[Q] Question regarding voice recognition - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi everyone, please help me with an issue. When I drive, my phone is connected to my bluetooth receiver. Problem is, when that happens, Android voice recognition does not seem to work. I would occasionally like to be able to dictate a text message, however the microphone seems to be disabled when I tap the mic button on the keyboard. This happens no matter what bluetooth headset I have connected. However, S Voice seems to turn the mic on, for voice recognition. So, is there any way for me to fix this and use Android's native voice recognition? I am running a stock rooted ROM and stock kernel. I appreciate all your suggestions.

Question to those using phone for GPS

I'm sorry if this has been asked in the past, but I was wondering what happens to your navigation screen when a phone call comes in or when you need to place a call? Now it would be nice not to be doing several things at one time, but if a call comes in while you are trying to navigate, doesn't the call menu come on screen? How do you suppress that? Just wondering as I am looking to get a TP2 via AT&T. Thanks.
Dunno about other kit, but my copy of TomTom6 produces a popup on my iPAQ hw6915, and all I hace to do is answer the call (I use a BT headset with it when driving to stay roadsade as much as possible). The voice directions from TomTom remain muted while the call is in progress, by the way.
hi
While using GPS (GARMIN XT), the phone screen appears in case of incoming call.
I always use my bluetooth earphones while using GPS.
GPS voice will be thru the speaker and call on bluetooth.
After the call, the screen turns back the the GPS view automatically.

[Q] Mic Problems

I seem to be having mic problems on my Galaxy Nexus (GSM). The phone works fine, but sometimes the mic for voice notes, voice search, GrooveIP, Skype calls etc stops working.
Rebooting fixes the problem.
I do use a Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone for my car, so it is
possible the mic does not switch back when BT gets disconnected.
Anyone else seeing this? I am on stock everything.

Same here.
Really? No answers. No one else hade this issue?
I have it and it is bothering me. Google Voice Search, Skype, Voice recorder applications. None of them work. I get noice, but no voice.
I am thinking of returning the handset and demanding a new one. I am (still) on stock.

Microphone Issues with CM10 based Roms

Hello Everyone,
I am having microphone issues with CM10 based Roms. Whenever I try to use a voice recorder app, even though what I am trying to record is sufficiently loud, the phone hardly picks it up. The same thing occurs when I try to use voice search. It seems like the phone is using the microphone as if I were on a normal voice call and not on speakerphone. Is there some type of fix for this? I did some research and searching, but I haven't found anything.
Thanks

[Q] Kitkat G now bluetooth mic problem

Hey all,
So Im running Dirty unicorn 4.4.2 and I got a Bluetooth headset for my motorcycle helmet. Initially when I pressed the voice call button on the BT voice dialer popped up. I wanted Google now insead so I disabled the voice dialer and than it allowed me to select google now. Well here is the issue, I can say "Ok google" and it hears it and begins listening but after that it does not hear anything I say. I have selected to use Bluetooth in G Now settings and have even tried to enable the screen tap sound checkmark (which I head had issues being off) with no luck.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? One weird note is while G Now is listening the volume indicator does some weird jumps but it does it when I am not saying anything.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have any idea? I have a local build of Dirty Unicorns up and running on my computer so I can modify source and kernel but have not found anything that would relate to this problem.

Google Now / Voice Search volume over Bluetooth - too quiet

As per the title, I've been having issues when trying to use voice search when my OP3 is connected to my cars Bluetooth. The head unit has a dedicated button for using voice search, which I quite often use to send text messages whilst driving.
The issue is I simply can't hear it, the volume is too quiet. Even when the car is stationary I can only just hear it. There's no volume control for the app either. Sure, in call volume can be changed and I can hear that no problem, media too. My S6 Edge was perfectly audible (except the initial "bling" noise the app makes to let you know it's listening).
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I could fix it?
Cheers
