Boot Animations? - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

Anyone know where or post some good boot animations?
It'd be helpful if someone could rip the stock nexus boot animation too.
Thanks!

I know ROM toolbox in the play store has some boot animations in it.

To "rip" the current boot animation...
Adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip
Use Adb push to the same folder and file name and new animation will work. Well, it did on my galaxy nexus anyway. Have yet to replace it on my nexus 4.

Seconded, also, does anyone know of any good splash screen replacements?

I've always loved these for boot animations. You'll need to convert them yourself...

These guys over at WJD have all the actual console startup animations as boot animations if that's what you're looking for. Although if you're looking for an animation in the style of the PS3 boot then that's a different story.

Oh yes good times with my dreamcast. Taking the EMU with me everywhere.
Memories of simpler times spend playing Marvel Vs Capcom.
I would have loved using the PS3 boot animation but none of those work with CWM3.
Bummer.

Yep! I downloaded a bunch of boot animations that didn't work in CWM 3.0.2.5 and I was really bummed. Then I found the Amend2Edify script on here and BOOYEAH! I'm flashing new boot anims every week!
Sorry, I get a bit excited about this stuff
Edit: I've attached an updated version of Amend2Edify. Happy booting!

Boxing Boot Animation!!

I made a Boxing Boot Animation, feel free to leave feedback. Its not clockworkmod flashable at the mkment. You can do it using root explorer, put it in the file where your bootanimation.zip is at. Rename your current boot animation to oldbootanimation.zip to save as a backup. I will be releasing a new version shortly! With new effects

That's an ok start. I would much rather like to see a transition effect of sorts from picture to picture. Ideally the animation would be a video clip of sorts, but that's what I like, not what you intended to make.
Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Easy way to get boot animations for all android phones (I think)

If you have a kernel that supports custom boot animations, then go download romtoolbox and go to the custom boot animations, find one you want, and install it. It works perfect for me.

You have to have a compatible kernel which I believe juggs doesn't have (just flash a different one) and click download then install. I'm not sure how to take it back to stock

Not Bad
It took a little googling and a bit of trial and error to find a ROM Toolbox that worked but ROM Toolbox.apk is a great program works for the boot animations as well as several other tweaks. I couldn't however, find a program called romtoolbox.
Can you use toolbox for custom ones, I download a zip and put it into the file location that toolbox uses and also in my download folder but does not show up ugh.
Also Im running ICS there is no file in system/media called boot anything but yes I was able to change the annim. using one of the stock files that tool box offers. So im lost I files are somewhere, but not at that location.

Believe it or not I flashed it via zip file. With slim beans ROM go to settings, scroll down to advanced and look for misc settings and at the bottom u will see select zip file for boot animation. It takes care of the rest for you.
Or u can find the post I'm sorry I would but I'm at work.

[BOOTANIMATION] KitKat Easter Egg Bootanimation

KitKat Easter Egg BootAnimation By AbhishekS
Download Here
http://d-h.st/E7L
(couldn't attach to XDA as the limit for a zip on XDA is around 11mb)
So guys I was bored and decided to make a KitKat Easter Egg Bootanimation for my phone so that I can flaunt KitKat in front of my friends while booting the device too.
I pretty much liked the outcome so thought of sharing it with all of you.
The size of the zip is big for a bootanimation (32mb) because all the images used are of full 1280x720 resolution.
Installation:
To install, simply copy the zip file to system/media and give the permissions as rw-r-r (ie 644)
Download Here
http://d-h.st/E7L
(couldn't attach to XDA as the limit for a zip on XDA is around 11mb)
The video doesn't look too good as it's just for 5 seconds. But believe me it looks fantastic as the bootanimation on the phone because I have looped it.
loved it! Thanks
Very nice, thanks for sharing - when I accidentally came across the Easter Egg (trying to remember which of the rows to hit, to activate the developer options ) I thought about creating a bootanimation, so you saved me the effort!

I'm not at home right now. Will create one when I reach home.
But you can download the currently uploaded zip too. Just copy it to system/media and change permissions to rw-r-r (644).
If you don't know how to change permissions then after pasting simply boot to recovery and tap on 'Fix Permissions'.
