[Q] Bluetooth problem with all ICS ROMS

Hi,
I've problem with all ICS Roms for SE ARC. Bluetooth is working, find the bluetooth device but can't pair with it!!! It looks like trying to pair but nothing happened & no serial number for pairing appeared!! Ithappened with several bluetooth devices.
With 2.3.7 roms it works perfectly!
Any help?

Same here.
With some devices, pair regularly but with my car nothing to do!
Strange, really strange.
What kernel you use?

It happened specially with my car BT too !
I've used several ics kernels too (the official one, the doomkernel) nothing works!

Is strange 'cos my headset bike go perfectly

Im using Arconium ICS V4 and can pair with anything, my cars gps, other phones of all brands, nt having an issue with this Rom at all. Using it as my everyday Rom and still loving it, cant wait for V5

I have the same, tried Doomkernel, ICS stock and various Rom's (stock, arconium) but all have the same. The pairing with my bluetooth headset works fine but when I try to pair with the car audio (random PIN) the PIN pop-up never shows. With another car with a fixed PIN it works flawless again.

Got the same problem, doesn't pair with my car bluetooth after installing ics arconium on my arc s. With 2.3 this worked flawless.

Hey all,
I found a solution for my car bluetooth.
I renamed my car to 1 word (Don't know if it necessary) and I changed my code to 0000. After that my phone connected without asking for a password.

Have Problems with CM9.0 for Arc. My Sony Ericsson MW600 connects but Audio still works over Phone Speakers.
But with Stock Sony ICS Beta Rom it works fine.

I've got the same problem, using a Blue&Me system from Alfa Romeo/Fiat.
It generates a random pin and the device is called "blue&me". Won't pair, doesn't even prompt me for a pin code.
Can't rename the car or specify a pincode there.
So help !

Updating Bluetooth

Ik have a Sony Smartwatch. Before the Sony update to 1.2.37 it used to work very well with my HD. On Runnymix 4.0 and on Icecream Sandwitch 8.3/8.4. After the Sony Update no more pairing with bluetooth. I figured out that the HD has bluetooth version 2.1, and that the Smartwatch has 4.0( not confirmed).
Is it possible to update the bluetooth radio voor the HD?
Some of my coworkers also have a HD, some even stock(!) No pairing whatsoever .....
My Nexus S on Jelly recognizes the Smartwatch an works with it.
But i want it on my HD!

Jellytime rom for hd is working great. that may pair with your watch? also, flash the latest radio? for me, bluetooth pairs in under a second with my car radio and other devices.

I googled out that Nexus S has bluetooth 3.0. Perhaps that is the issue because the custom roms are still on 2.1.

Nope, installing Jellytime didn't do the trick. Have to wait for the 3.o kernel...

I have a problem with my Bluetooth headset Jawbone Icon with all firmwares on Android 4.0.4 with Sense 4.x.
For example, last Sabsa 10.1, I pair my headset with the phone, it works fine with music or video players, but the do not send any voice signals while talking. My opponent can't hear me and I can't hear him by Jawbone Icon.
Instead of this my old headset works fine, it is Nokia HS-4W.
Nokia HS-4W has Bluetooth 1.1 - works fine.
Jawbone Icon has Bluetooth 2.1 - does'nt work while calling.
Has this trouble a solution?

you should flash another rom, like jellytime or codefirex periodical, if you want to use ICS you must flash aospX by existz

Watchout for changing roms.
In this Your BT connection failed (wierd, my car phone set connects, and I can talk all the time) but in another, like R29 cm10 based ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 YOU'RE NOT ABLE to change GSM NETWORKS MANUALLY. So it's worse.

now headphone button a Bt. work fine on Sabsa Prime with new Kernel Beastmode (here ) or if you want tou should flash a new Viper Rom 1.2.2.

Bluetooth headset issue fix (no call sound):
Delete your headset name from the list /system/etc/AudioBTID.csv
For example, for my Jawbone ICON i deleted the string "Jawbone ICON,1411,1511"
Now my headset works fine, I can call and speak through my headset.

Voyager pro bluetooth headset.

Anyone got one of these working with note2?
Mine pairs but I have no call audio.

I got an almost working Voyager Legend with my N7100, is the second one because the first had the same problem (disconnected from the phone, did not get audio feedback when pressing buttons). Same story with this one. The service guy said it's a problem with the Note 2, he said they tested 20 headsets with the note and got the same result , so...bad news

continually experience call disconnect so I stopped using for phone calls. Good sound for mono listening to YouTube. I now use an older, cheaper headset for calls. Other people are delighted with this headset so it may be partly related to connecting to more than one phone at a time.
One thing to try is Clear data in Settings > (Device) Application manager > All > Bluetooth share & LogsProvider

Another solution may be to update your firmware and try turning off Smart Sensors.

Android 8.1 Beta Bluetooth -> Car

Looks like a few people found fixes to this, but unfortunately i am not one of them. I tried switching the AVRCP version to 1.3 which led to a successful connection and the phone connection to work. However, media still does not work. My car is a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. iPhone connects with no issues. I'm a tad bit upset I bought a brand new car and new phone only having to resort to using an aux cord
Wondering if there are any lucky people out there who got their connection to work with any different methods?

I can use the phone for making calls, but Bluetooth audio doesn't work (Audi A4 B9 MMI+).
My workaround is using Android Auto for music playback, this at least works. But I hope Google will fix this...

Same here. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn't support Android Auto...I believe android 8.1 is supposed to be released today so maybe moving off of beta into that will work

So you can't play music over bluetooth to your car? That sucks. Music over Bluetooth works fine for both of my cars. Wonder what the issue is

I have an Audi S4 B8.5 MMI+ and I haven't had any issues with bluetooth connectivity for music or calls on any OS. The only concern I has is with Pandora the clock counter for the song didn't always register, but I thought that had more to do with the app as Spotify worked correctly.

Bluetooth works fine on my Jeep Cherokee 2017. However I don't get audio songs names , that was on 8.0 though. I will try tomorrow with 8.1 on.

Maybe the head unit needs a software update, those are available all the time. I know Toyota will just tell you that your phone isn't on the "list" of approved phones and that the issue is with you phone because it's got too new of an OS.
