My phone is Xperia S .50 kernel

Did you try a different tv?

I'll probably do,but the point is to use my TV

I had this exact same problem, after I bought an HDMI to DVI connector to try and hook up the phone to a spare monitor, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060773
still not sure what the issue is

in service menu (test- tv out- sttings) try set resolution to SD ...

It's quite strange, but the issue actually involves the cable. With the 1.4m cable I bought, the thing worked on a new TV at the store, bot not on my '07 Daewoo(see above).Later I've bought a simple tiny microHDMI->HDMI adapter for 2$,and it worked flawlessly, except for it's quite quirky and sometimes disconnects if you move it around.Anyway,I have no idea what it is.

Portable Pocket Projector

Did you ever tried a Portable Pocket Projector like this one, with Galaxy S II ?

Or you have an idea if this or any other projector will work ?
Thanks
so no one has used a projector with SGS II?
PS: anyway the 24 euro offer for the pico projector form expansys si gone....
My guess is that it wouldn't work without some extra hardware or software. Looks like the projector takes its video input through mini-USB or composite. That's a bit of a problem because the SGS2's video out is MHL or HDMI. So you'd need a way to translate the SGS2's output to something the projector could understand.
Something like the Optoma PK-201, which has a HDMI input, should do the trick.
Worth checking out some reviews for these LED projectors first. I saw an offer for one the other day - around £15 or €17 but reviews suggest that it can't be seen properly even if you're in a room with all the blinds closed.

Any valid microUSB 2.0 cable suits any phone.. viva la standartisation!
as for me:
I use great Nokia's cable CA-101 (that was stock with my old nokia n85)
and it's shorty version CA-101D (from my GF's old nokia 5530)
yeah, and stock sammy's cable is lying somewhere in it's box xD
Yup, any microUSB 2.0 cable will suit our phone. It is standard. Even blackberry charger is also suitable for charging our phone.

Hey just need some help/ HDMI output issue

Hello there.
I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 that has been stolen. I have inserted a photo of the cable i use for HDMI output from the phone. It would work on my original galaxy note.
I have replaced my phone with a Galaxy Note 2. I have tried to use this same cable put it would not work for me. Do i need to download a app or something to get the output from the phone on to my HDMI monitor or TV.
Thanks for any help , I appreciate your responses

Unfortunately it won't work. This cable is not compactibile with Note2. I had the same problem and situation as you described. You have to buy HDMI for S3 which also works with Note2.

Thanks for the response. I will probaly order one from ebay.

I think the case is the hardware you're referring to.
Yes charging wirelessly requires either a pogo-pin or a usb-connected back-case. And I can assure you it will charge slower than a pc-usb connection
I am trying and looking for a qi charging receiver like this kit http://product.madeinchina.com/2012-Newest-Portable-QI-Wireless-Charger-Cable_14117282.shtml
FYI someone did it with a tut here http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitu...eitung-induktionslade-mod-fuer-das-one-x.html

[Q] Does your micro USB cable look like this?

My little cousin was playing around with my S4 Mini's USB cable and he connected the USB part with the micro USB one and just now I noticed that one of the things in the micro side is missing, see this picture:

Closeup:
Can you guys do me a favor and check if the second one is missing or mine is just "broken" now. Still, charging and connecting with computer works but I'm worried it may cause other issues such as establishing connections with Odin and such.
Yup, it's supposed to look like this. Read the Wikipedia entry on USB.
Second opinion reporting.
Yup mine looks like that as well.
