[Q]Best BUDGET Screen protector - HTC One X

Hey everyone, I couldn't figure out whether this should be in QnA or Accessories, but I figured it should be here.
Anyway, is there any known brands that do screen protectors, but at a reasonable price.
I know about ZiggZagg etc, but spending £15 on a screen protector to me is ludacrus, they come off/start peeling after not so long, so I couldn't imagine paying that for 1!.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated !!!

Umm... the One X has gorilla glass? You don't need a screen cover. That's like trying to wear a sock over your shoe to protect it from the ground....

1 - Its nothing like trying to wear a sock over a shoe thats a stupid analogy
2 - I would of liked a suggestion thanks.

Actually i just ordered the dynaflo hard shield, but i've search for other screen protectors in case it won't be as good as i thought.
I came across skinomi screen protector wich look pretty great and covers almost the entire screen...it cost around 12$ (i dunno what's your budget but i think its pretty cheap..) here's a video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwcex1_uJg
hope it helps...

I have learnt the hard way that gorilla glass can not be trusted any more...
That's a shame as it was perfect on my Desire Z...
Hox screen is filled with micro starches out of nowhere....

Hense I want a screen protector.
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND ONE ?!?!?!

I would stay clear of SGP ultra oleophobic...
Its nearly impossible to install correctly, picks up dirt quite easily and the rainbow effect is all over the place...
The only things i like it that it doesn't go round the edges so it wont peel off and the feel of the protector is almost identical to the HOX glass...
For the price i paid not very satisfied since i ruined the 1st one upon installation!

Best Skins Ever .
www.bestskinsever.com
You can either get full body or screen only protection.
Cheapest price, BEST quality, the touch and feel is amazing.

I bought these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6x-Clear-LC...901133?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4abb2d7fcd
unless u spend good money i find that most screen protectors are about the same. when i get them ill see how they stand up

I feel exactly the same as you. I've been looking for a decent screen protector since I got my One X. Unfortunately I can't advise you on any good ones as I haven't found one yet, but I can tell you don't bother with the official HTC one. I paid something like £8 (if I remember rightly) thinking it's the official one so it should be good but it didn't even fit the phone due to the curved edges. The edges were raise all around it which looked awful.
I'd be interested if anyone does recommend a decent one for a reasonable price.
And for the record, gorilla glass does scratch. It's not things like sharp objects that are the problem but minute grains of dust and sand rubbing against it. It scratches very easily under certain circumstances, such as in a gritty pocket or a pocket with sand in it.

well ijust recieved the ones from ebay... its clear but the protector doesnt cover the edges and ends like .2 in from the bottom

Well, the best that I have use so far is Skinomi. Have gone through all others and end up going back to Skinomi as it is the only which cover from edge to edge. The one who don't tend to collect dust on the side and it just annoying

Capdase makes pretty good screen protectors. Only thing you should be protecting your phone against is sand.

Thanks for all suggestions !
By the looks of it Skinomi looks best for me.
How is the install process, easy?
Does it catch dust or is it a clean install if that makes sense?
Thanks !!

Install process is not as difficult as dsbg, just make sure that your hand is wet

for me, sometimes my screen isn't slick enough when my thumb drags across it and im hoping a screen protector will help

Bestskinsever are the best skins ever, super cheap, great support, i can recomend them enough

Hi,
i use bestskinever and i am very happy with it. The skin goes frome edge to edge and is very easy to install. I also compared it with de XO Skin which is much more expensive and coud not see andy diference.

Decided to stick with my 6 for £2 protectors

I Bought Gorillagard from Amazon for £5.99. It does not cover the whole screen but slightly wider than the ones just cover the center off the screen. The good thing about this screen protector is that if it gets dirty all you have to do is peel it off, wash it with water and stick it back on. It uses static to stick to the screen. The edges are a problem though but i ain't too fussed about it.

Who actually uses screen protectors?

