Texts Wont Split

As title says, any way to fix this? I am using InfectROM Eternity, Sense 3.5, Android 2.3.3
Workaround is to use go sms and then enable splitting in its settings then use go sms as your new texting app

I do the same with handcent.

SMS app that shows the time when a message was sent

On my ol' HTC TP2, the text messages showed the time when they were sent and when they were received. Any android app that does a similar job?

i use handcent and you can longpress the message you sent and click on message details. it shows the date and time...not sure about the received times
Stock does.
GoSMS does as well. I like it because it also has a built in backup/restore function so when I see a new ROM in the Dev section and the flash-aholic in me makes me download and try it I have an easy way to put back the SMS messages which are otherwise lost in the flashing process...
Thanks for replying. I am using GoSMS and I can find out when a message was sent. This should an option you can turn on to display permanently. Stock doesn't seem to do it, unless I am not seeing an option somewhere.

[Q] Group texts in CM10's Stock SMS app

Apparently you can't send texts to groups in the messaging app of CM10? If it's there I can't find it. I mean I can find groups in the contacts app, but can't send any of them texts.
Edit...this started as a question but after no answers, I'm left to assume group texting is not possible with the stock CM10 SMS app. Anyone recommend Handcent or Go SMS on CM10?

Update...a great workaround from Elixis...a free app ChompSms. It's icon even looks almost like the stock. Love it so far. Be sure to also get the free emoji add on for Chomp. It has over 400 symbols.

[Fixed] Can't get MMS to work with aftermarket apps?

I am having problems with go SMS and hand cent and crunch SMS getting able to send Mms. The stock app works fine but all the aftermarket ones can't send messages. I am on nexus4 on att. Any suggestions?

Its an Android 4.2 issue, couldn't get Handcent or Chomp to work on my GNex either. Interesting thing I found is if I use Handcent to start a text to a group I have set up then delete Handcent and finish the MMS with the stock app I get an error like "You are not authorized for this service" this is on Straight Talk At&t. If I add each person individually with the stock app the MMS goes through.

Handcent came out with an update to fix this but it still doesn't work

Hey I got this to work today. Turns out you have to type your MMS APN settings manually into the SMS app, as I guess they no longer can access the settings themselves.

Not sure exactly what youa re referring to in the app? Can you post a screenshot? Are you creating a seperate APN for SMS/MMS?
Thanks in advance.

Stock MMS vs Hangouts MMS

I was using the stock messaging app because I like it a lot and and I started to see that pictures looked like crap when sent to others even after changing the mms to 1000k. I then started using hangouts and saw that pictures are set more high quality, why is this happening on stock? This first image was sent via hangouts and the second image was using stock messaging app, you can see a big difference in quality

you have the option to set mms to 1000k!? my stock app only goes to 300k! haha wtf
Yeah I'm on att but still when you attach the photo it's like 80kb which lowers the quality a lot

I'd prefer to use hangouts but I send and receive a lot of pictures for work and am often on wifi. On hangouts I have to disable wifi to download the mms. On stock, I don't

Yup. Send fails over wifi. You'll receive a text saying you have an sms, but it won't successfully download until you go off wifi.
Mms is sent through the cell network so it makes sense, but the stock app works which makes me think it temporarily disables wifi in those situations. Why can't hangouts do the same?

Yeah my stock app compresses too. I only got 100-300k options. Bummer too cuz I like it more than other messaging apps. If there's a fix to this I'd like to know.
