Any suggestions on a minimalistic case? - Galaxy S III Accessories

I have a Zagg invisible shield and I'm looking for a case that won't make the edges peel up. I'm not looking for too much protection just some extra grip.

Zoogue has some good ones. Just solid color tpu cases. The grey looks really good on many white S3. Best of all they are only $3 or $4.

New original samsung protective cover. I bought yesterday and it perfectly fits my realook whole screen SP. I'll post picture later. Plus this is extra slim and solid. Feels like without the case.

I have a Ringke Galaxy S3 SLIM Lite and it is nice. Don't use it as my daily case but is a nice thin case.

any pics? whats your mini review pro & cons of this one.. i just ordered it yesterday and want to know what i got myself into lol, im sure the OP wouldnt mind.

Diztronix is excellent fit, slim and covers all the sides. Most of the thin ones leave top and bottom uncovered. I have matte black one on black phone, and it looks like no case at all from front. (Front is shiny.)

Can also get them on Amazon and other places too.

I have this case, use is as my daily. SUUUUPER thin, would like a little more bump out for screen protection (it does have some, just not a lot). Have no complaints at all.
heres a review of it online
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyQx6kWF7bA

I've used this Black Nillkin from day one.
- very low profile, Business/Executive look to it especially on my Blue S3
- really really nice premium hard rigid rubber feel (rigid like plastic but TPU feel)
- snaps on and off easily
- very tight and perfect fit especially nice rear cutouts
- cross hatch backside shows no finger prints or grease
- S3 is easier to hold but slips in and out of pocket easily as well
- top side lips are lo pro and hug nicely
- under $10 on ebay...search Nillkin S3
For what this case is supposed to do, I give it 10 out of 10.
It will never provide maximum protection and is not meant to do this.

Here and Realook.

SGP Ultra Silke is the best Silicon type case. Great texture, shock protection, and durability.
I bought the rubber jacket for my Vibrant from t-mobile. It's definately NOT the same material that most of there skins are made from. It's textured and does not get stuck in your pocket and get covered with lint like the smooth gel skin that is their norm.
I've dropped my phone (with no screen protector) a few times on various surfaces and the skin does it's job.
It's the same as this one, but in black (the blue shows off the texture):

Where are you buying those from? I have tried a few different types but am just not happy with them, either badly made or just plain don't care for them. Thanks!

3rd+4th row.
i bought a tpu case from ebay and its by far the best case i had. it keeps the phone nice and slim while holding the phone tight in place. the material is a little tougher than the silicone and imo feels better. as for screen protector i've gone from zagg invisible shield to cheap ones online to the ones at the retail stores and none of them are as good as realook. realook is so easy to put on and is basically air bubble proof(for me at least). it has a glass feel as if u hadnt put one on unlike the invisible shield, after awhile the invisible shield gets super rubbery and feels like crap. thats my 2ยข
I have a case that I bought from daydeal.com, its a hybrid case made from hard plastic on the back and soft tpu on the sides, it pretty good.

Looking for a Case recommendation

I know there are a lot of threads already about cases for my Samsung G II (Epic 4G Touch)
Heres the thing. I don't want a huge case. Why get a sleek thin phone just to put a bulky case on it?
What are some suggestions for a minimalist case that is better than just putting a sticker on it?
There are a few choices that I have found...
Hard Snap on Case - very thin but doesn't protect from drops very well
soft thin case very thin but I would imagine it would be hard to get in and out of a pocket from it "sticking" to your pants.
Trident Aegis case not as thin as the others, but definitely not bulky. Very good protection, no kickstand however.
Casemate Pop White case with kickstand pretty much like the aegis with a kickstand. I have one but I am not impressed with the build quality of the silicone. It flakes off in places due to the friction of pulling it out of a pocket.
For the "sticker" route the best I've found is:
Full Body Invisible Shield This will protect from scratches but not drops, etc.
Got one of these a few months ago and couldn't be happier.

Incipio feather light has treated me well. Very sleek and light.
This is the case i have had since the phone came out. Love the case! Sleek, slim and protects your phone. There is a whole thread about this case. Price is great too. I highly recommend it!!
Hope that helped. Happy Hunting.

I would personally have to say the Trident Ageis, very close to the otterbox line but available in more colors...plus they are a tad cheaper as well...
doesn't really get more minimal than this. I have one on all 3 of my phones. comes in different colors.

I disagree. The matte version of Diztronic's (formerly TPU Cases) case does not stick at all. There is just enough of a texture to feel like you have a solid grip, but smooth enough that it never sticks in your pocket.
I have the same requirements in a case as the OP, and I think a TPU case is a great idea. It has protected my phone from a handful of short falls onto a variety of surfaces without an issue.
I purchased the case after reading this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1266308
I believe the overwhelming majority of reviews are positive for the case. Check out the Diztronic's page here: http://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36&products_id=147
I am curious about the Nillkin case, but considering they seem to be only available when ordering from China, and that in the past, I've had snap-on cases scratch phones, I am worried. Here is a review of a Nillkin case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485054
Buy a few different ones and figure out what you like best. I tried a few different styles of tpu/rubber case and ended up with a trident aegis. My phones in the past all had minimal rubber case or none but it just feels right on this phone.