Just curious how many people on XDA that have the Captivate and actually use one. (If you do, post the name and what you think)
The Gorilla Glass seems pretty tough to scratch. Anyone have any scratches?
got three of them on ebay for $1.60. I like them... Some day when I take it off to sell it my screen will be PERECT, not "only a few small scratches" and bump the selling price up a few bucks.
its gorilla glass you're wasting your 1.60! doesnt scratch.
$1.60 is a small price to pay just for that little bit of extra insurance... And it is possible to scratch gorilla glass - I did it to my bricked captivate. Thats what happens when you absent mindedly slip your phone into the same pocket your keys are in

this is the stupidest post ive seen all day. it CAN scratch. you have been sold on a product that works really well to prevent scratches better than most.. but still its not perfect, i have slipped my captivate out of one pocket and into another that had a penny in it and it made one small but long scratch.
a screen protector would have easily prevented this from happening....
I just received 3 screen protectors for $1.57 from ebay today. Just put it on and it's barely noticeable other than a haze while the screen is off.
I got them because I'm afraid scratching my screen. (My screen already has several micro scratches that are only noticeable when light shines on it at odd angles.)
I got the matte body cover from phantomskinz, including a screen protector. I can't tell it's there, and it's really smooth (compared to invisibleSHIELD)
Plus the matte body looks really snazzy
Nice thanks for the info peeps!
I was looking into getting a case through casemate...
http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Cap...color=20&start=2&cgid=samsung-captivate-cases
And it turns out they give you a screen protector.
I use the ones available at the att stores. I am VERY picky when it comes to these things, this one is crystal clear, and difficult to tell its on there..
After a little practice ( I went through one package just practicing) I am now easily able to get it on without a single bubble or hair in the first try. Best $10 I've spent on a phone accessory.

Right! and the GPS works flawlessly too.. it actually scratches easier than I thought it would. Protectors are a wise investment imo.
it maybe be scratch resistant but not scratch proof. IMO its foolish to take any unnecessary risks damaging your screen.
Im using SGP Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint screen protectors... installs real easy and durable..

You are right ANYTHING can be scratched. See here http://www.amfed.org/t_mohs.htm notice quartz (found in sand regularly found in a pocket) and glass are right at the same level....
I have tried SOOO many screen protectors over the years. From the cheepies you buy at the ATT store, to the really expensive full phone wraps. I HATE screen protectors like zagg, ghost armor, etc. Yes they cover your phone, but your phone is going to be ugly, and a pain to use. They are sticky, discolored, and textured... all bad things if you are trying not to notice your protector.
The best thing I have found is REALOOK. They are crystal clear, thin, and hard. It feels like glass, and looks like glass. They are $10 for 2 of them, and I have not even had to use my second skin. I put one on my GFs phone at night and she didnt even know for a week she had a screen protector, until I told her. I also heard the SteinHeil screenies are about the same quality, just more expensive.
I actually use a Zagg screen protector, I know a lot of people hate the orange peel look but I don't mind it, it's very smooth under my fingers.
I'm in the boat too where I just keep it on there just in case, and as a matter of fact, it fell in my car the other day, and hit the underside of one of my seats, put a pretty good gouge in my screen protector, i know it would have scratched it if I hadn't had something on.
all of us cappy owners know that it has gorilla glass, but better safe than sorry. I would rather know I have a 100% free of scratches original screen than some small little scuffs on it without one..
i put on a steinheil ultra crystal clear screen protector.. depending on installation (no air bubbles) you hardly even notice it is there unless you look closely at the edges..
matte screen protectors i truly loathe, because it distorts the image and makes it blurry on our superamoled screens.. absolute garbage..
I've found the screen protect that comes with all Outterbox cases to be very nice. I think it was the easiest to install. Also I've used Reallook on my wifes Cappy. It feel the same as the Outterbox but you really need to clean the crap out of the glass for it to work well. It's not as forgiving to get the bubbles smoothed out as the Outterbox one...
In any case make sure to use a good glass cleaner before installing one.

Agreed. It most certainly can be scratched. I have a scratch on mine. Barely noticeable, only at certain angles and in the light is that noticeable. My phone is still naked but I do plan on getting a case from Otterbox when I can.

Atrix screen protector

I've been considering getting a screen protector for a while now. The problem I have is my hands sweat very badly (gross I know) and then the touch screen on my phone goes crazy from the water on the screen. I have never had this problem with any phone I've had before now. I think it is because the Atrix touch screen is more sensitive than any other phone I've had. I was wondering if a screen protector would fix this problem and what some good brands were to try. Thanks
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
You should always have a screen protector on any smart device you care about. One grain of sand in your pocket can ruin your screen (and your day). That said....
A screen protector will likely NOT fix your problem, as water (sweat) registers as a capacative touch. For a screen protector to "fix" the registration of sweat, it would have to also "fix" the registration of a desired capacitive touch (finger, stylus, or otherwise).
The only manner in which a screen protector could help is if you could find a very hydrophobic one (the repells and beads water), though you would still need to soak up that water with your shirt or a handkerchief or something. I'm not sure they even sell these. Google is your friend, here. Use keywords hydrophobic and/or water-repellent. Good luck, my friend, and let us know if you find anything interesting!

