Yes it does benchmark graphics but my test shows cpu and memory higher than the One X, is your One X modified in any way?

Just ran the tests for 3 consecutive runs in quadrant and the scores just get lower and lower, the first run is always the highest as the phone hasnt been used but as it gets warmer the scores get lower. Wasnt aware that the Optimus was throttled similar to the Nexus 4

I am NOT really fan of benchmarks cos this LG is fast as HELL websites loading flaming fast and apps too
Today I was measuring speed on H+ ( 3 network ) and I had max 11Mbps amazing unfortunately NOT in my hometowm different town..

Quadrant is not a good graphics performance benchmark. You want Nenamark or Antutu for that.

My F180K got 8000-8200 points in quadrant and aprox 16000-17000 in antutu

How come i have 6300 only then?

Maybe:
1)Overheating
2)A lot of apps in background.
3)F180L software bug
8200 isnt really a lot, cause DNA makes near 8600 points (With full HD screen) and new Xperia even higher with full hd screen and same CPU.

That's cause Quadrant is a bogus benchmark.

Not really, cause in Antutu xperia reaches 20.000 points, which is far from 16.5k of my one.
And again, xperia has same cpu, 2gb ram and full hd resolution
And the DNA did, if i remember correctly, 18k points
Btw official JB is out, gonna bench again right now to check if there any difference
---
Hah, 5900 in quadrant. I want to shoot LG developers seriously
Now i understand how nexus4 did that low scores, unlike optimus g the stock was 4.1 and 3.4 kernel

Now I got this..
So it is NOT like fix score it is balancing depend of mobile status .. EXACTLY Tim4

but i must disagree with this your post!
lg is great now E973 is the BEST !
And + when i will be updated to jelly it will be MEGA BEST

We will see
Anyway, on 4.0.4 my quadrant score was used to be 8000~ points
On todays JB update only 6000 points~
But visually, i see no difference in speed at all.

Exactly, benchmark and, even more, Quadrant specificaly is not a precise way to test between two devices.
You'd have to, at least, install a vanilla AOSP to compare, since even the customisation of every manifacturers can cause a lot of change.
Ironicaly, a GIU which utilise the GPU to optimise smoothness on the devices would get a lower score on benchmarking, since the hardware is partly utilised by the system. But the "lower score" would mean a more pleasant experience and more fluid navigation. And, since the processor is powerfull enough, this wouldn't cause any latency in other applications or games.
I think it's more important to look for lag in different applications than to bench and check for numbers. Like when browsing in the gallery, playing games, installing apps or browsing Play store, etc.
Benchmark is a good tool to check for optimisation on the same device, or to compare if certain changes can cause sludge, like adding an apps that stays in the background.

holy balls those are some high scores..... really dont look into the "epeen benchmarks" since last year... because all it takes to get a higher score is multiple runs and tweaks to the fps/ext4 system
but alot of you hope showing your quadrants/linpacs would get you laid...... lol just playing (i had to)
but damn man those SMOKE the evo 3d on its BEST day/kernel.... and to think... many have said (even my self) that they have the same performance.... (i owned a E4GT since launch and sold it a few weeks later) cant wait to get my white one tomorrow!!!!
blendz rom gunslinger kernel @1.6 set at performance but just started running really buggy after
Didn't do quite as good on this one. its fun to just play around and try and improve your score.

OK besides that I ran no UV Lionheart and 816/216 auto brightness array that's tuned a little dim for my own build. WiFi timeout 15 minutes. I get an average from gsam of a little over 8 hours though that's optimistic.

It beats the hell out of the a100 for sure. Kicked the a100 out the door, it wasn't good for much besides a door stop after the nexus 7 and the 10" thrive.
You gotta give the a100 props though. It was one of the first 7in tabs not to suck! Evolution took it a step further and the base design of this tab has reoccurred in a few places, RAZR Max, notice the corners, some other grabs have the camera there. This tab was, is and will continue to be awesome. Besides the crap battery and the random bricking which has essentially stopped, as far as I know.

Yes its a decent tab that is still quite usable, but having a nexus 7 makes it useless in thus household now and has been moved to a new home. It had its good and bad points but for me for every flaw the a100 has and even those that devs had to correct because Acer wouldn't, means I will never buy an Acer product again. Google devices for me now as I don't wish to continue being forced to create new ROMs for a device because the manufacturer decided to ditch it.

