Best Gnex Screen Protector - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I don't care if it matte or antiglare
I just want it to be solid and not flimsy
And I am staying away from eBay so try not to post links for one on eBay.com

Which one should be better guys? ArmorSuit MilitaryShield or Fantom Tempered Glass? Im between one of those two.

I'm using the one that came with my otterbox, its crystal clear and doesnt attract minor scratches

Ok, now i don't want the Fantom...im torn between the AmorSuit MilitaryShield and the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD. Im also looking for a case, and my top option is the Seidio Active with kickstand.I love the idea of a kickstand. I find myself often trying to put something on the back of my phone to hold it on my desk in "dock" position.

I can thoroughly recommend the Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic.
Easy to fit with no bubbles, great looking glass-like finish and far less annoying finger prints than the glass screen. I'm nearly completely over my obsessive screen cleaning issues!

hmmm, been looking to replace my old screen protector, but complaints on this one is that it's too small, doesn't cover the entire screen.

I'd advise you to stay away from ZAGG. I have been using one since 2 months now and it's FAR from invisible, though it's smooth but not invisible!

I had the xgear fantom...twice...it kept lifting so now i'm without. It is a great idea, I wish they would perfect it.

I'm using the zagg screen protector. Most people complain about it but I love it. Its super good at absorbing shock. I don't know how many times I've dropped my gnex screen down, and the screen in still flawless.

Honestly get one of those cheap dry application mulitpacks you find on eBay. When applied correctly (YouTube for tips on application), they are as clear and smooth as glass. I did one on my co workers evo 3d and he was so impressed with the cheap skin

I prefer ghost armor. Covers the whole screen , anti glare, impenetrable (keys/pens,) lifetime guarantee and lifetime replacements. Best 20 dollars I have spent.
Edit: You can order it online or have professionally installed if you're not confident about doing the install yourself. http://www.ghost-armor.com/

Screen protector suggestions?

Are there any good screen portectors out there that dont compromise my screen quality? I saw someone with a matte textured screen protector on his iphone which looked neat, but are there any that would effect screen quality for the E4GT? Finger print resistance would be a great plus too.

I've tried:
SGP Ultra Fine
SGP Ultra Oleophobic
Sprint clear/matte
Reallook Crystal
The SGP Ultra Oleophobic is anything but, it got terribly messy quick. The SGP Ultra Fine takes away too much of the screen quality due to its matte finish. By far my favorite is the Reallook Crystal. These fit the best, are inexpensive, (2 in a package) and don't seem to fingerprint as bad as other crystal protectors I have used. They also do not reduce screen quality at all, it's the best protector I have used on the E4GT.
I tried several different dry and wet application types and ended up with sgp steinheil ultra crystal. You dont even know its there except that it gathers fingerprints a bit faster than no protector.
I've been using Ghost Armor since my Evo and I love it. It's $35 for the whole phone and only a $5 replacement charge for whenever you want it redone. It also carries over from phone to phone.

I have used zagg dry and wet and have put the sprint oem protectors on customer phones. The zagg dry is awesome. I have had problems with the wet in the past but bought it anyway when I got my et, and it came off right away. Got the dry model and it is substantially better.

+1 on this one also.
I've tried a whole mess of screen protectors for all my phones and I always end up back with SGP Ultra Crystal. I hate matte finishes because they make screens look like garbage so I usually lean towards the clearer versions
I have had several people comment that they couldn't even tell that i had a screen protector on (which is the look I am going for). Downside is, because it feels so close the the original glass, it also attracts fingerprints just like the glass would but this is not a deal-breaker for me. If you ever buy a "cheaper", no-name version, some of them actually look almost as good initially but I have noticed they tend to scratch WAY easier than SGPs.
Hope this helps
+1 on Steinheil here as well, easily the best screen protector you can buy. I have the Ultra Crystal and my only complaint is that it attracts fingerprints a little quicker than I'd like it to.. but this is true for all crystal protectors. Keep a microfiber cloth at home

I can't believe nobody mentioned Ghost Armor besides myself. I can't see any downside to it. If any of you have a rep in your local mall, you should really give them a shot.

Yep another vote for sgp ultra crystal. Best quality screen protector I've ever had and as an added bonus, the easiest and fastest install i've ever had. literally took a few sec to align and bam it's on. no dust underneath or anything.
Got the SGP ultra crystal and it's really easy, fingerprints collect but easy to apply.
I've used www.clearprotector.com in the past and my phone survived many falls without a broken screen or scratches.

I heard the Xo skins are decent but these sgp ultra crystal look interesting too. I have a zags screen protector now and I'm not a fan of it. Fingerprints, 'orange peel' look and although mine was used there are colored specs visible in some light, idk kinda weird.

