Hi all.
Has anyone managed to get the free Samsung Australian Navigon app working?.
It just says our device isnt supported when I try.
See attached screen shot.
I know u could probably change the build prop to get it working, but I would rather not!

You're right... for some reason the navigon app isn't working on the Note II. If you have a look at the comments under the Navigon app in Samsung's app store, you'll see a lot of people have mentioned the same thing.
I am waiting for the phone to launch in Australia so I can grab the official Australian firmware and flash it. Hope it works then!

if you do manage to get it to run by flashing over to the stock australian firmware, let us know, as i'd like to do the same, but i've not been able to find a rom yet, apart from the optus one for the n7105, which i think might brick my n7100 if i tried to use it.
have you tried changing the csc code? or the product.locale in the build.prop file? if you could get the navigon app to think the handset was australian in that way, perhaps that would do the trick.

Hi,
Yes I already tried that,
I couldn't find a csc for Australia, so i couldn't try that.
And i tried changing the product locale, but it didn't work.
I think that our device hasn't been added to the supported devices list in the navigon app, so maybe if I change the device id I could make it think our device is a s3 or something.
Does anyone know which line in the build prop I should change the device id on?, as the are a few with our devices name on, but i tried changing one a while ago, and my phone wouldn't turn on, and I couldn't get in recovery, so i would rather not do that again

Hi! Sometimes when i unlock the phone, it remains in a black screen (like in print screen) and i need to lock again and unlock to work. What is this problem?

well I might not be able to help you, but with only that much of information noone will be able to.
Plz tell us what rom, what model etc etc give us the information we need to help you^^

stock rom (icl53f), without root.
i bought the phone 3 days ago and it was ok till the last night :-/ maybe a conflict with some apps?

It probably is an app that's doing it as a stock unrooted phone shouldn't have issues like that.

It may not fix it but at the vet least you should boot into recovery and:
Wipe dalvik
Fix permissions
...and then reboot. If it is still there after that then you know you have bigger problems.

This happens to me on aokp sometimes as well....I'll unlock the phone and I'll get a black screen with just my recent apps button showing and the only way I can do anything is pressing the apps button and going to a recent app and then the rest of my buttons will show up....I'll take a screenshot next time and post it here

Have updated phone to Ice Cream Sandwich, all is well so far, yet I am unable to reinstall my PURCHASED version of Whale Trail. It states that my device is not "compatible". I have contacted the devs and they have said basically nothing of use.
Has anyone experienced the same with this app or any other app using ICS?
It is also unavailable when I search for it in the market, it only appears in my history of apps for my account.
I don't want to have to go through changing the lcd bla bla bla as I am unwilling to root my phone and fiddle with things I rather wouldn't.
Please discuss and share some light!

I would just like to know if anyone else who is running on ICS on SGS2 are able to download and play this game with no hiccups.
It is a live wallpaper right? I can install and run on my phone w/o any problem. Framerate is enough. Yeah lags happened occasionally because it's animated.

Have already done this and they gave no help at all. Basically said to stuff it! Can someone running the same os try and download the game through market please and reply.

I dont think its touchwiz, I also habe SGN2 and no N icon with NFC enabled...
could it be that you have branding???
I don't see this N icon on my Note 2 either when NFC is enabled. Is this because I have an international GT-7100? Can anyone with international GT-7100 check if this N icon (in the OP) shown up? Today I went to stores and found that Rogers (Canada) Note 2 has this N icon and I thought my NFC broken. So far I haven't a chance to test if NFC is working or not.

I have international verision too. The icon is not there for me either.
Your CSC decides whether or not to show it. The EE CSC shows it, the Hong Kong one doesn't.

I thought specific carrier will enable it or not. So it is a branding specific feature.

but that can be able...
German N7100 Unlocked, use NFC daily multiple times and I've never seen that icon in my life! My partner's S3 doesn't have that icon either with NFC on all day as well.

I have a galaxy s3 on AT&T running 4.1.1 would love to root this phone to add some roms problem seems to be I have a Mac. Anything i try I git errors or it just don't work. Can someone please help me thank you for ya time

Did that video and it wouldn't work. Followed all the steps. And got an error in terminal

I believe those command tools work only for 4.0 stock builds.. not 4.1.. You're kinda up a creek without access to Odin..
Well dam that's not good. Any update when this will work for 4.1.1?

Final Edit! Okay I found it, at least for the US Market, it is not in the Play Store as Samsung said. It is in the Galaxy App store, waaaay at the bottom of "Staff Picks"
What a strange place to put it. Thanks for those who helped find it. Looks like the Canadian version is in a different spot completely!
It's also mostly free in app currency, like free diamonds or gems and other crap. This promotion is total bull**** pretty much.

^^^ OK, thanks. I think I found it, I see what you are talking about now. In staff picks on my N7 it's not on the very bottom, but about 2/3rds of the way down. It says "Galaxy Game Pack" then under that "free items & credits for galaxy!". I think this is it at least Thanks for the help!
