You can change dpi by modifying build.prop or with an app like DPI Changer

Please don't use DPI Changer, I had a major problem with it and it bricked my GNexus 4.1.1.

It didn't brick anything. By definition it isn't possible for software to brick your device since a brick is irreparable.

hmmm im not sure i wanna try dpichanger. any other way?

use this. its the manual way and quite a bit safer. if you have any issues, just ask, and we'll be able to help you.

Could somebody provide me with the stock dpi for the 8.4? I flashed a ROM that has a different one and forgot to check the original first.

It's only an icons pack or it's the launcher?
Any way to install UX5.0 on G4?
And what about this one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/bl-lock-ul-android-6-0-marshmallow-t3459260
Thanks for your answer!
Do you only need a theme? not a custom UX 5.0 rom....

That one is actually a non-rooted rom. The way it works is like flashing a normal LG TOT, just u must be on the version it requires first.
Just watch the tutorials there (and yes, there are) and try to understand what your supposed to do according to that.
Its a full G5 theme, rootless.
Also you wont be voiding your warranty cause you didnt do anything that "ruins" the warranty according to the actual warranty files

OK, i don't want to root my phone anyway so that woukd be great, i prefer keep my warrantly safe & don't do anything that could "ruin" it!
But i'm not sure about "flashing a normal LG TOT" , what that mean?
When u talk about the version, it is v20a, v20c, etc ??
Do you know if it stable to use it?
And if i have any issue with this rom can i restore my phone to factory settings like i have right now?
Thanks for your help

So first thing, u need to be on version v20J, but it can be on any H815 variant.
Second of all, when i meant that its like any other TOT flash, you pretty much flash it in the same tool u flash V20J on, just you upgrade and not refurbish.
There is a tutorial in that thread, it may explain it better
And you do know how to use LG Flash Tool, right?
It`s just like installing a normal app and you can uninstall if you dont like and yes it does change the icons and also you get the G5 wallpapers. After you install it go into menu and then just change it under home screen (themes) then you will also get a preview before you apply it... :good:

Does it have the appdrawer with this thème?
Where did u found that thème link? On xda or somewhere else?
I didn't find it on the forum!
No, then you will have to get a custom rom that has ported the UX 5.0 , not just the visuals like this theme does...
I dont remember where I found it, its been a while since I downloaded it after searching both Xda and Google for new themes for the G4 as I tought the themes available in LG "store" was boring and more suitable for "kids" ..... So I searched around and found a bunch of different themes I liked and saved them
But just try it and You will see if you like it or not....... , it is easy to uninstall and will not do any "harm" to your phone :fingers-crossed:
But if You really want do customise your phone, I suggest You read up on the different ways to do it here on Xda , there are guides and descriptions of everything You need to know :good:

If you have any of the H815 variants (L/P/T/International [which means nothing after the H815] and etc) you shouldnt have an issue with the rollback. This isnt like with the carrier variants that block it.
Just make sure when you roleback on LG Flash Tool to click Refurbish on the KDZ, and not UPGRADE. I've made that mistake once = it equals soft brick, even though its MUCH easier to unbrick a non-rooted soft brick.

Galaxy Wearable App on Rooted Device

Hello,
I would like to know how to install the Galaxy Wearable app on my rooted Galaxy S9 (SM-G960F) running Lineage OS 15.1(-20190429-NIGHTLY-starlte), I have followed the instructions on every thread I could find numerous times and I'm still getting the following message:
Notice
The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorised way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again.
Any questions please feel free to ask and I will reply ASAP.

this is a build.prop issue
jaroulz, what did you change in the build.prop? You basically need to tell the watch that its not a samsung device. I always chose HTC in the alternate build.prop choices and it worked 100% of the time
It's all sorted now mate, I used the props mod from Magisk in order to modify the file build.props following the tutorial posted by EvilWayz in a different thread.

It might be a stupid question but once I've done all of this and managed to start the Samsung app, can I revert the file build.props to what is was before? Or does it need to stay like this forever? Using the Magisk Props Mod, how do I revert back to the original build.props file? Is there any backup file somewhere?

no stupid questions man! if you revert, itll likely crop back up as a problem. Its been a while since ive had to deal with it, but im thinking its a bad idea to revert