Best ultra smooth screen protector

Yeah yeah I know there's a lot of topics about screen protectors of the one I'm serious about one that is very slick this very tough to the way I can use a stylus, Yes I'm probably still one you remaining few people who play drawsomething. The one I'm currently using a cut down from a wrapsol that I cut down and made to fit my phone. The one I currently have shows all lot of scratches on scrapes and marks. I want one that will not show any blemishes after taking a beating.

I'll vouch for Realook also. I used it for my Vibrant and now I'm using it for my S2.
The only downside to this screen protector is it will bubble (without modification) if you're using the D30 case due to the super tight fitment. There's some tricks you can do to avoid bubbling. Just do a search.
Amazon is selling a pair of the screen protectors for a very low price of $12!

Gadget Guard
http://www.gadgetguard.com/
I have this on my, phone, laptop, gps, my kids iPods. I put this on 30 Panasonic toughbooks at work and also about 10 different tablets. I won't buy another product ever again.
Pros: It heals itself if you use a stylus and it leaves makes they will go away, if i get a small scratch in an hour it will be gone. This doesn't include major damage. 100% life time guarantee, whatever the reason, if your gadget guard fails to live up to their high standards they will replace it, free, for the life of your device.
Cons: Dry install was a little tough, Wet install was easier but it is a little scary for electronic devices, If you wet install it will take a few days for all the little bubbles to disappear it goes faster if you let it sit in the sun.

best non-glass screen protector?

hey guys. so I had a problem with the Zagg Shield HD...once I got the extended battery and the case for it..it kept lifting up. My wife has her on her phone and it's now got a bunch of marks on it.
So I tried the Spigen glas. protector. looks beautiful but always had sensitivity issues. They sent me a free replacement. still, i'm not enjoying the phone as much and I feel it's down to how I have to press extra hard on the back button and type extra slow...
so, what is the best "old-school" screen protector i can get that won't affect sensitivity but still protects the screen from scratches? I need one that won't go to the edges but also won't just be the screen part...if that makes sense. something like the coverage of the Spigen glas without the sensitivity issues i'm having with the glas.
thanks!
Try the Anzer/Amzer. What ever it is called. I plan on replacing my Spigen Glass screen protector with one of those. I hated my zagg invisible shield HD.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
searched Amazon and three versions came up. they all look like they go to the edge of the screen, which is not good with cases on the extended battery. that's why I had to get rid of the Zagg...
any others?
I am just using the one that came with my Diztronic case and I ordered a pack of 3 screen protectors from Amazon for $3.85 (for my wife's GS3). They are all clear, don't mess with the sensitivity, and look great. If I hand my phone to 10 people, 9 of them wouldn't even know that have I have a screen protector on there and the 1 that does know would know because they are looking for it.
I don't know why everyone insists on getting these tempered glass screen protectors or the Zagg-like (rubber feeling) screen protectors that you can't poke a pen or a drill bit through in a YouTube video. All I need is something that will keep my keys from scratching up the screen in my pocket and if it does scratch the screen protector I want to be able to replace it quickly and cheaply. For basically a buck each... You can't go wrong.
I still have the original 'cheap' screen protector on my old Vibrant that my kid is using and it still looks great so I have never needed to change them out. I still have 2 out of the 3 that I bought back when I got that phone so I am ready to go if/when it needs replacing.
Spigen nano clear is good. It came with my case. The edges only go to the edge of the screen so it's good if u have a bulky case. It's also really easy to clean and feels smooth like glass
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
anyone try the Spigen 4H protector?
the nano and clear are 2H, the glas is 8H, this one is 4H and seems to be more like a film but stronger than the other models.
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/sa...axy-s3-screen-protector-steinheil-series.html
I'm looking for a good and cheap screen protector too. I prefer the dry application hard plastic ones (4H), I don't like the tempered glass neither the wet application skins.
I have the SGP Ultra Nano Clear and it's good sp but scratched easily. I had the Ultra Crystal, it was better but the fit wasn't right (too big, caused the edges to peel). I think they fixed its size already, not sure.
My ideal sp would be the curved and clear with 4H hardness and fingers print resist at a price of less than $15 (for 2 ps). I found one from korea - SkinPlayer 3D, but it's more expensive than $15 and can't be found outside korea. there's a topic about it -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856079
I think i'll go with the Ultra Crystal again. unless somebody will recommend a cheaper sp with the same or better quality.
sounds like you're describing the one I posted above in terms of look, hardness, price, etc. but now it's just a question of whether it'll peel on the sides or not...
any other suggestions?
I'm really ITCHING to get rid of this Spigen glas thing...I was ready to order the Nano Optics but the reviews are so mixed for those online I don't want to waste my time and money anymore.
why do local stores only carry Zagg?! ahhhh
Go with the just like glass protector by dba. I just put it on and it feels exactly like the glass.

i appreciate your enthusiasm, but there's a few things that concern me. Spigen makes the glas, and both of them have had horrible sensitivity. second, the curvel crystal makes it sound like it goes to the edges of the phone...and that was my problem with the Zagg Shield HD...the cases were lifting the edges badly.
is either of these things happening to you? do you have a picture of how it looks on the phone?

