cant downgrade my gio

Hi,
I have a GT-S5660M.
Currently I have a firmware GT-S5660L, and android 2.3.6
Is impossible to downgrade, are strange, because I download for example a russian firmware with 2.3.4 or 2.2.x
And when I apply this with Odin, and restart and see in About phone... I still continue see 2.3.6
Why???
Few days ago, I connect my gio to my pc with Kies, and Kies update my gio to this 2.3.6...
Somebody can help me please.
I need root my gio too

Are strange...

Rooted
Now... How I can solve the problem of firmware downgrade/upgrade
Sent from my GT-S5660L using xda app-developers app
With a properly rooted device Odin is the best way to go. Kies is not the greatest way to update when you are coming from a non-stock ROM and i don't know if Kies will even downgrade..
very easy!!
you must apply rom 4 files with Odin,2.2.x or 2.3.x
This rom must have 4 files, this is very important!!

[Q] Official ROM on CWM ?

Hi all,
First of all sorry for my english laborious.
I would like to know if it was possible to have a ROM that can be flashed in CWN but it is not changed.
In fact the official ROM to flash in recovery and not with Flashtool.
Thank you in advance
Yes, its possible.
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
The only problem is the vendor folder. CWM packages aren't able to affect it for some reason except vendor/etc

Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
Find a temporary CWM and also Download a CM from the ace 2 dev thread onto a micro SD card, then enter recovery (power button+home button+volume up) and flash the CWM first, then wipe cache and dalvik and flash CM

And what is the best bugless custom/stock rom for our phone?
I want no hassle and everything working, but I had some issues with kyrillos before. But this was with the preleaked versions. I see that Cyanogen has some bugs and I want to wait for a bugless version.
Thanks
I'm using stock XEO firmware (because of stability) while waiting for Sakura CyanogenMod. Try it.
I don't believe there is a truly bug-less custom ROM around for ace 2 yet, maybe try a lite ROM or the Italian job, they seem fast and they don't have many bugs at all usually
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
Use roms based on stock if you want to be bugfree... (Kyrillos, italian job, v-rom, blue job, lite rom, minimal by judas77...)

Thanks Rox, but are these CUstom Roms more reliable than stock? If so, I will try Kyrillos.
Yeah. For sure they are. A lot of improvements, debloated, deodexed, zipaligned...

This all seems complicated I just want to be able to put icephone on my phone I got cwm
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
If you want to use that theme you have to download cyanogenmod 10 by dh.harald and install it with cmw then you can doenload the theme and you can apply it inside settings at Designs
Cwm backup I got that where do I get cm10 from ive searched but im using 4.1.2 and cant seem to find it

I do not understand you ,, all apps work fine and everything work fine
Only ,, No Service Network
Were you using android 2.3.6 (gingerbread or GB) before you put on the custom ROMs, or did you have 4.1.2 (jelly bean or JB), it would help to know
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
Before this rom , I use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971243
and everything work fine
So you changed from a custom GB rom to a Custom JB rom maybe you should try to flash an official JB rom for exemple MG2!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
How do this ??????
Search around for it, there will be a guide somewhere on this forum. And if you don't know how to do that, I recommend you don't even bother, you need to know what you are doing before you do this sort of thing. Do some research
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
did u mean this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340849
??
Yeah, follow it, flash mg2, then get the custom rom
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
Did you mean
Download Rom mg2 and flash work
And then again the work of flash ROM is this??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971243
???????????????????
No, download mg2 and use a guide to flash it via odin on the pc, dont flash it like you would with a ROM
is this worked?
