Hello,
You have two possibilities:
1. To unroot/relock your bootloader, update via RUU or thru menu- settings-about- software update
2. Update your bootloader to version 1.36 and then use every cutom JB rom you like. For this search in the forum in section Android development for bootloader update tool.
If I was you I would choose 2.
Regards and Happy NewYear!

Please, i need a working link to get a version 1.36 to bootloader, you have it
Thanks soo much

First read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924003
[TOOL] JB FW Easy Flasher & Fastboot Toolkit *Update Dec21* hboot 1.31/1.33/1.36/1.39
With this tool you will upgrade the hboot of your phone to version 1:36. This is needed to have because this is the hboot number for your CID- 044 and with it you can use JB ROM. Read carefully the first page and if you have any questions asked them before go to upgrade.
After it's clear for you how to upgrade hboot install the update tool to your PC and go.
If it's not clear or you have doubts just ask your questions here.
Regards.

I suggest you restore your HOX to stock rom, stock recovery, and relock bootloader.
Then download RUU from here http://www.htcruu.com/securekey.php...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_296434_signed.exe
After finish RUU update, you will have the new bootloader.

I don't think it is mentioned on the website. (Couldn't find it myself). To get the update, you should tap (from the homescreen):
Menu > Settings > (scroll down to the bottom) About Phone > System software updates > Check now
Make sure you have at least 50% charge before you start the update. More is better.
The details of the changes after the update are being discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=994260

[q] help required htx one on orange (uk)

Hi all.
I have just received my HTC ONE X on ORANGE UK. I had it unlocked and works well with other networks.
Problem I have is:
1. How can I get rid of the ORANGE UK branding?
2. Revert the software to the ORIGINAL HTC ONE X Software?
I looked thru the Q&A and didn't really find the answer i was looking for. I am a newbie as i have always had the iPhone 4S.
I presume this involves changing the ROM? How?
A Step by step guide would be brilliant.
Thanks Kindly
I believe that you will need to unlock your Bootloader at HTCDev (which will void all warranty) and follow this thread. This will allow you to install any One X ROM you want.

Unlocking the bootloader, rooting, installing a custom recovery and flashing a custom (or official unbranded) ROM will get you where you need to be...
However, if you have never rooted a phone before this one isn't the best to start on. I would recommend waiting until some of the bugs have been ironed out, like charging in fastboot, the posibility of a one click root, or a fully s-offed process.
If you can be patient, (and the bloat isn't too bad - for Orange anyway) I would recommend waiting.
I had a rooted, s-off desire on Orange, have unlocked and s-offed a bunch of various HTC phones belonging to friends, but even I'm delaying for a while to see how development pans out.
I hate sense too.

Have you saved the recovery image in the fastboot folder on your computer with your fastboot files?
Try

that is a normal RUU, you have to run it on your PC with the phone connected, it won't void your warranty cause RUU are released by HTC... we can say that it is a sort of upgrade that must be done from the PC go on with that don't worry... does the vodafone logo appears on bootanimation or splash screen? cause if it is a splash screen you can't change that due to NON S-OFFed phone
Do I need to put the phone in some downloading mode or it must be just on?
Thanks for your reply.
Well when I turn on my phone I get the HTC logo, then that Vodafone logo and then again the HTC logo with the beats audio.

no, you can both connect the phone while is booted up or while it is in bootloader mode, but i would recommend the second one... the vodafone logo, from what i've understood, is part of the bootanimation so it is easly removable (only if you have root)
Ok, how about if I root the phone remove the logo then unroot and flash the ruu?
Is this possible, cause I still want to use the official firmware.
Thanks again mate for helping me out on this.
I used to have an SGS2 and it was way more simple to flash it.

What's your cid? (use cid getter to find out) Maybe your hox is branded. Then you are unable to remove the logo by flashing the ruu.

While flashing the ruu the cid is checked. If it does not fit to the cids its made for it won't flash.

probably you'll find your firmware upgrade in this thread but that will require a lot of time!
Ok, so i saw last night that the latest firmware + hboot is out for my Phone CID VODAP102 and ive decided to flash this firmware with hboot 1.3.6 and install the latest Ordroid Rom 12.1.0, from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836919
I was just wondering why in the Ordroid thread says that you need at least 1.3.1 hboot and when you install Ordroid it says that you need hboot 1.3.9?
Anyway ive installed it and i dont have any issue so far, just a lil change i guess that it comes with the JB.... i guess.... is this normal when you connect the USB cable from pc to phone not to get the option to choose the connection? (charge only , disk drive...etc)
If anyone have this Rom please confirm this to me.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all of you guys!!
Yes those options have been removed in JB.

