Nexus Bootanimation - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

Hey guys.
I am searching for a boot animation that simply says "nexus"
I want it the way like it is on the back of our phones. Do you have something similar?
Thank you very much!

I can make this for you if you want. Do you want it to be colored or anything?

Sure make a colored one!

Nexus grey logo
Here is two versions of the plain nexus logo on a grey background. One is with a 4 at the end and the other has just nexus. Remember to rename to bootanimation and change the permissions to rw-r--r- 644 and place it in your data/local folder Let me know what you think!

Nexus 4 boot animation
Hi
I am the nexus 4 grey boot animation and it is very nice. I have some suggestion regarding the same.
The nexus 4 bootanimation would be better if the background is black and NEXUS in white. It would be very similar, almost similar to "google" boot logo

Oh.. Wow. Talk about thread necro-ing, I've had my N4 for about 1/2 year now and I've just recently been interested in making boot animations. As I was wondering where to share it, I found ur old thread...
Anyway, I think I've made just what ure looking for.... or were looking for (I hope u still have ur N4). But I'm currently stuck at how to make it smaller, its around 3Mb now, and while I know an N4 device can handle it, I would still like to know how to make it smaller without ruining the image quality (If any of u guys would like to give it a try, just PM me n I'll give u the full PNG files)

I use this boot animation. Amazing work...

Awesome, thank you bro

You shouldn't have to set permissions. Did you delete or move the stock one?
To me it looks a bit lame .. just a glowing nexus logo. The ics one looked good with all the tiles.
. anyone found cool galaxy animations?

yeah, its nothing fancy thats for sure!
It just needs to be resized so it takes up more of the screen.
Make it bigger and it'll look different, probably better.

I might just skip this one after all. But to answer your question, there is no other bootanimation.zip in /system/media... only a bunch of .qmg files. When searching for "bootanimation" on the phone, the only thing that comes back is a non-zip file in /system/bin.
By "set permissions" I meant that I just made it rw-r--r-- like everything else in /system/media.
Doesn't everyone on stock ROM have 3 different transitions on boot - Galaxy S III logo, Samsung animation, then AT&T animation?
Does this work for the S3 from tmobile?..

If you are on the stock rom, it will not work afaik because of the way Samsung does things. Since this is my first Samsung device so I'm no expert lol.

Looks great by the way! :good:
Just flashed the zip one... Amazing.. Really smooth
wow ,amazing
It's great! But, it's kinda blurry and doesn't completely fill the screen up. Can someone contact the author and ask him if he could update it for our phone?

Just open up the CM10.1 .zip, navigate to System>Media>bootanimation.zip and just pull the bootanimation.zip. Yes, if you reflash a ROM it'll reset the boot animation.

I've already sent him a message. He's working on it but it might take a couple of weeks since his motherboard is wrecked and it's gonna take some time for him to get it repaired. HD version for our phone is on the way rest assured!

I tired to fix it myself but it didn't work. It just blanks at boot.
I resized all images from 720x1280 to 768x1280 and change the text string '720 1280 ' to '768 1280' in desc.txt, but it didn't work
Can anybody guide on how to make it work? I thought just changing the resolution of the images would work. I let the fps be the same.

Just use the non flushable one with ROM toolbox or replacing the main animation using any root explorer. That should work great.
I don't have a HTC One so Don't wanna take the risk over any others device(for flushable one).

I simply went into recovery and flashed the boot animation from this page: [DOWNLOAD] S4 Google Edition Camera, Boot Animation, and Live Wallpaper
It's easier if you don't want to have to copy files around and if you don't care about backing up the stock boot animation.
Anyway, why'd they go with the old Nexus boot animation for this thing... It's got such a beautiful screen and the boot animation uses like 5% of it. They should have came up with something nice, like the new Moto X boot animation.
Edit: My bad, that's what happens when you don't read... I just saw the "Manual Install" instructions, didn't see that you posted the flashable zip.
Does this also work for the 1st gen Nexus 7?

Can you make the FULL animation? In the original GE phones, the google logo like fades out, and the colors come from each side of the screen and collide into the boot animation you created now. Why did you cut that extra stuff out? Is there anyway to implement the full animation back?

[BOOTANIMATION] KitKat Easter Egg Bootanimation

KitKat Easter Egg BootAnimation By AbhishekS
Download Here
http://d-h.st/E7L
(couldn't attach to XDA as the limit for a zip on XDA is around 11mb)
So guys I was bored and decided to make a KitKat Easter Egg Bootanimation for my phone so that I can flaunt KitKat in front of my friends while booting the device too.
I pretty much liked the outcome so thought of sharing it with all of you.
The size of the zip is big for a bootanimation (32mb) because all the images used are of full 1280x720 resolution.
Installation:
To install, simply copy the zip file to system/media and give the permissions as rw-r-r (ie 644)
Download Here
http://d-h.st/E7L
(couldn't attach to XDA as the limit for a zip on XDA is around 11mb)
The video doesn't look too good as it's just for 5 seconds. But believe me it looks fantastic as the bootanimation on the phone because I have looped it.
loved it! Thanks
Very nice, thanks for sharing - when I accidentally came across the Easter Egg (trying to remember which of the rows to hit, to activate the developer options ) I thought about creating a bootanimation, so you saved me the effort!

I'm not at home right now. Will create one when I reach home.
But you can download the currently uploaded zip too. Just copy it to system/media and change permissions to rw-r-r (644).
If you don't know how to change permissions then after pasting simply boot to recovery and tap on 'Fix Permissions'.

What do you think about the changing of the animation like this. At the moment the fading in has reached its maximum point you should start fading out back to the start position and you have a fading in / fading out animation that loops. Will surely look better
