Thanks for a new 4.2 release. Will this install move all SD card content into a folder named "0" like Groupers's rom?

Okay, thanks. If I decide to go back to a 4.1.2 rom, will it reverse this, or will the files need to be moved from the 0 folder back to the sdcard folder?

Nothing will be lost, it will just be moved to a folder called 0, which you can safely move back after flashing.

From what I understand you will not "lose" your files, it just moves them from /sdcard to /sdcard/0
Hypothetically moving your CWM/TWRP backup files back to /sdcard from /sdcard/0 should get them to restore properly. Again this is only in theory, I haven't tested that. You could also just wait for an update to CWM or TWRP.
Edit: /sdcard/0, sorry

downloaded fine for me.

Same problems as other builds Google now not working due to location settings not being on even when checked and the keyboard gestures don't work and gallery settings won't open ...other than that all is great and fast

Google now doesn't work nor does navigation because of GPS issues. Even though in settings GPS is turned on. The ROM is farely smooth and fun to look at but it drinks the battery like tasty koolaid.

Funny enough I made a similar version in my Home forum, but I added semi transparent popup (also slightly more square, only 2 degrees) and based it on CM9 Launcher (compiled from source). If you are interested, I can PM you downoad link.
So sorry for highjacking this Thread, if you`re not happy with this post, I will delete it. In any case feel free to add my version to OP, if you like.

Just use my update.zip from one of my threads and drag your apk in the zip. You can change name in update script with Notepad++ in MetaInf folder, so people don't read mine all the time
BTW - I will answer your PM once I'm back at my PC tomorrow.

Flash the ROM
Then do a DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE before rebooting.
After the first boot, let it sit for a couple minutes.
*The UVLC8 ICS radio is required.*
There are some reports of Touch Recovery causing problems. This is not 100% confirmed, but if you have any problems try non-touch cwm.
This is a base ROM. It is very similar to CM9, which it is based off of. As development continues I expect it to differ significantly. When Samsung releases the source for the T989 I will begin building the ROM, but until then it will be a base ROM.
Change Log:
Code:

Changed base to CM9
No more call echo
NFC Working
Fully AOSP System & Apps (Plus some CM stuff)
[U]1.2[/U]

Tap to focus in Camera does not work
"Use only 2G networks" option in Settings does not work
Changing "Preferred network mode" in Settings may not work

It is a .zip you flash before the ROM, it wipes data, cache, etc, but is better than doing it from the recovery. It's not necessary, I just think it is better.

darkside.cache.wipe.zip is also really cool ia use it all the time. its great it wipes cache, dalvik, and fixes permissions. (clears and fixes junk data, easiest way to discribe it)doesnt touch the emmc, sd, system, or data. id grab it to.

[ROM] 6.01.605.05 Stock OTA ROM (6/27/2012)

So after a long wait and a lot of people asking about it. Here is the full 6.01.605.05 Verizon Wireless OTA. Packaged with the new kernel. The only thing that has been done to it is it is rooted, busybox installed and init.d support enabled. This ROM is still odexed and I've uploaded 2 versions.
1 is full stock with all the apps as if you just got it (with the exception of SU being added.
The other has most of the VZW apps removed.
Feel free to use this ROM as you wish. Use it as a base or whatever. There may be add-ons at some point but I'm not promising them

Nice - maybe this will help solve the weird shut-down/boot problem my wife's phone just started doing today. I can't stand all that VZW bloat (wish that ICS was out for this phone).
Would you mind breaking GSM support? I don't need it, and I already miss the complaints.

Maybe try to get rid of some more bloatware as well - ill post the findings. lol.

Deleting Memory

Okay, so I go back between 2-3 ROMs, and on each I have different stuff saved (pictures, music, etc). How can I delete everything?! I don't want to lose my root or anything, I just want a clean memory so I can stick with just one ROM. Thanks in advance.
I've attached a picture to help explain my predicament.

do you have twrp as recovery?
Yes.
May have figured out a solution. Currently on VectuS, went to data and am cleaning out music, pictures, UCCW, and other miscellaneous items. Will then flash to RB and do the same, see if it makes a dent.
Well that didn't work. It says it's deleting them, but when it's finished, the files are still there.
go into recovery, go to wipe, advanced wipe, and click internal storage. this is for 2.6 i cant remember how it is for 2.5 but it will be in the wipe menu.
Alright, I'll check it out.
If you have TWRP 2.5 go to Wipe and then you should have two buttons, Advanced Wipe and Format Data. Use the Format Data option

I'm not 100% positive, but I think that wipes our SD-data/media

Well I went to file browser in TWRP and cleared out all the music, pictures, and stuff I didn't need. That got me 6 gigs. When I back up a ROM, do I need to keep that file or can I get rid of it?

I mean it wipes out our SD card. No files at all to flash with. You end up having to ADB sideload it to work again. Unless your lucky enough to get your computer to recognize it.

Yeah yeah, you're right. Would manually deleting be a better option?

For his purpose, probably. @McSkullough, there is a file, I believe it's a logcat that will eat a lot of memory. I think it was in /mnt/emulated. Something like that.
spleef found it or heard about it from someone

I don't have a /shell folder in mnt. Do I need to be running a cm based ROM to see it?

As long as there is a CM ROM and/or stock ROM if wanted, on the sd it's fine to wipe /system. Just make sure you flash or restore BEFORE rebooting. That make sense?

For me, that logcat shows up in root of my SD. So it's easy to get rid of. I usually run stockish, but try all the Roms we have available.
