Bluetooth Keyboard Video Review! - Xoom Accessories

Hey guys, I have appreciated the video reviews posted here so I thought I would do one myself. This video review is for the New Trent Bluetooth Keyboard with touch pad. Here is a link to the video review
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tym3BoEhQwc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
And here is a link to the product on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-Mul...36&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=new+trent+ishuffle
My full written review is there as well. In short, its the best wireless keyboard I have used. Definitely worth the asking price of $55.
This is my first YouTube video, so there is much room for improvement. I plan on continuing to review various android hardware and accessories should you wish to subscribe. Let me know if you have ideas!

Watched the video. I am likely going to make a purchase. Thank you.

Do you know if it is also avalible elsewhere?

From what I understand, they stopped making this keyboard. It sold out right after I published my video. Sorry!

Hi
Just got mine delivered this morning (well was meant to have 2 but they sent me a Desire and an HD2 by mistake).
Anyway, I'm going to have a play and then will post up a review later.

USB DAC- Your Opinion

I don't know if there is a way to reduce the noise in the headphones. Supercurio also gave up on this. I don't see an other way to fix this. What is your opinion on this. Do you have any suggestions.
Hi, did you buy the DAC? How can it be connected to the Galaxy S II? Im interested in this solution too!
Love to have some way to make these two sing together.
I've been searching around for answers to this...
From what I can gather, there are some drivers required to allow the FiiO to connect to the USB interface on the SGS2 and accept digital (i2s) out.
However, I think FiiO, Samsung are kicking the ball back and forth on this one...no takers on the development costs to make these guys sing together.
I sent an email to FiiO support today trying to fish some answers out of them about this.
You'd thing the SGS2 market would be attractive to them...like it might be worth their time to make it work.
Perversely, I've also heard that ICS will (magically?) allow USB digital audio host mode to work with external DACs. -I'd reference the XDA link where I read this, but there was nothing more than speculation so not much is missed by failing to post that link, I'm afraid.
I'm feeling a bit impatient and sad... One of the key reasons I bought my Android was to play flac. -However, the DAC implementation is so poor on the SGS2 that it makes that capability a moot point.
Sure would be nice if we had a way out of the woods on this one...that doesn't involve buying a dedicated source like a la Cowon.
There are some links in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19495909&postcount=2185
If I find anything useful out, I'll report back here. I hope you find success!
Only thing I can think of is mass email requests to FiiO asking if they're planning anything to make the E7 and SGS2 sing together.

[Q] Any Modder working on USB Host?

Hi all
I tried to look at the major ROMs out there, reading features over features. I can t see anything talking about the USB Host mode recently nerfed on the Sprint version.
I do apologize if someone already pointed out to some ROM fixing this issue, just please reply and let me know.
If noone did it, do we have any hope that ROM cooks are going to take a look into it?
I posted here because the "Android Development" rules say that is not for Q&A, is this the right place to possibly get attention on this subject?
Thank you very much, your job is highly appreciated!
I posted something like this earlier. I'm hoping for the same too. I can't play my emulators on the screen controls. I think it's at the kernel level so someone would have to make a kernel that works with OTG.
zedomax made a video:

he's getting there! i havent used his stuff in a while, but this will definitely bring me back and eventually all the other devs will incorporate this. id get it a week, 2 weeks tops.

Thank you for the update.
It would be nice if someone fix it. This is a very useful feature and is a shame they nerfed on the latest 2.3.4 version.
However, is good "only" if it really works and doesn t break anythng else in the process.
Actually I am a bit skeptic whether "modding" my SGS2 for the simple reason on every ROM I see out there, there are a bunch of bugs involved. Something is fixed with having something else broken.
USB Host would be amazing, but i can live without and i can say there is no reason to me to mess with the original SGS2 OS because this phone just works great out of the box

NFC Micro SD

Has anyone found an NFC MicroSD card that works in our phone? I know of a MasterCard one but I would prefer a universal for Google Wallet.

I believe Samsung has some but they're only 2GB :banghead:

Brilliant find. The E4GT is officially supported as well.
Unfortunately the SD is only 1GB but oh well... that is well worth it for those who want NFC. Anyway, just replace the NFC chip with a 16 GB SD and you're good to go either way...
though losing one of those micro SDs seems pretty easy unfortunately... lol.

The down side to the moneto one is it only works for MasterCard pay pass. I looked for a hack to use it with Google wallet or as a general nfc but couldn't find one.

Especially with having so much internal memory only having an extra gig could be ok unless you have a ton of music or videos

Where are you seeing our phone officially supported? I see the epic, but not ours.
I would rather buy one of these than have Google wallet. A lot of places have the pay pass stuff in Minneapolis. The onliest place around here that uses Google wallet is footlocker.

Hi MochaCharok, Everyone,
Majority of the NFC-microSD cards generally have lower memory cap, because it is actually difficult to put the "microchips, mini-antenna (etc)" necessary to achieve the functionality into the small form-factor of the microSD, while keeping the memory high.
We have been working on that though, and have some success on higher memory capacity. After around my 10th post on the XDA forum, I'll post full details about our solution/our own NFC-microSD card, and how to get one through us.

Hi oiad, our own NFC-microSD card is/will be "general"; we also have a "Developer" option, where we will give access to developers/programmers. I'll post full details after my 10th post.

I meant to say a "Universal" one (but said "General"). I guess that means the same thing ...

Hi Moderator,
I apologize if I came of as trying to sell a product. I'm not actually. Basically, I'm just trying to inform everyone that the product is a existing product, and that our company is one of the companies who made/has the product/technology, but basically, I want to explain what has happened so far which is the reason why the product has not really been seen widespread in the market/industry. So basically, I was going to put our website link which will explain the product and our plans on how we intend to get it manufactured in bulk, and get it to the end users/Everyone, along with timeline for all of that.
Please, do let me know if this is indeed selling or trying to trade, and I will stop immediately. Thanks.

Originally we intended to post only on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...1168162&page=2.
However, on putting the full details, and providing some info and answers as to why the product hasnt reached market everyone, when we posted the message, the XDA forum refused the post saying it had "external links", and we are limited in what can be posted until after the 10th post, so we decided to search through the XDA forum, and help answer forum-members' questions relating to the NFC-microSD card, and the reason why the memory is not large, and why its not widespread yet, etc.
Please, do let me know if this is indeed selling or trying to trade, and I will stop immediately, and again I apologize if its concluded that I was trying to sell or trade. It was not my intention. Thanks.

Help Finding a Certain Case

So, I found this beautiful case on xda at this link: www .offerany.com/p-20980388298-hunterf-Ultra-Thin-galaxy-S3-Cellphone-Case-i9300-Aluminium-Alloy-i9308-Metal-Coat-i939.html
// I HAVE TO ADD A SPACE BETWEEN THE WWW AND THE DOT (Don't have enough posts )
So, after from searching, I found it for cheaper on eBay: www .ebay.com/itm/Deluxe-Ultra-thin-All-Metal-Aluminum-Case-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S-3-III-i9300-/271202882085?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash=item3f24f39225
Unfortunately, they both ship from China. Does anyone know if this case is sold from ANY supplier online that ships from the US? (I'm impatient xD)
Thanks!

Been looking into the same one. Just posted on the "post a picture of your phone and case" thread about it and got some feedback about using metal cases
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I couldn't find the video on youtube. And I'm debating whether to get one or not. Would you mind posting a link please?