I tried few of a kind and decided to go with Otterbox Defender case which has a transparent front panel.
Refurbished case is about $20-25 and as good as a new one.
No need for screen protector. No mess with applying one...
What if I put on an average screen protector and then sprayed it with some form of water repellent?

Water repellent spray wouldn't work because the screen protectors are vinyl or polyurethane and are not absorbent. Those hydrophobic sprays only work with an absorbent material like cloth or real leather.
Use car wax, something like the rain-x.

I have to disagree with the statement that you have to have a screen protector, we have gorilla glass! I have never had a protector and my screen looks great! As for this situation, a protector that has a little rubberized feel might work well. I would read reviews on Amazon and buy the one that people complain the most about it sticking!

FWIW, my wife has been w/o a screen protector since April and I've been with / without one on and off since June.
Still not a single scratch on either phone, however, without one the screen is too smooth, so I'm thinking of going back installing one.
Hope this helps...
I went without a screen protector for a few months. I took the phone outside and noticed TONS of very fine scratches. You could only see them in direct sunlight, but it bothered me enough that I got a screen protector shortly thereafter.
I was thinking to buy a Vikuiti ADQC27. Has anyone tried it?
Thanks
I have to second the rec for the Otterbox Defender case. Having the screen protector built in is pretty awesome and in my experience, it has withstood all kind of liquidy stuff on it and plenty of goopy stuff as well. Like those technical terms?
It hasn't hampered my touch screen through various roms with various sensitivities and my glowing review hasn't even hit all the protection benefits it gives.
Best part? I got mine for about $10 'used' on ebay and while the silicone part was a little loose, a quick email to Otterbox got me a free placement in the mail without any hassle.
I haven't used one myself, but if they make one for the Atrix and if it's what you are really looking for, Zagg stuff has made some of my friends really happy.
You should look into a Matte one where is almost smudge free
altho it looks slightly foggy and scratch easily, but its worth it
make sure u get like a few togehter on ebay so you have backup ones

Can you suggest any brand? Something like the GreatShield Ultra Anti-Glare (Matte)?
I have one on mine, steinheil (SGP), while the protector gets scratched its better than the screen getting scratched.
Can't really tell the SGP ultra crystal protector is on the screen either, other than the few scratches that are on the protector now. Comes with 2 in a package if you get them.
They have an oleophobic one that is suppose to be oil resistant, maybe that one might be ideal? The ultra fine is their matted one.
If you look at the product on their webpage the 'Select a Color' changes the type of protector they have (took me a min to find the different versions they had when I looked again).
Last while the corning glass is tough, with a vickers hardness of 622kgf/mm2 in the unstrengthened and 701 in the strengthened stuff is pretty impressive.
Spec sheet for the glass can be found from corning's site using a google search, made me curious to check it.
While pretty hard something as simple and common as sand can scratch it which has a vickers hardness of about 1000....
Keys, lighters and the like are unlikely to scratch it though as unless its hardened tool steel its hardness will likely be below 650, an edge on a tungsten ring could probably do the trick though.
Anyhow I keep one on my phone, though maybe not really necessary I'd rather have a scratched screen protector than see the glass get scratched.

Zagg and Skinomi are quite nice. I like the Skinomi on my tablet maybe even a bit better than the Zagg on the Atrix, but the difference is very minimal. I'd say the Skinomi may slide slightly better than the Zagg, but you're splitting hairs.
I agree with BeakHill. SGP is great except they scratch easier than Zagg. The Ultra crystal is so clear that they don't even have a cut out for the front camera. The Ultra fine is their matte model and it is good and smooth, the crystal is nicer IMO..
The problem with SGP is they spoil you to the other brands, and they are more expensive.
ive always put a total body skin on my phone in addition to a case

[Q] Moto X Screen Protectors ?

Hello Folks,
I know there are loads of screen protector threads out there but none of them are recent for the MotoX.
I have had an XtremeGuard Protector on my X for a few months, but the gummyness, orange peel and lack of screen sensitivity is killing me.
What are some good current options that are $15 or under ?
Thanks,
Pete
I'm currently using the SUPCASE Screen protector that came with my case: has everything I need to get it on once and only once(even comes with a lint remover film). Looks and feel great. I don't know what you mean by 'gummyness though, the only screen protector I would describe that has a gummy-like feel(especially when I pinch with my fingernail is the Skinomi brands.

