Samsung Apps Missing - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just buy a new galaxy note II N7100, and the app "Samsung Apps" is missing, so si the Kies air app... Is this normal?

I didn't found it either, but you can enter to samsungapps.com and download it, maybe it will say that you are going to replace an already installed app (it happened to me), and at the bottom of the main screen there is a tab called "Apps selected by samsung", there is Kies Air, Polaris Office (full) , Application monitor (widget) and others that used to be in old stock ROMs ( some of them were in my SGS2)

Thanks!
Thanks a lot man! that did the trick!

Page Buddy Not Loading?

Hey guys, I got my Note II yesterday and absolutely love it. Background before my problem of Page Buddy not loading...
It's rooted. Removed some apps via Titanium that I don't ever use which includes, Email, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News, Visual Voicemail, T-Mobile TV, T-Mobile Name ID, Messaging ( I primarily use GOSMS). Instead of TouchWiz, I used Apex Launcher for a little bit, but went back to TouchWiz.
Now, when I remove the S Pen, it doesn't say "S Pen detached" and Page Buddy does not load. The phone vibrates and makes the sound that it's detached, but it doesn't say it. I've gone into settings and checked marked "Open Popup Note" and it does that just fine.
I've since then uninstalled Apex and any other launcher I had. I would restore my nandroid backup if I had one. I'm surprised I forgot to make a backup considering it's not my first time rooting phones.
I realize development and support are not that strong right now, but any help is appreciated.

Download Samsung SideSync 3.0

SideSync is a new PC-Mobile solution that enables the screens, windows and data to be shared easily between PC and Galaxy smartphone,
or between Galaxy Tab and Galaxy smartphone.
It works for me (I'm on windows 8.1 Update 1 on my PC and on Android 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S4 GT-I9505)
Download the PC app here (Direct Link):
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...ideSync_3.0.1.459_5_callForwarding_signed.exe
Phone APK (Mega Link):

More info on Samsung SideSync:

how do u use this it wont connect ?
Hey guys,
Concerning SideSync, I've found that the minimum requirement on smartphone side is Android 4.4, that's maybe it doesn't connect and moreover, it looks like a confirmation from Samsung that Kitkat is coming to GT-I9300 (the app being providen on samsung apps for the gt-i9300 makes it obvious )
The info on the sidesync site is here http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/convergence/sidesync/
Thanks.
I installed this app on my galaxy 3 and I get FC when I try to launch the app. BTW I am on omni .
Hi there,
I can see you have Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition),
can you tell me if it works with this tablet?
i can't download it on the play store, "not supported on my device"
Thanks

[LIST] Bloatware that can be safely uninstalled/deleted (42+ apps)

Hello guys!
So I've just got my tab pro 8.4 wifi. Being a previous owner of Nexus devices, the first thing that I'm about to do is delete all the Samsung crap (I do, however, want to keep the rom as it is - rooted with towelroot, KNOX still intact).
However, after searching/reading through this forum, I was unable to find a list of all the apps that can be safely (no reboots, FCs, other issues) deleted or uninstalled (using Titanium Backup). Please share your experience, suggestions, I will try to keep the list updated!

Great list, thanks a lot! Just rooted my TabPro 8.4 just to remove all the bloat ware. Its plain out ridiculous that Samsung puts so much crap on their devices.
Apologize for the thread drift, but why does not tripping the knox/staying stock matter to you folks?
After already having gone through the process of rooting, it's hardly any additional effort to install CM 11, for example, and that takes care of most of this garbage for you.
Because I like to keep my warranty for a while. I was denied warranty on my S4 because of Knox.
Hi. Just got my tab pro 8.4 and while I don't plan to root just yet I would like to disable a bunch of this crap that keeps trying to update and turns on with the Tablet. Was just wondering if you could put a brief explanation next to some of those so I know whether or not it's one I don't plan to use. Thanks. Things like the ant stuff, sidesync, smart card, and Samsung ones. What about ones not listed here like the flipboard and magazine widgets and such. Also, some things have the turn off button grayed out, does that mean I can't disable it until I root? Thx
Hi, I just ordered A10.1 (2019).
I was wondering if I can ADB and delete those listed bloatware?
Also, does this model still get updates for its system?
If yes, until when does it get updaets?
Can you receive updates when bootloader is unlocked or when it's rooted?
Thanks
Didn't notice this is such an old thread.. now I wonder if the list of bloatware is outdated!?

[Downloads] Apps missing from S3 & Galaxy Store

Samsung seem to be so unbelievably disorganised when it comes to making software available to the correct devices on the Galaxy App store - things are 'hidden' to certain devices like the Tab S2 & S3. Here are a few that I have downloaded from Galaxy Apps via my S7 and then copied over to the S3:
1. S-Note v5.2: Apkmirror.
Far better than 'Samsung Notes' which comes preloaded. For example just compare the resolution of drawing/writing with the S-pen.
2. S-Note extension pack (Download attachment below).
Adds features to S-Note such as extended toolbar, shape recognition, sketch recording etc.
3. S-Note widget (Download attachment below)
Note widget for your home screen.
4. S-Note templates (Download attachment below)
Templates for S-Note. May be useful to someone.
5. Game Tuner (Download attachment below).
Change the resolution/fps of games. Handy as the S3 seems to default to a lower resolution.
6. Samsung Internet Beta. Apkmirror
Preview the latest release of the Samsung browser.
These are just a few examples. There are lots of apps that for some reason Samsung thinks we shouldn't be able to install on the S3. Crazy, because apps like 'Photo Note' which specifically mention editing with the S-Pen are not available to the S3 but are to the S7 phone which doesn't have an S-Pen.
Please post any others you think we are missing!
Great list. Especially Game Tuner. I cannot for the life of me understand why a high end tablet would default to 75% resolution on mobile games. It took me a while to figure out that I had to manually get a previous version of Game Tuner to fix it as the current version doesn't seem to work.

I don't believe they are lazy, not them.
Rather, I believe they do not like The Great North.
After successfully installing the Note 5.2 apk you provided, I couldn't install the widget from within the app.
I suspect Mr. Rogers And Mrs. Bell are behind this travesty

Wearable widgets app working on Galaxy?

While I am waiting for my Galaxy, has anybody tried the older Wearable Widgets app for S3 on the Galaxy, and its phone companion app? Not sure why Samsung refused further store entries and hence development of this at first sight genius concept...bluetooth streaming regular Android widgets to the app face. Would open a huge number of widgets for apps not yet (or never) supported. http://wearablewidgets.com/gear/
Good news from a German forum, WearableWidgets running if fresh installation, not taken over from a S3 install. Letting you see for example the status of your smartphone battery.
