are there any good slim cases which can accomodate full screen protectors (like the curved crystal or the wet apply sorts), meaning the lip does not go onto the screen. i recently received the zoogue case but to my dismay the lip goes onto the screen and pushed my protector off. so far i only know of the sgp modello which doesnt push the protector up. any other good alternatives?

Seidio Surface also doesn't get with full screen savers.
Now I use TPU case from ebay for 2 bucks, it aligns screen perfectly without going under screen protector.
Also waiting for diztronic tpu which ordered yesterday.

Seidio active does go over the lip, but its not tight at all and doesn't mess with the full protectors.
Ringke slim is another good one.
To the guy above me: the seidio surface, as well as diztronic do not work with full protecotors.. I have all these cases and have tried them with spg curved crystal

I've kept my phone naked since I got it, but I feel the need for a screen protector and a case. I'm looking for a case that will protect my device good, and a screen protector that is not built into the device but protects the screen well. I'm not wanting the Zagg invisible shield because of its orange-peel like texture, and I don't want an OtterBox due to its price. Any opinions on what I should get?

I've been running with the black Seidio Surface Case with holster belt clip and the Steinheil Crystal Clear screen protector since day one. It's good protection without much bulk. I got them both from Amazon.
Check out Incipio Feather on ebay, very minimal size and comes with a screen protector.

what are people using for heavy duty protection my job is pretty rugged outside in the elements a lot right now i m using the seidio convert case and its nice but its dosent have a built in screen protector it comes with a stick on one but i ve never had good luck with them i had an otterbox defender with my evo 4g and it was great i alsohad great customer service with otterbox i think i m gonna get another defender series otterbox i m just curious if there are any other hard core protective cases i should look into
What are some good extended battery cases? I'm in the market for a new extended battery and a case to go with it. Please do not say Trexcell, I received a bad battery from them and emailed them numerous times w/o a response.
i like the trident aegis case. I come with covers over the headphone jack and usb port and dust covers over the mic and speakers. Best part on $19.99 on ebay with free shipping and it comes with a screen protector.

Steinheil is definitely my favorite screen protector. Used on my old SGS1. Prefer matted because it eliminates sun glare/ oil, and rainbow effects. Here is the manufacturer's site.

I've searched around the forum, and the consensus is that screen protectors that cover the entire front of the phone (e.g. realook 3d forming and spigen curved crystal) will eventually just start getting pushed up at the edges by the tight tpu case. However, looking at my cheapo ebay case, the edges of the case only just barely cover the chrome edges of the phone, no more. I'm wondering if anyone has experience trying out a full coverage screen protector along with a tpu case. Is it feasible? Here's a link to the case I'm using:

I've tried a few full screen protectors with my diztronics tpu case and they all bubbled up at the edges. I finally went with the dba just like glass protector because I hated the edges being raised and it works perfect with the case. It's also very clear and smooth. I would recommend it over everything I've tried so far (cheap protector that came with the case, skinomi tech skin and zagg invisible shield). You won't regret it, great protector.

I believe all full screen protectors will cause issues with slim tpu cases because they dont overlap the protector. My xtremeguard lifts with my zoogue case.. but not with my uag nor seidio surface or any other bigger case

well I guess that settles it. Now I just need to find one that's compatible with tpu cases and has some decent coverage over the edges of the screen (but not just the screen itself). I had a realook crystal on my old mytouch 4g, and that one covered almost the entire face of the phone. I would just get another realook crystal clear, but the one for the s3 just only barely covers the screen and almost none of the rest of the face of the phone. It looks cheesy. Thinking about trying spigen crystal. The nano seems to dent/scratch too easily. I just want a protector that would work well with a tpu case and provide more coverage (not entire face of course) than just the lcd screen alone. Something with ~2mm gaps on the sides would probably accommodate a tpu case. No? It's just too difficult to tell how much space each protector leaves around the edges of the screen.
That also reminds me, do the sgp ultra crystal (latest revision) and sgp ultra nano both cover the same amount of surface on the s3? I understand that the nano is thinner. So perhaps it covers more of the face of the phone. Please reply if you know.
I was going to post a similar thread. I didn't have an issue with a Zagg shield + TPU case on my DINC2 but the one I bought off eBay (where I bought my other ones) has been causing bubbles. This bums me out because I feel that the phone is incredibly slippery without a case.

So it looks like if I buy the realook 3d forming for me and the spigen ultra crystal for him, then I'll have compatibility for both phones/cases. For anyone curious, here's what I've gleaned from posts on this forum so far.
Spigen Ultra Crystal, ultra nano, and Realook crystal clear will work with any tpu case because the protector just covers the screen, not the most outer edges.
Realook 3d forming will probably only work with tight tpu cases that barely cover the edges of the phone. Although this protector is supposed to have edge-to-edge coverage, others have stated that the protector stops 1-2mm short of the very edges of the phone. So it should work with some tpu cases.