I bought a couple of the Mimeusa.com glass screen protectors, one for my wife and another for myself. Installed mine first, its a little different installing such a stiff protector, luckily i was able to lift it back up easily a couple times to adjust the positioning.
The wifes I installed a couple hours after, and it felt like it gave me more problems. didn't want to get positioned right, but eventually I got it lined up well.
The next day it fell off in her car while she was driving and got covered in dirt and dust on the adhesive side.
Mine is still on, after 2 weeks of use;
The texture is awesome! i hate most screen protectors, but this is glass and feels so good to the touch. you hardly notice its there.
It hasn't taken and scratches, and it does feel like fingerprints are less noticeable than on the bare screen.
I don't have a case of my X yet, ordered a bumper from amazon, but its not here yet.
I feel that the protector gathers small fibers easily at the edge. there are a couple of very small fibers that have worked there way just under the edge of the glass. They are hardly noticeable, especially when the screen is on.
I have not seen any new accumulation since the first few days, so maybe its more prone to catching the fibers in the hours / day after installation. I would advise avoiding pockets for 24 hours after installing this product if you can.
I will probably use this screen protector until it chips/breaks/gets too scratched up, and then go naked screen for the rest of the phones life.
If you are intending to spend $15 for a screen protector, might as well get a tempered glass one. I'm using this one: http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Motorola-Ultra-Thin-Tempered-Protector/dp/B00E0CUP18/
If you installed it correctly the first time, it should stay stuck and without any bubbles.

I would just like to throw out my support for Liquid Armor. I use it on all of my touchscreen devices, and have never had a scratch on a screen since, and it feels just like glass, without anything on it. The best part is that the one bottle can be used for several screens. Though if you don't use it in a couple months, the stuff will harden in the nozzle of the bottle, making it more difficult to use.
Edit: figured Id throw in a link. http://www.amazon.com/Dynaflo-LIQUID-ARMOR-Universal-Microfiber-DYN-LA100SP/dp/B007EZ3EM0

Disclaimer: I posted this in a couple other threads, but I wanted to try and post it where I know we've been discussing tempered glass screen protectors.
Here's some pictures of the redesigned i-Blason protector. As you can see, there is now a cutout for the proximity sensor. The corners also fit the Moto X perfectly (their old design fit perfectly too). Very happy I finally have a protector that FITS and where the proximity sensor won't be blocked! I liked the i-Blason until I had started having proximity sensor issues because I had dropped it several times, and it never once cracked, unlike the MIME, which cracked the very first time I dropped it.

i have tempered glass on my moto X ( mimeusa.com/product/moto-x-ghost-glass-screen-protector/ ) since january.
it was very easy to install and the feel is wonderful. my only complaint is that when you drop your phone, it can crack. better a crack on the protector than a scratch on the device, right? my phone has been pretty suicidal lately, what w/ jumping off tables, so it has accumulated many cracks on the protector. i am replacing it (with same ghost glass) and also buying a bumper case ... that may make a difference in the life span of the protector.
this is my first glass protector and yes i like it. on previous devices i used zagg screen protectors and was VERY HAPPY with them, but when i ordered their protector for the moto X, i found that they must have screwed up on the device specs, as the film didn't even cover the entire viewing screen. UNACCEPTABLE! i will not go back to their products.
I had the MIMEUSA and was very happy with the feel of the MIMEUSA, but it didn't fit properly. The corners were too squared and extended over the screen. The edges were also suppose to be beveled to prevent chipping but mine seemed like they were beveled out, leaving a lip on the glass. This all led to the edges chipping and eventually a larger break.
I ordered the i-Blason to try it and am very happy. The fit is perfect, its quite a bit thinner than the MIMEUSA, and it feels just as slick and smooth as the MIMEUSA and the glass screen. I would recommend the i-Blason over the MIMEUSA. And the i-Blason is only $17 on Amazon making it about the same price as the high quality plastic protectors.

Screen Protectors?

