[Q] Voice command in Camera - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi,
Git my Galaxy note 2 and is really an incredibly creative device.
Well, I have a question, Can I use the voice command in camera or music application?

Yes if you open up S Voice and go to setting there is a option there to control apps with your voice. Click on it NOT the checkmark and it will let you choose what apps you want to control.

Camera shutter

I know this is probably on everyone's mind, so does anyone have a way to mute the camera shutter sound? I searched for camera muting apps, but none seem to be compatible with the E4T.
Is there a camera app that maintains the quality of stock while allowing muting?
Thanks!
edit: Not sure how to change this into a question thread

Yeah, but you probably don't want to root just to be able to mute the camera shutter sound... at least not just yet.
I've found it quite annoying how you can't mute the shutter sound despite the camera app I try.
I've gone into every app I have, that offers shutter sound setting, Set it to OFF, and the phone continues to produce shutter sound when taking pictures.
Is this a bug ?

Right. Not worth the trouble in my case, but it is pretty lame.
A coworker read somewhere that I could use Tasker to mute the system, so I'm working on that approach.
There is an app in the market called shut up! camera! Requires root but amazingly it works with just one press of the disable button!

s voice is not working in samsung grand prime

Hello developers,
I have been trying to make the s voice work in samsung grand prime, g530h model but having no success. the application opens up, and closes with the error: unfortunately s voice has stopped working. My device is not rooted, and I don't want to take a risk of doing so because I'm still beginner. I desparatly want this appplication to work. Can you suggest any solution without asking me to get a better phone such as s4 because I think it's the best one in terms of price and specs! Looking forward to your experiences on such issues.
I don't know why they removed this Samsung Apps, they have good features S Voice, S Health, etc....
Sorry Noob Question

Thanks Brother.
I also tried 11.0.0.4. But it feels laggy and not very good at "listening" :/
Any news on this one ? Any "new" version out that works on the Grand Prime as well other then 11.0.0.4 ?

I have the same question/problem... hoping someone has an answer. It appears that it has been disabled by sammy.
Use the double drop down to show the gear icon. Then long press the gear icon. Once it converts to a gear icon with a wrench on it, SystemUI shows up on settings.

Having trouble with this. If by "double drop-down" you mean two-finger swipe down, that brings down the full notification panel (toggle switches) panel... there is no gear icon on it.
If I swipe down with a single finger, there is a gear icon above the list of notifications, but it does not change to a wrench no matter how long I hold it.
help?
That is how I did it originally on Marshmallow. I am on N Preview now, and it is still the double swipe drop-down.
Let me get the link I used on matchmaker and post here.

I think you are trying to use the brightness icon, not the gear box.

I am sure I am not using the brightness icon. I am pressing the gear icon at the upper right of the screen (next to the one that looks like a grid).
Actually, I read the article you referenced before you posted it -- and several others. This is why I posted this here... that gear icon just doesn't do anything for me. I have read that some vendors have chosen not to use the System Tuner UI... and came to think that maybe Sprint or Samsung ditched it.
I see you are posting from a Nexus 6. Have you gotten it on a Samsung TouchWiz device?
Let me try really quickly.

okay... thanks for the try.
I asked about the System UI Tuner in another thread and have not found a way to access it. Given that some of the things System UI Tuner offers were already in TouchWiz, I wonder if Samsung just left it out. If true, this would be unfortunate because I don't know of any other way to control which icons appear in the Notification bar.
why are you posting in a note 4 section about your nexus?
can we ban members from showing up on our accounts when we come to the forum so we have less clutter like this?

LG G8 Camera Silent Shutter

Anyway to do this? Or is there a decent aftermarket camera app that works well with this phone that has the silent shutter option?

My Tmobile G8 has no such setting.
Last I checked, there are several Silent Camera apps in the play store, which mute the system upon opening the camera. I tried a couple free ones, but they were made for older phones. I haven't tried them all, I was hoping the community might help figure out which ones work.
Open Camera works well and allows muting, but it can't use the wide-angle.
My good old Silent Boot app also became outdated with this phone, so a new one of those would be great as well.
I have the unlocked Amazon Alexa version of the phone and I also don't have the shutter sound mute option under settings. I will check out a 3rd party camera app.
If I use a 3rd party camera app will I be losing photo quality over the stock app? That's my only fear
Open camera >settings >useful features >shutter sound.

no such option on my phone
I just turn on DND temporarily. It turns that sound off. You could try to turn on vibrate only too. It's a hassle, I know.

Nope, not on this Tmo version of the phone. Which version of the G8 are you using?
Did you mean the app "Open Camera"? In the latest version of that app, it's under "more camera controls".

Most other apps I've tried aren't well integrated, have different processing, or won't use the wide camera.
We need either root (hah!) or a new Silent Shutter app that mutes the phone when the camera launches. The apps I've found on the play store are for older phones, let's hope a new one comes out soon.

I opened my camera like I was going to take a picture. Upper left, there's a gear, setting symbol. Went into that and then useful features > shutter sound. Verizon, model LM-G820UM, Software G820UM10d.

Interesting. I wonder if it's only verizon phones that got lucky. I wonder what the other versions have done.
