-BLT9/339866_1760720916.html
Wondering if thats even possible? and if anyone have tryd it out?
the battery is easily replaceable if you know how to open up the phone
I know how to change it. Wondering if this is possible 3830mAh where the stock battery is just 2300mAh.
Buy it and put it in battery tester. File a claim if it's not 3800 mAh.

Non-OEM batteries make false claims about their ratings on a daily basis. They never provide as much power as they claim and using them increases the risk of your phone exploding.
Even if it's a full 3830 mAh the cheap knock-off batteries like that typically have greatly increased internal resistance which leads to not actually achieving any better battery life.
It's not ideal but if you really longer battery life I'd recommend an external option, like this.

Replacement Battery

Is there any replacement battery available with higher capacity?
Yes, there is. It's a replacement Power bank battery with Quick Charge 3.0
With the current price... You can buy 2 phones....
I have it since almost 2 years and now with lineage OS battery is clearly the bottleneck.. I have change broken screen but battery its too complex
is really bad the battery life?

Battery life is not bad in Stock rom, But in all other custom roms the battery life is terrible,.
Battery life is fine on custom roms. Use AKT profiles (balanced or battery settings) to extend life.