So since this phone is so inexpensive, are we going to get screen protectors for it? Or just let it go? I'm probably going to get something simple, like this one, just for some basic protection. Is anyone else planning on getting any sort of protection?
Thanks in advance!
I bougth one and after 2 weeks is scratched and has a crack so you should no spend your money on this
Yeah, the tempered glass screen protector is pretty good.
i usually just let it go, feel better than cover any protectors
Hi:
I depends on how do you use you screen.
I have own a Galaxy S, SIII and now this Moto E 2015 , and never ever used a screen protector. No scratches on screen. Nevertheless I know some people using the phone as a kitchen cutting table and have the same results (as the kitchen table).
Gorilla glass is pretty hard though.
I actually have screen protectors on my devices just so because it feels good to know there's an added protection. You may want to check this one.
The Tempered film is a better choice.
Where i live in Canada i could not find one in store.
I was able to see a couple cases but they were super cheaply made and super expensive (in my Mall)
So i didn't buy a case.. i also didn't want a bulky case because i lucked out and found a sweet belt clip case at Wallmart.
The case from Wallmart fits my dimensions perfectly for the phone and has my phone attached to my belt now
I like using my phone to listen to music while i ride my mountain bike.
So what i ended up doing is getting an iPhone 6 protective film for $2 and i just trimmed the top off and laid it on top my phone.
i have 95% of it covered and it looks ok.. i had done a better job but i tried to make it perfect and screwed it up.
Pro Tip: Don't be a perfectionist when making your own cut and paste protective film LOL
Also..
I could have gotten a protective film from a kiosk in my local Mall that is suppose to be strong etc.
The kiosk custom cuts the protective material for any device from watches to phones, so i *could have done that.
But, they wanted about $35 can. after taxes for my cheap phone so i said no thanks.
I do want to ask any of you out there a question (i am fairly new to android phones only had a S3 for a few months before)
What i want to know is are the Gorilla glass screen good enough that i can just ditch the plastic film stuff ?
Like i have seen some guys say online that they don't bother putting a protective skin on the phone.
So what do you guys think ? Maybe i should ditch the protective plastic stuff on my phone ?

gorilla glass is preatty hard, it can survive some hard things like keys or somethig made of metal but there are things that can easy scrach it - for example sand (because it's harder than glass). I can't recommend plastic screen protectors, they do the job but they are real fingerprints magnets. It's impossible to keep it clean. I think you should buy glass protector, you can find cheap ones on some chineese sites with free shipping (it takes like month but I think it's worth)
Today I got my 3$ tempered screen protector form Chinese auction site. The shipping was free, it should take more than 30 days according to info on the site but I've waited only 12 days. IMO the glass quality is very good but it's my first tempered glass protector. Instalation process was easy (even without instruction on the box but there is a lot of videos on YouTube about instalation) though I have small air bubble around proximity sensor. It's my first glass so maybe I've done something wrong. Anyway I'm very happy, I had plastic foil before and it's like day and night. The fell of the glass under the finger is great. IMO this 3$ glass is a great deal.
I bought my one here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-5D..._77_91_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_9
Edit
Today that bubble dissapered for itself, now it sticks perfectly. For 3$ I'm more than happy.
Just go get one from XtremeGuard and use a coupon to bring the price down to like $2.
tyvm got all the info i need here

I had something like that on my last phone and it got really scratched after 1 week, mostly from this metal things around pocket in jeans pants. It made screen look grainy too but it was pretty comfortable to use in sunlight.

Ahhh I see, well you could get a case that covers the screen, that way it doesn't get grainy or scratched. Regardless of the screen or screen protector, I think it's not recommended to place your phone on the same pocket you have your keys in, or other metal things.

I think about those two metal spots around pocket in most of jeans' pockets. I just want to say that it won't suit for every people, I used something like that and I was really mad about how it made my screen grainy and how soft it was although it performed preatty good in sunlight and fingerprints wasn't so visible. Then I had non matte one, screen looked better but it was real fingerprints magnet. It was harder but still It got scratched after some time. Now I have glass and for me it's the best choice. It's very transparent, very hard and it's not so bad with fingerprints but it's thick so it can colide with some cases (not an issue for me). That's just my opinion about thoose protectors.

Well I bought mine for 2$ on chinese site (aliexpress). It's cheap, preatty easy to install, very scratch resistant and very clear, screen looks bright and it feels great under the finger. The downsides are that it's thick so it won't work well with every case, I use it with orginal grip shell and it's good combo because of the case design: http://forum.android.com.pl/uploads/monthly_12_2015/post-142525-0-25574200-1451048167.jpg The second problem is that the oleophobic coating wears off but after 2-3 months it's still not so bad (but it was better when it was new).