Otterbox Commuter vs. Spigen SPG Neo Hybrid Lumi...?

Hi there fellows,
After reading a lot about S3's broken screens, I have decided to buy a case for my S3. I am confused between Otterbox commuter and SGP neo hybrid lumi.
I want the case to be shock absorbent and protect my phone from accidental drops as much as possible. I am ok with aesthetics of both (neo does look better though). I have seen pix of commuter and got the feeling that its boundary is too thick at the top and bottom to attend a call or press the home button properly. Is that so?
While SGP's boundary doesn't seem that thick, it doesn't seem to offer the solid protection of commuter overall.
So kindly guide me that does SGP offer same level of protection as offered by Commuter or not?
Thanks.
They are two different types of cases. The Commuter has a hard shell and is bulkier. The Spigen is very thin. Not paper thin, but it's minimal. A lot of people prefer that.
I hate how the Commuter covers all the ports. I prefer the Neo Hybrid by far.
It depends what you're looking for. If you want great protection, the commuter. If you want style with minimal protection then the neo hybrid. I've owned both n I liked them both

Check out the Ballistic SG and Ballistic LS ,The SG has great protection, but i really like the looks of the new LS, it is made to be slim with corner protection, but I just haven't seen any reviews yet for it on the S3.

THe Sg looks pretty good
theres a ton of copy cases on ebay too, but i dunno how those are.
Body Glove Dropsuit looks pretty good too http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-Rugged-Samsung-9284901/dp/B008J2V3KW/ref=pd_cp_cps_0
Im also thinking about buying a new case with a little more protection. I just got a cheap silicone case and feel that won't be enough.. My screen already cracked in the bottom corner from sliding out my pocket the 2nd day I had it (when i already had that cheap case on order).
ok thanks guys. Looks like commuter is better for protection.
One more thing. How does the screen protector that comes with commuter perform against sgp ultra nano clear/optics?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
The Ultra Nano in my experience is better than the otter box one but the otter box screen protector isn't so bad

I've got the Trident Ageis (black) case for my S3. IMHO Trident makes a case equal in quality and function to Otterbox but for nearly half the price. I grabbed mine off the big book site for $17. I especially like how the silicone sticks out a bit on the back so it doesn't slide off of smooth surfaces as easy.

yeah that one, the neo hybrid is good because it is tpu and hard case in one, which offers better protection. And is relatively slim. I would not recommend ultra thin or ultra fit cases from spigen or ringke. I used these cases and they scratched the hell out of my phone.
If I could start from scratch, I would get a neo hybrid
wonder what matches better with black N5, the slate or silver
Spigen Slim Armor
Awesome Case! The issues for the power button have been resolved, they sent two rubber case interiors.

What type of protection/case are you looking for?
Minimal (slim/hardshells, just for scratch/light bump protection only, nudist approved)
Full body/thin (TPU cases generally, for bumps and light drops)
Full body/little more lovin (usually a combo of TPU/hard shell, can take a light fall, but it shows and let you know the risks)
Full body/full lovin (thick and soft ala otterbox, for the clumsy folk, takes a beating and asks for more).
I bought this one at Amazon. Decided to cut a hole in the front so when you open it, you can still take a picture. Works well, has magnetic on/off (which I didn't know the N5 had). Be warned, there is 1/16" plastic in the front cover that is very hard. Case with hole:

Neo hybrid is not slim. That thing makes the phone very wide. If you want slim with good protection either get the diztronic case or the cruzerlite case.

+1 for Diztronic. super slim and sleek. cheap and good quality. won't stop a bullet but it'll protect against scuffs
Any way to get warranty on this phone? Like some kind of accidental warranty

Using the Diztronic tpu case. Really slim and keeps the curve of the phone. The neo hybrid squares off the phone and makes it seem bigger.

TPU case without smooth sides?

I just got a Verizon G3 last week and love it so far, but I'm looking for a specific type of TPU case. I received my Diztronic case today, but it's way too slippery. I'd like a case like the ZooGue case I had on my S III, one with ribbed/ridged sides to prevent it from sliding out of my hand. Does anyone know of a good quality TPU case like this? Failing that, what are some TPU cases with good grip? I'd still like something have provides good protection, but I don't want it to add too much bulk.
I've seen the Cruzerlite Bugdroid posted, but it appears to be more of a gel/transparent case and it also has smooth sides. I also found the Spigen Ultra Fit that boasts an anti-slip feel, but I don't like the fact that the top and bottom are open.
Thanks!

The cruzerlite cases are made of the same material as the diztronics, its just slightly thinner. But as you said, it does appear to be smooth on the sides.
This case might be more what you're looking for. They are super thin, and have a textured side for grip. I have the smoke and clear and they feel great.

Thanks for your reply. I might end up going with the Bugdroid then. I had (several) S-Line cases on my Thunderbolt, they are garbage. They split and fell apart every few months, but they kept sending me replacements.
This is what I'm looking for, something with sides like this (but for the G3 and black):