I see you're using Maximus ROM how's that?
Any difference between Maximus and Ordroid ?
Right now i am on insert coin 15.0.0
All custom roms are pretty much same be it maximus or ordroid.. few of them are themed and rest based on stock look.
if you want a fully themed customized ROM with a lot of Tweaks, wait for the JB Viper X ROM

[Q] Quick unrooting for OTA question

Hi experts,
i know this is very simple for you.. please help....
i have an orange version of HOX, which i have rooted(only root, no cust roms).
now to get OTA, i know that i will have to lock the bootloader again.
but my question is... i have been reading a lot about RUU... so do i need to do anythng there??? or just lock the bootloader?
please give me specific link to download and follow...please...
BTW my speck -
HTC One X, it is the UK Orange version, and i live and use it in India.
android ver - 4.04
sense - 4.1
softwre no - 2.17.61.3
htc sdk api - 4.23
kernel - 2.6.39.4
ENDEAVORU S-On RL
HBOOT - 1.12.0000
Radio - 2.1204.135.20
CID - ORANG001
No you don't need to flash ruu
Only relock bootloader
Also if youve installed cmw or twrp so any other recovery ...you have to install stock recovery ...
And you have to temporarily unroot by using the app ota root keeper
1.flash stock recovery
2.backup root then delete it (nit the backup )
3.lock bootloader
4.install ota update
You dont need to lock the bootloader, just flash the stock recovery and unroot the rom. That's all

Or a quick search here on xda is enough ! Don't be lazy now !!!
not tht he is lazy.. i think we noobs are just scared tht we dun scre* up the phone...
i will try to find it and post a link here....
but just 1 question.... can i just install any stock recovery tht i find for HTC one X, or it need to be somethng specific to my model... for ex version, CID etc..
You need to flash the stock recovery from the right base. Like the 2.17 or 1.29 base.
And the lazy part was just a little hint that everything is really easy to find here on xda. There are enough guides to follow....check the stickies in the android dev section and you will see that everything has been covered there !
i really.. really did search for recovery img for ENDEAVORU, softwre no - 2.17.61.3, HBOOT - 1.12.0000
Radio - 2.1204.135.20
CID - ORANG001
i seriously dont seem to find it... i do find 2.17.XXX.xx though
please give me a link if someone has it.
also i will be using the ALL in One tool and i am hoping thts the best method.

i have been reading a lot of tutorials whr thy finally flash RUU, but i dont need that as i already have stock.
i just need to unroot...
so what exactly do i do here?
1 - Flash Stock recovery
2 - Fastboot oem lock
Then what... what is the step that gets it unrooted??
is locking the boot loader enough???
i hope you understand what exactly i need here.....
i am doing all this just so that i get OTA!
Thanks in advance
BTW.. i also have SU installed.. do i need to uninstall it,
also as per MarcelHofs, i dont need to lock bootloader... so just flash stock recovery, and unroot...
so hows the unroot process exactly?
Flash recovery.img
Erase cache
Reboot remove supersu app(actually just to do this step before flashing the recovery)
Reboot and you are done.

[Q] One X Restoration

Hey guys,
I'm a bit of a noob at this but I'm really stuck.
I have had my HTC One X Euro version Quad core for about 6 months. I have rooted it and installed CM10. I'm now bored of CM10 and starting to dislike it.
I really want to return to the stock rom and install the lastest updates.
I have had a look around online but cannot find much to help me with the process. Please if someone knows what I can do please post links or guides below
If you have any questions about hboot and cid I will do my best to answer.
Thanks for looking
Try this:

Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Thanks man al have a look
I have followed that guide but now I'm stuck on step 6. I have tried to flash the stock recovery in fastboot usb but it comes up saying the below
FAILED <command write failed <unknown error>>
Bootloader unlocked?
Phone in fastboot mode?
Recovery image in fastboot folder and the correct version? It should match "fastboot getvar version-main".
It says relocked? I followed Option 2 in the guide and I'm on step 6.
Phone is in fastboot usb also the version matches
Well, you do not need to flash stock rec. The RUU takes care of that too.
Sent from my One X
so what do I do now? Im a bit confused....
See this thread and download the the appropriate RUU from one of the links.
Do "fastboot getvar version-main" and grab the RUU that suits it.
There is a small guide in the linked thread too and since you are already locked, you can continue from step 4.
thanks just downloading it now. 577meg on my 200kbps connection might take a while :/
It says I cant run it as my battery is lower that 30% it has been plugged in at the wall for the last 2 hours. What can I do to charge it?
Ok so I left the phone plugged in all night. The RUU Installer gets a little further then pops up with the 30% warning again! Please help as this is my only phone and I cant get it to work
Im still looking for help if anyone knows what I can do?
The easiest way is to flash the stock recovery to the phone and then choose to power down the phone from the bootloader ...... Then it should charge properly and all the way

Thanks! Where could I find the stock recovery? Is there any guides on doing this?
My dropbox links are suspended so i can't provide one, but do a search with the xda search button. I recommend the stock that matches your main version so if you are on android 4.04 you need the 2.17 stock recovery
