Gameloft games - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have several gameloft games that I am trying to get working the note 2. They are dungeon hunter 3, back stab, shadow guardian, and starfront collision.
So far I have gotten starfront hd to install and download the extra data but the game exits after the intro movie. I tried the non hd version and it won't download the extra data. I am currently downloading the extra data for dungeon hunter 3 downloading I will try it when finished.

So you went to Google Play and bought Backstab then it downloaded and it crashes?

I have tried backstab yet. I had the apk from my previous phone. It was starfront collision that was crashing. Starfront collision isn't listed in the play store or on the gameloft site for this device so I think that one is a lost cause. I will probably have to end up buying backstab again. Dungeon hunter 3 works great.

You can get the new downloads for the new phone if you contact Gameloft.

Thanks for the input. I will contact them about starfront.

I have tried NOVA which is from Gameloft and it works. Further more every game I tried worked.
All Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, minisquadron, doodle jump, Meteor Blitz, Speedx 3D, Pumpkins onsters, Modern Combat 2, Death Worm, Grave Defence HD, Zenonia 2...
All work. And they work perfect.
About gameloft games : in yhe game hub you have 12 of them which work fine on the SGS2.

If you factory reset your phone you have to buy them again, unless you backup the apk, no new titles available on there.

Incompatible Games

Firstly, my SGS3 is completely stock and not rooted.
I've been having issues with games not being compatible and then seeing other people playing the game that was incompatible on my phone. It started with Modern Combat 3 which refused to download the additional data because of a "connection issue". I contacted Gameloft who sent me a new APK which had the same problem. They then sent me Asphalt 6 and Gangstar Rio: City of Saints all of which had the same problem. I have since tried MIBIII and NOVA 3 which both said that they were not compatible with my handset and to request a refund.
Apart from when Gameloft sent me a game, all the games were purchased/downloaded from the Play store.
Is there something that I am doing wrong or is there a work around that I haven't been able to find? I've searched a stack of threads and haven't found an answer to hit the nail on the head.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Even i'm not able to install most of the games you have mentioned above, if you find a fix, please do update here
Thanks

All of the games you mentioned have worked (or work) on my S3.. i dont know why you are having issues.
NOVA 3 works fine for me, but Modern Combat 3 even does not shows up in playstore on S3, and if i try through web it says it's not compatible with my handset, i've non-rooted stock ROM in my S3, i've already purchased MC3 earlier for my S2
Thanks
Real racing 2,gta 3,reptile gp, raging thunder 2 works great.

Same, MC3 and 9MM doesn't even show up in the app store.
This is one of the reason i'm unable to ditch my iOS devices
had no problems with nova 3 on s3
i have seen a video of a person playig N.O.V.A on his s3.
one more incompatable game for s3 is fifa 12 ( i really want to play)
These games work on my rooted stock rom with chainfire3d and nvidia's drivers installed. The market fix males them visible too.

Hardcore games

Can someone recommend me some good hard core games for the T989D that run well and without any lag? Eg. Gta 3, Dark Knight Rises. Thanks
I am really stuck on Dead Trigger. It runs very smooth and the graphics are really great. It's free.
N.O.V.A. 3. Shadow gun. Asphalt 7
Check out the glu game called bombshells

Splinter Cell, fast & Furious ..... if you are a soccer fan... Fifa 12 and PES 12 work fine for me :good:
Check out Mass Effect: Infiltrator and Dead Space. They're both done by the same studio, who's taken a great approach to touch screen controls. Rather than just trying to fake a dual stick layout, they've really incorporated touch and swipe gestures. And the graphics are great.

[Q] [q] Best gameloft games now?

Here's the old threads, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1607643 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778316
What's the answer today? I heard they took Xperia Play controls OUT of Nova 3, is that true?
I'm looking at MC4 and Asphalt 7, I need a third game
ZombieWood is a good option. Others: Wild Blood, The dark knight and the best of all, Modern Combat 4.
Other new great game; but not made by Gameloft, is Bladeslinger.
I'm pleased to report that if asked nicely, Gameloft will provide a direct download of version 1.0.2 of NOVA 3.
I anticipate also getting MC4 for sure.
Got MC4 and Asphalt 7. Got to disable AdrenoBooster for Asphalt, still have some FCs. MC4 works great.

Good choice with mc4 its a great game. I got that, wildblood and i might get asphalt 7 not sure if i want to yet becsause i dont play racing games very often and i already have nfs mw. Whats better asphalt 7 or nfs mw?
Sent from my r800x using xda developers app
MW - Better graphics, most realistic, licensed cars, great carrer mode. Bad soundtrack
Asphalt 7 - The visual is not so realistic, gameplay like arcade. Great soundtrack. Multiplayer mode
My favorite is MW, but asphalt is an great game too.

Nice i love the fifa games i had fifa 12 but uninstalled it because of low memory. What size sd card do you use to fit everything? And what rom do you use that runs high end games the smoothest?
Sent from my r800x using xda developers app
I have a SD Card with 32GB Class 10 - Samsung. The rom is AuroraPlay V8.1 GB 2.3.7 Based. The best for me at this time. All games running smooth. Follow the link if you want download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124442

I haven't played NFS:MW yet. Asphalt 7 looks bad in screenshots but actually looks and feels really good while playing. I would compare it to NFS:U on the PC, except instead of drifting mode it has a big powerslide feature they call drifting But it's actually really enjoyable. I didn't enjoy the analog control much, but using the gamepad on the Play is great. If I really want to play a simulation, I can play Gran Turismo 2!
I've only played a little MW4 and Nova 3 so far. I think Nova 3 is actually the better of the two games from a technical perspective. It feels much more responsive and the graphics come across better. It's also better from the perspective of playability on small screens. In MW4 you're expected to shoot stuff that's just a couple pixels across. It has autoaim, but it can be pretty hard to even see what you need to shoot on a 4" screen. But this is just a first reaction to the game engine, really, not the game overall.
I havent tried nova 3 yet. But i heard they removed xperia play controls. Is that true?

Nova 3 1.0.2 available from gameloft
I don't even know if it's true, but if you see above in this thread, I emailed them and asked them for version 1.0.2 which I understood to have Xperia Play controls (from another forum thread, if I find it again I will link it) and they sent me a direct download link to the right version. I can confirm that version 1.0.2 works on my Xperia Play with full gamepad support including analog controls.
Im already have nova 3 1.0.2 version, but the touch analog got problem when on vehicles. Really annoying to control it but already finish the game.

For games check out a site such as pocket gamer. Thats were I get most of my game reviews from.
For apps, check out the threads in the apps section of this forum. There are various discussion on the topic over there with regards to best drawing apps (sketchbook pro, layerpaint, inkbook, artflow), note taking apps ( lecture notes, snap pad), as well as other useful productivity apps.
Thanks
I will go through it !!!

For triple A games, these all work great:
The Bards Tale
Max Payne (remember to put graphics settings to maximum after installation, because the Note 8.0 can easily handle it).
Horn
Dark Meadow: The Pact (will crash to home screen the first few times it's run, but is fine after that)
That's all I've installed of the big games so far.
While not on the play store, I know you can install games like Doom 3 and Half-Life... Which I intend to do eventually.
Wild Blood
modern combat 4
need for speed most wanted
the amazing spiderman
Gangstar 4
the dark knight rises

Do take a look at Real Racing 3 as well. It is terribly addictive if you're even a little into cars.
My cumulative gameplay time has crossed two days in about a Month. So I spent 2 whole days out of about 35 playing that game!
The Note 8.0 can run it very smoothly even in power saving mode.
Also, take a look at some printer apps like Printhand, even prints via USB, very useful
