10gb in a day - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Thanks for letting us know

I believe their limit is 100gb a month. Read a few post ppl getting nice letter from sprint once they reach that limit
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium

try force roaming and tethering that much.

Why don't you pay what you owe?

Hopefully they do.

You know abusing the network to get out of your contract is not ethical, right? You're also making the network slower for others, aswel.

Lamest thread ever.
Pay your ETF or pay your bill. Quit being a shyster (which has become a common word in my lexicon after reading some posts on xda lately).

Troll bait removed.

Hopefully they will notice you have been tethering without purchasing the tethering plan and bill you at $.25/MB.

I have a perfect system in place to royally screw AT&T every month out of spite. AT&T is a whore of a company and I do that stuff as a sort of protest.
Why would you do this to Sprint though? They did nothing to deserve this.

What do you mean discount? I think you can even grab an employee discount for your service. Also - try to get an Airave from retentions, it'll help the service at home.

Who lied? Have you gone back and disputed this? If it was done at the store Customer service can't do much as there's no proof to what you're claiming is true so the best option is to go back to store and vice versa. Airave does help if you qualify for one. Check www.sprint.com/airavecoverage. For your discount you have to apply through www.sprint.com/verify but nothing anyone can do in regards to the % the company you're claiming offers.

Discount for ups. Store said I would get it then they said no because I'm on the second line. And wouldn't let me return the phones. It was at best buy. Supposed to get 22% off. Called sprint and they said it on best buy side. Went to best buy and they saying nothing they can do. So stuck.

Yeah just read that as well... kinda sucks because I use bill to Account to test the phones without having to wait a month and a half to receive a refund. Sprint current policy is refund process within 10 days of receiving phone 21 business days to cut check and 14 business days for check to arrive. Had this happen to me with the nexus s... so I will not buy a phone without recommendations from you guys for now on...lol...

I can understand for new accounts but if you have been with Sprint for years this should still be an option.
It is until Oct 5th then no more at all.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
I actually am surprised they went this long and still allowed billing to the account.
I'll bet they get stiffed quite a bit by people ordering phones, then never paying the invoice.
If it helps Sprint keep money in their pocket, and in turn helps to keep unlimited data indefinitely, go right ahead and take that away to. Better that, then to have to pay extra for what we already have.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I again don't understand why long time customers can't still do this.
Obviously if you'be been with Sprint for 5 years or more you're extremely unlikely to do something like that.

However, doing so for the purpose of defrauding a privider, IS.

$200 is the carrier subsidized amount you pay. Sprint pays $300 for the phone upfront and make it back from you via you PAYING your bills. (they don't profit till the 2nd year of contract).
There is a reason OFF CONTRACT phones cost $500+.

im assuming your account wont be cancelled right away.. it will first be suspended for non payment then after so much time will be cancelled for non payment at which you would have so much time to pay it before it goes to collections.. once the account is cancelled the esn is good.. sprint still makes there money which is why they have etf's.. if you dont pay it they sell it to the collectors who harass you until its paid..

Yeah...I don't know what makes him think that if he's exactly 1 day late, they will cancel the phone. Sorry dude, doesn't work that way. I don't think they suspend service till you are 30 days late. Even then the account isn't "cancelled". Eventually it will be. The etf will be tacked on to the bill you already owe. After an amount of time, it'll then go to collections, in which case, the amount owed will "grow". At the end of the day, collections, late fees, etf fees. It will be big bucks and screwed credit.