Correct. I have tried few cases and few screen protectors.
Screen protectors including Spigen Nano clear, Realook 3D and Glasszone Tempered Glass.
Cases: few cheap HK 2 bucks cases, Seidio Surface, Diztronic TPU and Samsung Protective Cover+.
The best combination for me is Samsung Protective Cover+ and Realook 3D curved screen protector. This combination gives me a solid look and moderate protection. It is best combo for going with formal wear and showing some content for my clients from the phone. It is barely noticable that my phone has case and SP

Well, I should have taken everyone's advice here. I tried to get the realook 3d forming full screen protector to work with my cheapo ebay case, and of course, it pushes up the corners. So sad because I really like the screen protector's coverage. What kinds of cases work with the full screen protectors? (obviously not tpu ones as I've tried both diztronic and mercury without success). If there was just 1 mm less coverage on the full screen protectors, you could use a regular tpu case. My other galaxy s3 has the spy ultra crystal which is also nice, but just barely covers the lcd screen leaving 3-4 mm around the bezel to get scratched. I suppose a result screen protector is my only option if I want to use a tup case as well? please report!

Try my suggested tpu case above or get samsung protective cover+.
No problems so far. Using this for two months. No more frustration. Full coverage screen and full coverage bezel protection.
EDIT: I also suggest original samsung TPU cases as they fit perfectly with full screen protectors.

I had the Zagg full body protector on my Motorola Atrix and it was ok considering they would send me a new one every time the old one peeled off, but there was always lint collecting under the edges causing it to come off after a few weeks.
I came across this Spigen SGP clear case + screen protector on Amazon. I don't want a cheap looking loosely fitted case that doesn't snugly fit. Anyone have any experience with these on other phones or have any other suggestions?

I also want protection but something that still shows off the phone itself.
I have gone for a clear case - the poetic atmosphere.
In figured that if the phone drops, it will dent with the body protector whereas the case will be a little bit better.
I have not received my case yet, wouldn't mind if someone out there has had any experience with poetic vs spigen (forgotten the spelling, sorry) ?

Spigen ultra fit and the screen protector that came with it
The case is too tight and scratch the left top corner. My advice is to keep the case on and never take it off. Or use a soft case like a tpu.

Case took only a few days to get used to and it's worth it. Helps when the materials are soft touch as on the Fusion Hybrid.
The screen protector is nice having the piece of mind but the plastic ones can never be as smooth as glass.

I use this shellster case for my N5 and for still I have not used any screen protector on my N5 as it protects my phone completely it does not let the screen to touch surface even when I put it on the table even from the screen behalf...it has a 180 stand view that also makes me comfortable for media viewing in both mode in landscape and portrate and it also ensures the safety of my phone quite well too..so I like this case and would recommend too...the only thing I just need to update in it is to have some protection in the lower end as it is open from their...but that hardly effects as it covers the corners properly...so simply I have a case with a combo of Holster and Kick stand....So I just love it and quite happy with it.....
I was using an extreme guard screen protector...but it was coming up at the corners and looked pretty aesthetically displeasing so I took it off a few days ago.. the bare glass is so nice and smooth to the touch... I think I will let the Gglass do it's job until I have to run into my old nemesis quartz sand when I go to Florida this spring break

First we don't need a screen protector, the screen is hard enough to protect from friction.
Second you'll waste the original back of N5, course the touch feeling of any other case cannot be better than the skin like material.

Actually, the screen can very easily scratch, all it takes is a bit of sand or dust in your pocket. Glass is harder than steel, so keys are not a concern, but most sand is silicon, which is the same hardness as glass, and some sand or dust can even be corundum or diamond, and there is just no way to stop that from scratching any surface.

I might change the screen protector to a glass protector.

I honestly don't know how anybody can stand using the zagg, feels like you're running your finger across rubber to me. I have a spigen glaS TR, works great with the slim armor case. The others that would maybe work for you would be the trident aegis and the seidio active.

yeah, i love how it feels. lol. been using it also on my old device.
for the op, i been using the ultra-hybrid btw. really nice and not bulky feel.
I swear by my Diztronic TPU cases, been using them since I shattered my One S screen.
One of the main reasons is the amount of edge lip around the screen to protect it.
Having a lip on the case doesn't really stop the glass from shattering in any way. It's more to protect from scratching the screen when placed face down.
For drop protection, you need a cushion or buffer zone where some of the impact can be absorbed by the case and not the phone itself.
I hope going back to the Spigen case will save me now, same thing happened to me when I changed to a cover case which conveniently when I dropped my phone the cover opened up leaving my phone unprotected to fall on it's own screen and completely shattering, guess I should have stuck with the Spigen ultra hybrid.
