HTC one V CDMA - HTC One V

Hi Guys,
I bought a new HTC one V CDMA ( Virgin Mobile) recently.
I have a set of questions, please answer them.
I wanted to know the difference between the Virgin mobile version and the other listed PrimoC version.?
I am seeing many custom roms listed for the PrimoC version? ...
What will happen if i flash them on to my Virgin Mobile phone...
Also i want to activate the phone on Reliance CDMA india , if you have a procedure to do it let me know.
Whats the default SPC of the phone ? . whats the procedure to change the SPC if required.

Don't make a thread like this here. This is the DEVELOPMENT SECTION not the Q&A SECTION. They can try to help you there.

There is no sperate QA section for the CDMA HTC One V so is the reason i have posted it here.
Sorry if it bothers you ..
By the way it will be helpful if you can clarify some of my doubts

The Q&A section we have is for both in general....... You Just have to specify which one you own. PrimoC IS the virgin Mobile version....... and the ROMs labeled PrimoC are meant for the CDMA version of the One v. I don't know about the others.
Edit: it doesn't bother me. It bothers everyone else. Especially our devs. There are reasons for the separate sub forums our admins and mods have set up for us. Use them please.
Codename: One V.

Doesn't matter to me where it's posted, but if your on Virgin Mobile like me, you are on primoc.
If your get a One V with a sim card, your on Primou.
Stay away from GSM/Primou boot images, and recovery images as well. Its safe to use CDMA stuff, and if you want a GSM ROM, PM me. I can port it over and PM

Might want to specify that most, if not all, PrimoC roms are for Virgin Mobile USA. If you're in India, you're probably gsm (PrimoU). If your device has a sim card, you're in the wrong subforum.

Hes in the wrong sub forum anyway lol. This is definitely q&a thread material.

Putting bickering aside, there are two versions of the one v. The primo C is the CDMA or virgin mobile. It has no sim card, and should say virgin mobile on the back.
The primo U version is gsm and takes a sim card. It's the version that the rest of the world got.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Indian carriers, but if the carrier is CDMA based then you should be able to find a unlocking guide somewhere. No promises though.
Good luck, and next time just remember that only the development threads are separated, the rest are joint threads.

Its not bickering, people just need to learn that rules apply. Sub sections like q&a and general exist for a reason.
Op please contact a mod and have this thread moved or closed.

Not all the world got gsm lol, I'm on alltel and they are cdma one V lol.

How do I tell if I have a GSM or CDMA One V? Thanks.

Do you have a sim card?

Yes

You are gsm

It should be noted that primo c also applies to the cricket wireless version, which is owned by leap wireless, which was just recently purchased by at&t. And as I have the cricket version I can confirm that all virgin Mobil versions work on it

[Q] Cdma Desire Threads

I am just wondering why we haven't separated forums between gsm and cdma for the desire. It is a little confusing to find roms and help for cdma when it's all mixed together with gsm. Or is it just me, something i'm missing?
That's why we have this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328.
I think the numbers are just to low of people with cmda.

Thanks i did see this but its still not separated under desire's main forums and when i look for android development under desire it's still combined gsm and cdma. You are probably right though, the cdma numbers are probably too low. I guess i'm just an organizational freak and it just bothers me thats all.
I am a fellow cdma owner as well and also wish we had our own category lol

You could browse around over at www.teamuscellular.com. Even though this is mostly geared towards US Cellular customers, their phones are CDMA and most of the threads under the Android forums are people with the Desire (there are a few with Mesmerize too, but I find that most conversation is in regards to the HTC Desire CDMA).

Two Dev sub forums

This is message to a mod asking for two Dev forums. One for GSM and one for CDMA. Do you want or not want this to happen? Give me your opinions...

Hello. I need to ask you of a favor
I believe you are the moderater of the HTC Wildfire S forums. Could I ask you to split the development forums into two sections like the nexus s' - GSM and cdma. this would help rom builders a lot.

Anybody aware of the HTC t328w, the One V's Chinese cousin?

I live in china atm, I recently got one thinking it was the One V, without any prior knowledge (it was an impulse buy, really cheap), needless to say, it was not and it's basically the One V (the same internals) in the body of the One S?
My question is, does anybody else have experience with this, and since this has the same internals as the One V, will all One V roms work for this as well? This is my first china unicom phone, and wow I can't believe there are actually companies that supply more memory hogging, unremovable bloatware than verizon.. (in a thread here I read, some person rooted this phone using the one V method, but that's maybe the only thread for this phone on the internet ;__

The CPU and the GPU are not the same as ONE V. Rooting it with One V method maybe will work, but ROMS from One V will work only if one will do a port. You will then need to paste your drivers taken from another rom for your device!
the V one root work very good, but can not install google apps
Please follow my guide to install Google apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28172565

Rogers developpement section ?

Do you guys think there could be a section for Rogers SIII phones ?
Seconded, most users here seem to be US based and I don't want this to end up like the Skyrocket/S2 LTE.
I believe the Rogers variant is the same as the AT&T model, I'm not sure if a separate forum/section is required.
i'm pretty sure that the Rogers variant is the same to AT&T's.
having a separated forum doesn't seem to help. I would suggest to change the AT&T forum title to be AT&T/Rogers/Bell/Telus development section.
So the Telus model matches the AT&T one as well? Us Canadians could really use some clarification...
I know I rooted my Rogers one using the instructions in the AT&T forum, not sure if that says a whole lot or not though.

Perhaps to simplify the development sections should be changed to the model number. for example "i747 Development" or "T999 Development".

Tmobile thread

I think it's funny there is a T-Mobile thread that says development when all the development gets posted on the HTC one m8 thread. Why is this? It's very confusing at times

I feel the same way at times..
I agree that there.shouldn't be a t-mobile or att thread due to cross GSM compatibility. I think though it's not entirely useless as t-mobile does have WiFi calling

As does nearly every international Sense ROM. AT&T actually has other devs and power users so their forum belongs...ours is useless. Nothing but teenagers and noobs here. The rest use the international forum.
