It's fantastic, thanks man.

Known bugs:
Phone reboot if you try to lock: Settings -> Display -> Change sleep time to 30 min
- Settings -> Developer option -> tick on stay awake
So the screen has to be always on? Battery life?

Support for cm9 removed. You can still use it, but sd bug is too much of a pain. We've tried everything. It unmounts after boot. You can get it to work by unplugging then plugging it in again, but unmounts after phone wakes up

tried installing it, but it kept asking for the the v4a driver. i got up to modifying build.prop and rebooting it, but it still wants to install the v4a driver anyway, it's such a hassle. i'll just wait for a fix or deal with low volume for now.

It's supposed to ask you to install the driver, you select one of the options and then reboot. That should be it. Was that the way of it or do you get the prompt for a driver even after installation of it?
Actually the whole thing is easier if you flash this zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2625056&d=1394549299
After booting, open the app, select the audio driver you want, then reboot again. BTW if you do this get rid of any older versions of Viper you just tried to install.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

NOTE: This has been removed from the ROM itself. So we need to get MTP working instead of backporting USBMS

For MTP you should ask Jdevs and the OWL team, they got it working in AOSPE beta..............Although that was for 4.2, that should help quite a bit
EDIT: Just in case, workarounds for transferring data
1. Mount USB storage via recovery
2. Transfer files via bluetooth
I would really suggest the former since transferring huge files is a real drag on Bluetooth

It may take some time for KitKat ROMs to boot up for the first time, that's normal. No worries, it will boot (it has been tested).

JDevs is busy atm, but he might be free to help fixing bugs soon. Can you link me to an AOSPE build please?

I believe this is the only AOSPE build ever released, hope you can find something useful in it
EDIT: The link in the post is giving a 404, and I think I deleted the copy I had
Lol, I just realized USB Mass Storage does work. I'll try to fix MTP though.

Fine rom, great battery life, daily.
Gps having problems with " catching signal " but rest is working like a charm.:good:
I really wanted to ask, what are the chances that "Hover" works for us?
It's now open-source, right? If so, then it should be in the next build (RC1).

If it weren't for voice, it'd be a really decent kick-off release. Still, started to like it a lot even without. As always, time and good co-op will get it fixed.