I got my gnex for a quite time now and finally it got scratch. It's not big one, but it annoys me. Now I'm in for a screen protector. +1 for this. I have used several other screen protectors (ZAGG, Spigen, Clarivue and a couple of others), and this one, while not the easiest to get on, works great. Great feel and I like the way the screen looks when it is on. Because it is a matte protector, it is not invisible, but no real orange peel and it is not sticky at all - great finger feel on the screen! And cheap as well!
I hated any screen protector that I put on my Galaxy Nexus, after buying it I put on an Xtremeguard wet apply full body, after 4 months, I took it of.
Screen protectors suck and reduce the usability on the phones at times, some of them are pretty sticky or not as slippery and smooth as the glass.
PIE from AOSPA has never been so easily, I still use a case, but I bought my phone to actually use it, and I've been affecting my usability by babying it. It'll be so worth it unless you're really that paranoid about a scratch here and there.
No screen protector doesn't work for me. I work in a machine shop and metal chips find their way in my pockets daily. I prefer the non anti-glare 3 pack from Walmart or target. I forget the brand but they're cheap enough and don't interfere with usability.

Screen protectors?

Is there any company out there that makes screen protectors like SPG? Currently I have the Verizon screen protector with the diztronic tpu case and it's already peeling. I know Skinomi makes one but it's a wet application and I really don't like the feel of it. I know Skinomi has a sticky feeling to it like Zagg when you glide your finger on the screen. I have searched across the Web. Seems like no love for the Maxx.

No, Skinomi is the best protector. Zagg is a piece of crap! I have used multiple Skinomi protectors (never the whole body ones) and loved all of them. I have the Skinomi on my MAXX right now and my fingers glide like on polished glass. You have to be in a dust-free environment and have an assistant help spray your fingers with the applicator. There is a science to doing it right. Also the lifetime warranty is awesome.

SON OF A B... I feel like I am being punished for upgrading early or something! I have the anti glare screen protectors. The girl at the store did a GREAT job of putting them on. She even used scotch tape and everything to eliminate dust. Well...I'm on day 6 of use, and now my protector is peeling off. Why are so many things going wrong with my purchase! I agree with skinomi being on top, still have a skinomi on my original droid razr maxx for almost 2 years and you cant barely tell its on there.
I bought a skinomi and I think it sucks. When I think screen protector I think of something hard that can not be scratched. These "tech skins" are some kind of soft gel. I actually gouged it with my fingernail while swiping.
I use the xtremeguard. Feels rubbery and not as durable as I expected. I scratched it intentionally using my fingernails and it failed me.
Sent from my XT1080 using xda app-developers app
using skinomi.. it is a soft type material but protects well.. and the items it comes with just makes it easy to install. if you gauge it with any small scratches or even your fingernail.. dont worry about it, it heals itself back.
Here's a follow up on the verizon anti glare 3 pack. I'm still on my first one. It's got quite a few tiny marks but not visible when display is on.
Once in a while my defender or Trident cyclops cases will make the edge bubble ever so slightly but no dust has accumulated and upon removal of cases with built in screen protectors it goes away.

Another +1 for Skinomi. I am currently using it. Application was a cinch. And they have an application video to aid. It is applied and I put a Otter box on top. Feels and looks great. Not as stick or gelly as I expected. Perfect.

Long story short, my mother just got this phone a few days ago and I know the amount of abuse she inflicts on her phones. She normally just throws it into her purse with all the other stuff. I'm trying to find a protector that can handle whatever may hit the screen. I've used Skinomi and like them but I've used a tempered glass protector and I like those a lot more. Do any of you have a recommendation for what type to get?
P.S. I already have found her a case, so the body of the phone should be safe.

I've used Skinomi and like them but I've used a tempered glass protector and I like those a lot more.

I haven't seen any of those for the Ultra series yet. I have a Skinomi, and have had it on the phone for 5 months now - it's just fine. Occasionally the case will start to peel the edge a bit but it's always easy to get it to adhere back down. In fact, I haven't seen that happen in weeks.
So yesterday I removed my anti glare screen protector (verizon 3 pack) because it was due for a change. The screen was so hard to see, very shiny and reflective, but it did look slightly clearer.
But I became weary and installed another one. Lol.
Anyone have clear full body armor?
