Hiding Status Bar - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I've tried Gmd gesture..Sucks..Makes phone reboot.
Anything else worth trying?!

Use PACman or PA and there's an expanded desktop option in the power menu which hides the status bar.

Not sure what to try..They usually just distort.
I tried the voodoo volume app, it said the kernel wasn't supported so i'm not sure.. sucks.

Nova, ADWex, GoLauncher.... Most 3rd party launchers have this option.
I'm using PA roms on my ET4g and GT10.1 and use Nova Prime launcher on both. Love being able to hide the status bar on both, makes it look nice and clean.
Here's my main screen on my Tab. I have Nova Prime setup so when I double tap anywhere on the screen the status bar and notification shade drops down.
And here's my main screen on my ET4g. I have Nova Prime setup so when I swipe down the status bar and notification shade drops down. And when I swipe up the dock pops up or down.
Just makes for a super clean minimalistic look.
On a side note, I'm glad I checked this post out. Going to try out that app for the volume issue with JB roms. I've been using DSP on my Tab, it works but not 100%. And it doesn't work at all on my ET4g...

i havent noticed the volume bug in a mean minute. but voodoo louder fixed it for me when it was running rampant, without distortion while volume+ and whatnot made it louder, but with crappy quality
i think i havent had it since i switched to paranoid android a while back. but know i run PACman rom and i know for a fact i dont have the volume bug. though i do still use voodoo louder over volume+, though thats just my preference

I've been following the developer of ParanoidAndriod rom on Google+ for a few weeks now and this was just discussed a few days ago.
For what I've read the status is visible in most apps because the app its self calls it when we open the app. The developer said it may be possible to bypass this but... Then the discussion started to go way way over my head.
But what I gathered... It has to do with a lot of coding and scripting with in the the framework of the rom. So I think it would take more than the launcher to achieve.
But... I just flash other people's roms and know and understand just enough to do that right and safely so...

How are you hiding your status bar in Lightning? I've tried, but it always seems to come back... for instance, someone replies to a Google+ post of mine... it shows back up...

great work.
May I ask, if it's possible to MOD the statusbar and notifications completely upside down.
That is, similar to android 3.0 tablet, statusbar always displaying on the bottom, and swipe up to open notifications with widget toggles also on the bottom.
I think that's even more convenient swiping up than down as the screen becoming bigger...
Thanks.

How to easily force navigation bar

Real simple
Change your DPI to 213, or what ever you want. I'm at 280. I get the nav bar, status bar stays at top. I prefer a home soft key.that bottom is different.
Add these 2 lines to the bottom of your build prop
Save and exit
Reboot
Bam
launcher.force_enable_rotation=true
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

Very nice work sir. Don't use the battery bar too much but the black status bar looks sweeeeet.
I'm being a little OCD in saying this, but why is there a 1px thin white line at the top of this? It annoys me to the point that I don't use this. For me it really throws the whole clean feel of this off, especially since the line doesn't even extend all the way to the end of the bar but cuts off about 70% of the way for some reason.
Was it an intentional design choice? If so, may we have the option to remove it?

[MOD] Modified Touchwiz Home and App Drawer (UVBMB4)

Hello-
I've made some modifications to the latest (official) TouchWiz Launcher for the T-Mobile Note 2. For some reason, I prefer to try modifying stock components before moving to a different app altogether. I'm still working on centering the all apps icon, but for now, here are some of the specs on my current launcher:
5x6 Homescreen
6x6 App drawer
Icon shadows removed
Labels on dock icons removed
Page indicator removed
Non-scrolling wallpaper
This is just how I prefer my launcher, but I am open to requests. Also, please note that not all widgets are compatible with all grid sizes, but I was able to modify the email apk to allow its widget to be resized to fit my grid (highest default is 4x4).
Be sure to fix permissions after flashing and do a cache/dalvik wipe.
Would it be possible to get a 5x7 for the homescreen layout?

For me the biggest reason I don't like using the stock TW launcher is because I cannot resize widgets properly, only widgets that allow resizing will work. Otherwise I'd love to use it, especially because of page buddy and all that jazz. Nice work here though!

I think for the most part, it's the tw widgets that are the root of the resizing problem. What I mean is, it's actually the touchwiz apps whose widgets are limiting the resizing ability, not the launcher itself. I could be wrong though, just speculating.

Thank you, Jay, for pointing this out. Didn't even cross my mind.

For me, it's the scrolling wallpaper that keeps me from using it. If you can get that, I will stop using Nova and start using TW.
Thanks for your hard work.

Wallpaper scrolling is on by default now. Is there a particular grid layout you prefer?

Nice guys & congratulations on the milestone! Thank you for all your hard work too, You make our phones fun to use!
This will be my first go at an AOSP ROM, on this device. Very excited.
Can anyone who has sprint as their carrier please verify if you have the ability to send mms. I still get the no apn specified error on Gummy. Everything else works great, but no go for mms. As I stated before, this issue existed on other aosp roms, but has since been fixed.

Xposed works. There is also a wanam kit specifically made for AOSP ROMS. Not sure why you would need it though. These guys baked it all in!

Any insight How's it running for everyone?? , want to make the jump but just got everything smooth with my current setup...
Beast Note 3
Running very smooth for me no issues so far besides no NFC which I'm sure they will have fixed soon enough. Battery life is excellent no reboots. Never realized how much I missed stock android

It's running very very well. In my opinion this is the smoothest & most stable AOSP build on this device. Battery life with baked in kernel is great as well. I highly recommend giving it a try & if for some reason you don't like it you can always go back to your current setup, but I doubt that will happen.
Anyone getting Screen freeze when you take pictures? I have tried the New google camera and A better camera, both freeze after taking a picture.

Ok Thanks, I will give it a try again and see what the issue might be. Thanks for the reply.
How do you get the LCD density to stick? I've selected and tried a reboot and it always resets to 480 DPI.

Select it let it reboot automatically and it should stick. It does for me.

Hmmm...when I select it nothing happens. No prompts. No reboots. Tried it several times.
