Sim Unlock Sony Xperia S,Ion, Arc S - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi Everyone
Wishing you a Happy New Year.
As like the other Sim Unlock thread for X8 and X10. I am starting this for the Xperia S.
The different is this is a Code Unlock.
I will need the IMEI no(*#06#) . Make sure you have not entered too many wrong codes before ie sony has a limit for 5.
If you have entered more than 5 codes then what ever code you have it will not work.
I will be able to give out only 1 code per week as this is expensive for me to get hold of the codes. Whereas I have been giving the cable unlocks for free.
Please do not post your IMEI here, send it by pm to me.

I'm getting an AT&T Xperia Ion as a gift and I wanna unlock it before giving it so that it can be used on T-Mobile. So, my questions are:
Do you get the code for the Ion too or only the S?
How much is it? Or is it free?
Is it guaranteed to work?
You said, you can only do 1/ week, so if I sent you the IMEI tonight when do you expect to deliver the code?
Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for asking all these questions. This is the first time for me to deal with something like this or even a Sony phone...

I will be able to give 1 free code weekly as it costs me to get hold of the codes for these phones. Takes 2-3 days to generate the code. Any Sony Xperia phone can be unlocked.

Hi,
If i send you my IMEI, would you be able to get the code for my Sony Xperia S?

Yes I can do it.

There is a phone shop right next to me that make most of their money online. www.fonefunshop.co.uk - used them many times and its always been reliable - you should be able to unlock most regions

I heard a lot of bad things about this from various people around the thread and forums not just in XDA
I would not go with that company if I were you (just a feeling)

sim unlock for arc?

Hi, firstly really sorry if this has been bought up before but i spent ages reading everything on these forums as well as on google, and I'm used to modding my old HD2 with new roms and radios ect so I'm not new to this.
However, i have just purchased an xperia arc off ebay, was told its unlocked, but infact is locked to tmobile Now i could just send it back, but is there possibly a way (an idiots guide) to unlocking my phone? all i want is for it to work on my vodafone sim card. If i have to pay then wheres best/most reliable place to go?
Cheers in advance

Odds are you won't get any helpful links on getting really really cheap codes because people charge for that service. Makes no sense to give that connection away since it will only make more competition for everyone else.

If its asking your for the unlock code again, its probably because you didn't enter the code correctly the first time or the code that was given to you was incorrect.

[Q] Unlocking the bootloader

Hi,
Before stating my question I'd just like to say that I have searched for an answer to my problem, but I haven't really found anything clear. If I've missed something completely obvious, feel free to slap me & link it
Right, so basically I've been trying to unlock the bootloader for my Xperia Play R800i using the method found on the sonymobile.com website. However, when I get onto the service menu (doing all that fancy *#*#737 stuff) it tells me "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
I tried to research about this message and if I could still unlock my bootloader, and I found out that all I needed to do was unlock my sim (I'm on the 3 network). Before going and looking into whatever is needed to get the unlock code, I read somewhere that it wasn't just as simple as unlocking the sim on it's own.
From here I'm kind of lost, and have no idea what to do - any help would be really appreciated
If there's any information you need and I haven't given, just ask for it and I'll try to get it to the best of my ability.
Oh, and I'm not exactly the most tech-savvy person
Try http://unlock-bootloader.com/ it costs $24 but that's for the cost of the credit in the program used. He makes no money off of it
Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a go and see how it turns out

Just an encouragement - I had mine done last weekend. Alejandrissimo is very reliable, friendly and quick. It's well worth the small fee involved.

Ah, cool - shall definitely look into it then
Edit: Just done the service, and it was great! Thanks for recommending it.

Is sony able to change "bootloader unlock allowed" from no to yes?

I came across an old z2 or z3 thread the other day and someone mentioned they were able to get sony to change BUA: to yes, they just had to provide the phone info and sim unlock code. if thats true would this be possible with the z5p?
I really like this phone and would like to root it once my warranty is up.
Yes if your sim counter is a 0 and send to sony !!!
So theres hope for us bell users with "bootloader unlock allowed no"? Thank you!!
Hi! I did it with my Xperia V, I wrote Sony support and they sent a messenger to pick it up and changed it quickly and free. I was in Spain, so I hope you can do it too
