[Q] Bricked Kernel Stuck

Hello guys, I'v tried to install Bricked kernel core but stuck on the HTC logo -(( any other cores goes well.... Pls help me to solve this problem
My actions:
1)fastboot flash boot
2)Install .zip from recovery.
adb name check (adb shell uname -a) shows "Name not found" -((
OS 4.04 Stock FW v 2.17 Sence 4.1

On wich rom and wich bricked kernel, there are 2 bricked kernels. One for sense roms and one for aokp/aosp roms

And also did you repack bricked boot.img with the one of your ROM?

I have stock rom 2.17, I'm trying to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1643692
And also I dont know how to repack (

Okay guys, I'v re-packed kernel form stock kernel but still it doesnt work..... but now its rebooting at logo screen all the time (( pls help

yes, I'v used stock kernel (due to I'm using stock ROM) but no effect

Just a thought here, download the latest faux kernel and flash the boot.img and flash the .zip
See if the phone boots......

Faux kernel goes well, I'v wrote about it earlier...

Don't see where mate ... otherwise i would have not asked, i only see you used stock kernel
Edit 1 : ah you talk about cores......my eyes only check for the word : kernel
Edit 2 : I've seen reports of not booting in the thread a while ago, you can try to get your hands on the 0.6 or 0.5 and try again

oh, really =)) Sorry mate mb I need custom ROM or it supposed to go well on Stock ROMs?

I edited my post ! Well it should work on a stock rom otherwise the other custom kernels would also fail, they are all based on the stock kernel from one point .....

[Q] rom+kernel question!!!

hello,i have a question.
in the moment i have hboot 1.36 and the arhd18.1 rom on my onex.
now i want to try the rom from the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943797
but i don´t know if i can get the rom-included kernel with my hboot-version.
can someone tell me,if this is the right kernel for my hboot or if i have to get another kernel and where can i get the right kernel???

i tried it with the included kernel and it doesn´t work.
i also tried a few more kernels here from the board,but on every kernel i tried i come into a bootloop.
does anyone know,if it is possible to get a jelly-bean kernel for my hboot1.36 ???

[Q] Team Venom's [B][U] viperX 2.6.0[/U][/B] Download Link?

Hey guys, can anyone do me a favour and provide me a working link to Team Venom's viperX 2.6.0 rom?
Please I really need this rom, I know its old but my phone is a develops edition and doesn't allow me to flash jb roms. So guys can you help me? I have been seaching everywhere for a valid link but they all seem to not work.

I can tell you now it came factory S-OFF and if I update to jelly bean I will be stuck in a bootloop no matter what way I try, rom, ota, nand back up nothing works im simply stuck in ics. Thats why I want the link for the Viperx 2.6.0 rom

Thank you so much sir, I just flashed this rom but I am stuck on the "htc quietly brilliant" screen :/ can you help me? do I have to flash the kernel? I got S-OFF so I don't think I have to and if I do I don't have the viper kernel

The kernel/boot.img is in the rom zip and yes you have to flash it. Not usually with soff but there are very few s-off devices so the Rom's usually don't include the script to flash the boot.img. Do it manually fastboot flash boot boot.img

Thanks man, I got the rom working, but I cant get any service because airplane mode is stuck on "turning off" and Wi-Fi tells me "error" when I try to enable it :/ blutooth is also not working

I'm not on my computer do I can't check what you get with that download. Sounds like you need to flash modules. Till the great Mr Hofs comes back you can try another sense kernel like xm or Alex. Just do a search and flash the boot.img from the kernel you download and then flash the whole kernel.zip in recovery.

Hmm it's the latest unofficial ics viper. But what nogot says is right. The modules are in the rom so they are installed with the rom install. Sure you did a clean full wipe .....wiped dalvik cache too ?

Thank you guys, you are surely amazing people for taking your precious time and helping me! I solved the problem it turned out that I accidently selected that I have a custom kernel but I have a stock kernel. After reinstalling the rom choosing the stock kernel option, everything works flawlessly, right now I'm restoring all my apps from my nand back up. If anyone can help me update to jelly bean, I would truly appreciate that as ICS is getting really outdated but if there is really nothing that I can do then I am happy with viperx 2.8.0

don`t update yet u can still use faux/francos kernels once u update to JB u can`t live the moment while u can :crying:

i will put it like this you will get the best battery/performance with your device with these kernels i recommend faux`s one you`re device will be super fast and have super battery as well

Help Needed desperately

i have an hox which cannot be upgraded but all i can do is use the ics version ..sadly i been searching for HTC SKYDRAGON ICS V 4.0.0.zip and it seems to not exist to download anymore ...if anyone had this can u please upload the link so that i can download ..thanks in advance

cannot be updated because my phone version and my cid no are two different things and i am stuck because of that ...and there is no other phone that has same problem and had a nanandroid backup

[Q] Wake up/Sweep2wake VIPERX

Hi fellas,this is my first post here,im using viper x 4.06 on my hox,and i eneabled the function to wake up with volume button,but this works sometimes and sometimes not!, after a long sleepy time,doesnt work,you know why? is there a way to have the sweep2wake on sense? or something similiar ? i dont wanna use an app for this,but if it neccesary..Also y tried some aosp roms to have the Sweep2wake function but linaro rom and domination heated too much my phone,maybe there is a aosp rom you can recomend me! Thanks for everything and sorry for my poor english!

If you don't know what a kernel is you need more then a link mate, check in the android dev section and check for the Alex V thread. It's not that hard.

Yes it does work on ViperX - if you can install that you can install AlexV

if you have the kernel.zip ? flash the desired boot.img from the zip and install the .zip file via the recovery.

I ve done that,but meybe you can help me with something else..i already have s2w on my hox,i flashed the boot.img with alex V kernel,but i dunno how to activate dt2w,i flashed the correct boot.img,but dt2w is not by default...