[Q] Ever use a tempered glass screen protector?

Well, I had to learn the lesson the hard way. It was night time and my niece wanted to catch some crawdads from the small creek in my brother's back yard. I put my phone in the pocket that had my keys (grr!) and crawled along the creekbed catching some crawdads for the kids. Well, the next day I noticed a small hairline scratch about 1cm long. Bummer! So my previously perfect M9 picked up it's first noticeable defect. :crying:
I read that the tempered glass screen covers will tend to make small scratches less visible and provide protection from future scratches. The one I am looking at is 0.33mm thick, so it will still create a bit of a "lip" at the top and bottom of the phone, but the case I use should cover the sides. I never put a screen protector on my M7 and after 1.5 years it was still in very good condition. Perhaps I should just be more careful in the future.
A couple questions:
Does anybody have experience using them with the M9?
Are they easy to remove?
Worth $10 and the hassle?
Thanks
Tried Tempered Glass on my G3 and never looked back.
Unparalleled screen clarity, easy to remove, easily worth the money. Just fit it slowly and carefully
Can't comment on it covering scratches though
I would say the money is worth it. I have one on my M9. They are easy to install just follow the steps. I personally, even if the glass protector on, never put my phone in a pocket with my keys or change or anything. the only thing in front right pocket is my phone and nothing else. this is the one I used http://www.amazon.com/Tech-Armor-Premium-Ballistic-Protector/dp/B00U6EZGCC hope this helps

I use tech armor as well and used cailifu on my s5. Both work great. And haven't gotten a single scratch. Even when trying. Plus the warranty is awesome. My wife's broke 3 of them and I haven't even paid shipping for the replacements. And her phone still looks brand new.

The first thing I did when getting my M9 was to order a Spigen GlasTr screen protector. Though I tend to be careful with my phone, and I have a Seido case/holster, if it weren't for the Spigen glass protector, I would have surely broken my screen. I accidentally 'bobbled' it and the phone landed screen down on my (tile) countertop, chipping the protector. Had it not been there, I would definitely have a chipped or broken screen.
I can't say if applying a protector to your screen will help. I would just rely on the 'Uh,Oh' protection and request a new phone... and then immediately put a screen protector on the replacement. Yes, they're very easy to remove, but not so easy to install. See my guide here: CLICKY - it might help.
Just my two cents.

I'm currently using this:

Absolutely love it.
Bought one from amazon for a couple of quid, really cheap, easy to fit, job done. They can cover certain scratches from past experience depending on the deepness..

Thanks for the feedback folks . I ordered one from Amazon for $9...seems like a can't-go-wrong decision. Glad to hear that they offer the durability they promise.
Cheers!

Solid feedback. I try to not keep the phone in my pocket as well, but given that I would be leaning over water, the shirt pocket (a common place for it) was out of the question and I didn't have convenient spot to set it down (outside around a fire). The good news is that the scratch is very minor (I've stopped noticing it) and I have a feeling that the screen protector will diminish its appearance. I'm going to hold onto the Uh Oh protection in the event that something really bad happens.
I'll review your guide for tips on the install.
Thanks again!

Not just that but thankfully HTC haven't curved their screens, so there is no halo effect, for example, my last phone the Note 4 had the halo effect, absolutely horrible design floor.
I had the 9H brand on my M8 for the whole year and definitely worth it, so I ordered the 9H again same day I ordered my Dev Edition and installed it soon as I opened the M9 Box.
But I can't speak on the removal as I have never had to take it off for nothing..

as above. It's just like you're using the standard glass screen of the phone. I was worried that due to its slight increase in thickness it would perhaps affect the usage of my dot view case (being able to make calls to last few callers etc) but it works as it should. perfectly definately recommend them over plastic ones any day.
You guys have convinced me. I am going for the tempered glass next time I pass the shop.

Well as many said, the tempered screen protector are harmful to eyes. For me, sometimes, the touchscreen are not that sensitive when I'm unlocking the phone. However, it's not a big deal, wearing a screen protector makes me feel more safe. I bought it from an online supplier: http://www.etradesupply.com/htc-one-m9-tempered-glass-screen-protector.html

Lol, this is a weird thing to read. How does a glass screen protector hurt your eyes? Unless you get it stuck in your eye? If a screen protector has been fitted correctly and its not super thick then you shouldn't have a single problem.
