Does anyone know if Screencast or screencast lite works on any verspin or ROM on the KF

Yeah. I messaged him on RootsWiki with no response, so I emailed him through the Dev email on the page for the app.

Has anyone else experienced anything with either version of this app?

Are you using free or paid? And what ROMs have you tried it on?

I am referring to you, Jessica.
I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that one of my favorite respected modders is a girl; and only in high school too!

Are we using the same hardware & software? Kindle fire first gen, twrp, fff, cm10.1 from Jan2013+, gapps 121212 all clean flash. How is it possible that some can use it & some can't? I can use it, but the vids are blank.

Same here. I tried with cm10 sgt7 2012 builds first. I wanted to wait on battery and stability improvements before I switched but now I am on cm10.1 clean flashed.

[mod]circle battery mod for glazed jellybean closing

hello. I am a themer and I made a circle battery mod for the GLAZED JELLYBEAN ROM. I have made many other battery mods for JB and I am positive that this will work, but I don't have a Nextus device, so I cant test this. I made it because hyperrunner has been a good friend to me. So all I need is one tester.
EDIT:It has been tested and it works
flash in recovery. no need to wipe.

Yep, sorry to say, but making mods like this have to be made ROM specific. But like i said in a previous post, you can build your own. I wrote a tut on it [URL]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814441

Lol, yeah, forgot about theames from theame chooser. On the Kindle fire choosing a theame with a circle battery never changes the battery icon.Well, OK, at least the color is different LOL. Thanks for telling me. But I have been seeing threads asking if their are circle battery mods for these roms, and the best thing people could come up with were widgets.
This is my favorite type of battery.

Try using Hotfile or RapidShare
try splitting the .zip/.rar file into couple smaller ones, with ~50mb each.
Some screenshots would be nice as well

Can i install this rom on top of the Hashcode's CM10 without losing data ?
You completely took the concept of Alien droid and made it your own. You sent us messages saying if you can post this modified ROM or make it public and we specifically said you can only use it for personal use and nothing else. Basically you took out the GUI settings and tweaked it a bit. I advise you take it down immediately. I also sent you a message of the authenticity of this rom.
I am guessing this is the ROM you wanted me to include in my video. I can't do that without any download links or an official ROM. When you have a working link message me.

[Q] Kindle Fire ROMs

Can someone post a list of all the available ROMS for the Kindle Fire? I am running Jandycane which is awesome, but I'm just curious what else is available. If anyone wants to throw in what they use and what they like about it, that would be cool!
Thanks,
Gino

Ubuntu for tablets

This may be a stupid question which has a simple answer (no). But I thought I'd ask anyway.
When the ubuntu for tablets comes out on Thursday, will it be possible for Kindle Fire 2 users to flash it just like how cyanogenmod is flashed (TWRP) or the method described here? - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Install
I'm guessing not, but worth a try.
Feel free to use this for discussion.
Edit: Turns out Ubuntu mobile is utilising some of cyanogenmod's code - https://plus.google.com/u/0/115049428938715274412/posts/cYtVT2pb9ZT
Well of course we would need to get the kernel integrated into it but yeah i think we could get it to work. I think it'd be amazing

I think the dual boot might be an issue as you would run out of space on the device. Must agree that Ubuntu tablet looks very cool and makes JB look slightly dated =-O

Looks like it will be possible after all. I'm quite excited to see what happens, please post updates here if you hear of any. I'd like to trial this ASAP.
Actually, I came to this forum after taking a long break from modding specifically to see if anyone had taken a look at the tablet version of Ubuntu along with the Ubuntu phone code released a few days ago. I'm in the process of setting up a machine as my modding environment right now so I can poke around a bit with both as soon as I manage to locate a copy of the tablet os.

Holy crap. This is VERY possible. Canonical uses CM10 as their base for Android, so in theory any dual core device capable of running CM10 can run Ubuntu Touch Preview without much trouble. Tomorrow night, I'll give it a try and see if I can build it using their instructions and your CM-based rom (which is what I am already running on my KF2 anyway)

Nice, can't wait to see the results. Don't even care if it's sluggish and nothing works, still pure awesomeness.
Not to be rude....but this IS the development section, and you asked a question
I legitimately believed that you were posting "Ubuntu for tablets" and not a question about it.
I'm not mad at you, like any other wrong post I wouldn't comment on, this just REALLY got my hopes up then I was just like "oh, I guess I'll wait then "
Can't wait to see it soon thought hopefully. Looks like it will be fairly easy to do.

Haha my bad I guess :/
I actually did notice the box 'are you asking a question' but I felt it sort of needed to be posted here anyways since people who'd normally frequent this part of the forums may not venture into the Q&A section and I wanted their input.