S3 ex gf

Hello. My ex girlfriend cut my phone off when I broke up with her. I went to tmobile corporate office Store and switched the phone to a prepaid. 2 months later she is calling me saying I have to pay her 400 to cancel her plan or she is reporting the phone stolen when I paid for the phone. Can she do this? Since I had it switched from her plan on mine which is prepaid.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Wait...the line is under her name? You're screwed lol, her account, her phone. She can have the imei blacklisted and you have yourself a nice android version of a iPod touch.
If she does report it, you can keep the it or sell it for parts, don't expect to get too much for it though.
|When Emotion Goes Up, Logic Goes Down|
|Even If You Fall Face First You're Still Moving Forward|
How did you pay for the phone ? Did you pay through T-Mobile or to her or what ?
If you paid through her she can do this and you'd have to take her to small claims court or something and hope you have enough proof to win the case. This is pretty much the same way that people on CL scam people into buying a phone and then stopping paying for it / reporting it stolen - and there's plenty of evidence of people getting burned that way.
Otherwise, this is why it's a bad idea to have things in a significant other's name when you're just dating. At least with marriage there's automatic legal recourse if you divorce (even if it's still an expensive and drawn-out process). This is just way too much ridiculous drama, I'd suggest that you talk to a T-Mobile rep but they're going to have to sift through all this he-said she-said crap and I can't blame them if they can't figure it out or just don't care, sorry dude.
if you have the receipt and it was paid for by your bank card, then that changes the game to in your favor not hers. (this happened to my step dad)
That 400 is probably the early cancellation fee PLUS the contract price of the phone.
You're best bet is to convince her to spin the phone off from her contract to your own contract. T-Mobile won't care as long as the contract isnt broken. In this case it's not, she has her contract and you have yours.
Good Luck
Damn what a hateful chick lol
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Exactly. I paid 235 with my bank card at the store to get the phone. And I paid 100 for her cell phone bill. Her bill was 95 a month when I got the phone with my employee discount added it dropped the bill to 145 a month. I was paying 80 a month for my half of the bill.

Flash phone because can't pay bill

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to flash to a different carrier such as virgin mobile, straight talk, boost mobile, cricket, etc. Prepaid, something cheaper than $80-90 a month for unlimited everything. Also, will they blacklist or give my phone a bad ESN if I don't pay my bill? I just started my contract. Thank you.

If they did not get their end of the bargain, you won't get yours too, so pay your bills or just pay the ETF and sell off your phone.
You can flash it to other CDMA carriers, search for it around here.

For the time being, this is half true. Nationally, a carrier independent database is currently in works. Per CTIA's last report to the FCC on the subject, the GSM database was complete Oct 2012 and the LTE database will be up and running this November. Additionally, both VZW and Sprint are currently participating in multi-carrier databases that are a bit more limited than the one that will roll out later this year. Coupled with this, the FCC is championing legislation that will criminalize modifying a device's IMEI to circumvent blacklisting.
So, my bill is due today. I want to flash it to cricket and Really want to keep my number. Will it work?

No. They will not release a number when you still owe them a considerable amount of money. Furthermore, this isn't something that will just go away. You will get hounded for the money you owe. First by Verizon, and then by a third party debt collector. It will negatively affect your credit and there exists a possibility that a court judgment could be sought against you. On the off chance it comes to that, you'd be looking at owing more than the past due amount and ETF.
Have you tried calling Verizon and working with them to adjust your level of service to something you can afford at this time? Another option would be to sell the phone on Craigslist and use that to pay down the ETF. You could then get a prepaid phone which will assist in keeping your usage manageable until you're in a better situation financially.
Just a small example of how and why our economy is so f'd up.
good day.
Unless you don't care for the carrier, call them and see if you can work something out, like splitting your bill over two months and changing the plan.

I think there are 2 points here:
1. Berating strangers on the internet is just as unwise and unjust as doing so in person. We can't judge someone else's hardships and we have no right to try. Savings and planning can only go so far in the face of emergencies.
2. Solving financial problems by planning to violate your phone contract is also unwise and unjust. Contracts are binding (and if one person breaks them the cost gets passed on to everyone else), and emergencies are what savings and planning are for.
I, personally at least, think this thread is best resolved by saying: OP, I'm glad you worked it out with your provider without breaking your contract. Congratulations on your baby. Without knowing what emergency you are facing, I hope your next few months go better for you. Thank you for your service.