I believe its possible to go faster. But im trying to find that happy medium of what works with battery and useable performance for my needs.
Do i know i can go faster, ya, but my point is to not kill half the battery with one benchmark, lol
I wish i had a stock score for comparison,i supposed if i looked..lol
Sent via G2x on temasek b135.2 w/faux kernel v54
I know it goes faster, mine did its just not usable in that level of tuning plus its a huge strain on the hardware to push that far, 1.7 GHz is a 70% push in speed and voltage increases are getting scary at that point. Benchmark increases become smaller in relation to speed increases as well, meaning we're exceeding its safety range. Same for GPU oc, pushing it much father doesn't yield much more for benchmarks either but adds more strain then is really needed. What good is a tablet running over 5k in quadrant if it can't run on battery more then a couple hours?
Tapatalked from my Nexus 7 - Kuroikaze AOSP
Sick nasty benchmarks. I did a benchmark on my old phone, not a quadrant but a geekbench. It scored a 10... in comparison, my a100 scored 1200... the dual core along with the fact its a tegra and coupled with the gig of ram make for all around good experiences on job. Imo

shouldn't make a huge difference of 3k, though...
looking at the scores, your 2D and 3D rendering scores are absolutely awful. yikes. your 2D score should be over 1k and your 3D score should be in the low/mid 2k range. quadrant is a subjective benchmarking app because it takes all of your scores and kind of creates an average, this is why it is not hugely reliable sometimes and also why scores are plummeted
looking at your other scores, however, they are extremely low as well. your mem score should be around 11k, while your CPU score should be around 10K, and IO should be a little faster than what you are showing as well.
i would say your system is being bogged down by another process while you are running the test.
quick question, what ROM are you running?
also, a way to tell if this is indeed a performance issue, and not just quadrant being quadrant... is to download a graphically intense game and play it.. if it skips and lags and jitters a whole lot (which i know was happening during your rendering tests based on the terrible 2D and 3D scores), then there is some issue there. if it runs fine, then simply put, don't worry about it.

Is your phone hot when you test? If so thermal throttling may be in place.
But from what it seems it seems like some sort of throttling is in effect. I would recommend another ROM and if it's still horrible you have a bad chip and warranty may be your only option.

Well the more tweaks and overclocking and the more and more crap I have running on my phone lol is why I was way over 4000. It says what's your secret... I wouldn't even know where to begin. Start with Perseus kernel though. But seriously would even getting 6 or 7000 Really be a good thing anyway? I mean running every tweak and tweak app and overclock isn't really healthy for your device overall imo. Don't get me wrong I love how fast this thing is but lots of times you end up screwing something up and have to start from scratch.

I disagree that benchmarks mean nothing. They measure speed and performance which is what I want out of my device. To each his own but they mean everything to me. Some worry more about battery life which is fine but obviously not performance because it would adversely affect your battery.

What a benchmark does is measure how well your particular device does in that particular benchmark... It tells you nothing about real world life of opening or closing apps or about interface lag. Battery life is something real, a bench like this tells you nothing apart from how well your device does on it.
Benches are fundamentally about epeen.

I guess what I'm saying is I don't care about battery life because I bought 3 extra batteries and a wall charger so it's not an issue for me and performance is what I want. Yeah maybe benches don't say much but I'm into speed so I like to just have something to compare it too.

HTC One X benchmark results CPU lower then other HOX

Hello users,
Today i downloaded and installed some mods at my HTC One X, and i was thinking: what is the performance boost i get with this? Well here are the results:

The total score is higher then the original HOX, but my CPU!! Its lower then the HDH!!!!! How can i fix this. I'm not going to OC it. But i might install some mods that give better CPU performance without OC.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Tim

Thats true, but its lower then the default device. I have the option wake cpu enabled in avast. Will that do the trick?

Yeah but thats because these benchmarks whitch are there for comparison were performed on phones with boosted software so dat the scores are higher

OK, so synthetic score is lower...OMG end of the world. For a start that is a cherry-picked score.
Have you noticed a stutter? Any delay in opening apps? Game frame drops?
On paper my significantly modified HOX is slower than a stock HOX...in REALITY it blows it away completely in every department when using it.
Also, what on earth are you using Avast for? All 10 of the possible nasties you can catch on Android? It is a CPU hog of the highest order.
Get a hold of AFWall+ from the store and use the built-in IP rules firewall through that.
Well i use avast the most part for the Anti Theft app. I can disable the scanner and the cpu wake thing, and do the benchmark again.

are you running custom or stock rom? and which kernel more information please....but okay benchmarks aren't saying anything because it's for those who don't know much about phones to tell which could be the best...in reality our phone is faster then other which should be faster then our...
Stock rom stock kernel

I re-iterate my earlier questions/points...
Have you noticed a stutter? Any delay in opening apps? Game frame drops?
THAT is the ONLY metric that matters.

yup that's right
Have you got the latest update of the Quadrant Standard App? They say they fixed a bug in CPU core detection.

Jip i think so. Here is an example of HOX (look at the white one) with 10 pages of apps, and higher score in CPU: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swq39HXrHBA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I have the quadcore version of the HOX

Download epic citadel and do the benchmark from that and tell us the score
That is the only benchmark I've come across that tests the gaming performance of a phone well
