Three Musketers (Benjamin (Benjamin.j.goodwin), David (Shingers5) and John ([vertigo]) for compiling this awesome ROM for our beloved Sony Xperia S.
CM for base, Paranoid teams for creating this ROM and Sony for the awesome features and theme!

Three musketeers presents Paranoid Android for Sony Xperia S.
Android 4.1.2
Paranoid Android version 2.57
Compiled from latest CM10 source (That means it's much more stable than previous versions).
Android interface… The way you want…
PER APP COLOR. Newest Paranoid invention. Choose the colors you want, for whatever app you want. Want your status bar to be blue on Facebook? You can. Want it to be red on Flipboard? You can. Create whatever combination that suits YOUR taste. Or let the Paranoid Preferences do it for you.
To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true*Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

I'd say, clean install to be on the safe side since this one is Hybrid.

if u r talking about this one:
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
then yes) i dont have this issue, or didn't notice before)
I believe he is talking about the modded product ID lines in the build.prop to make A500 games visable to us A100 users (for some reason a100 is not compatable with a bunch of games).

If you want to load games optimized for A500, it is enough to replace a line in build.prop:
ro.product.model=A100 -> ro.product.model=A500
all other necessary modifications are already present there.
Thanks for all quick replies. But I am not talking about A500, even though the issues are the same or similar.
I have many useful apps that I can find on my android phone (GB), NookColor (CM7) and Touchpad (CM9) but not on the A100 device. I tried all ROMs (stock, your ZN version, CM9 and this one), they all have the problem.
One example of those missing apps is:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwyLDUwMSwiY29tLmNoYW96aC5pUmVhZGVyRnJlZSJd
I cannot think of a reason of incompatibility since it's a simple eReader
I love it! Maybe this is the excuse to unlock my tablet
>Tapatalk @ Acer Iconia Tab A100
I love it! 100x100

Fabulous my tablet and can not go faster and smoother 0 problems thanks: O: O: O
I am trying this out now.
The ring displays correctly on landscape but does not on portrait. Some of the Google should be included, like Gmail. I flashed gapps but it did not include gmail.
Since your concern was to have green for android which is a Google OS maybe go ahead and include the Google apps especially Gmail. Thanks. So far it seems to operating okay. We will give it a week and see what it starts doing.

my concern was only about the color of android - the creature created by google..can't get any connections with gmail here
There is some other problem with this rom. A bunch of my gplay apps are coming up as incompatible now, even ones that require no special permissions.
I think if a rom is going to made that is regional it should be posted as such.
Sadly I am going to have to flash another rom.
I had hopes for this rom, maybe if the devs stick with it I will try again in future.
Thanks for your effort.
Hey ZN I installed your stock theme zip and was wondering if there was a way to get that cool wallpaper you have in the pictures on the first post...thanks

Hey ZN and Igcmn...I notice that sometimes when waking the tab up from sleep mode or returning to the homescreen it tends to automatically go to landscape mode....and stays there...won't flip to portrait....i either have to reboot for it to work (in which it will return back to landscape) or if I try other things (games that only do portrait etc) then i t will work

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Turning off HW rendering for these applications eliminates the white screen bug. As a side effect, the application UI will become a bit more laggy - feels almost like gingerbread. It's also important to know that some apps might crash when HW rendering is disabled for them. If reboot doesn't fix crashing then keep HW rendering enabled.

I followed my standard pre-flashing procedure but after flashing this ROM it doesn't go past the bootscreen. I waited for 20 minutes but still the boot screen kept turning off for 1 second, then coming on for about 5 seconds, and repeating.
Is anyone else having this problem? If not, what might I have done wrong?

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode.
1.Make sure you're on the latest TWRP/CWM.
System Partition:ALL THOSE HAVING BAD BLOCKS PLEASE KEEP SYSTEM PARTITON ~220mb
Code:
misc ya 1M
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 210M
cache ya 2M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
2.MAKE A NANDROID!(OPTIONAL)
3.Wipe data/factory reset in recovery.
4.Flash ROM
5.Flash Gapps
6.Reboot
If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT:
1. Stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
2. Explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
3. Collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Hi,
For those who want to try NATIVESD and flash gapps.
1.Download gapps from gapps-jb-20121011_NativeSD.zip - 90.33 MB
2. replace file mount_NativeSD.sh from inside the zip with file attached (rename mount_NativeSD.sh.txt to mount_NativeSD.sh first )
3. flash zip from recovery

no it doesnt exist yet
and there is a big wifi issue on hd2 4.2.1 roms that probably requires
a new or ported kernel

For me is biggest problem Data Drops, someone said that is because of MAGLDR - there is something wrong, did you hear about it? I don´t know what to do with magldr beacause there is very very old update.
Thanks
hello, to upgrade from version 2.54 to this, just change the name of the zip to update? or may not be updated and should be installed again erasing the above
thanks

If you have any problems please follow this instructions:
How to submit a bug.
First of all read the bugs section on our website. If you're bug isn't mentioned then proceed.
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it.
Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem do you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function flash now just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this .
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).
If you come from a stock Sony firmware image please flash this kernel before via fastboot:
Attention: your bootloader need to be unlocked to flash a custom rom like SlimBean.....a good step by step tutorial you find here:
http://androidlegend.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-sony-xperia-s-lt26i/
after that you can go ahead with the next steps below

1. Download:
(Kernel from OFFICIAL release build 2.5)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/106208842/boot.img
2. Turn your phone off and hold the volume up button and plug in your USB connection and wait till the LED is getting blue
3. Terminal command to flash:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. Reboot your phone and wait till your LED turns violett....in this moment push the volume up button and you have access to your custom recovery
5. Connect your phone with USB and push the downloaded roms and gapps to your phone now with the terminal command:
adb push <filename> /sdcard/
6. Wipe data/cache/dalvic, format system, flash the rom and the gapps and you are finished
last one
Downloading..

you have twrp with the OpenSemc kernel? Known issue of the kernel from RaymanFX which is solved in next version (btw this here is already the new one from OpenSemc).....grep the boot.img from my build and flash it via fastboot and you are fine. Then flash rom as usual.

Looks really good (am still sort of reloading all my crap)... but it does seem a bit miniturised - wondering if this is something i would fix by adjusting the dpi settings.... what value would give a 'normal' XS look - I am guessing someone has played with this kind of thing more than me...

thanks - i feel pretty stupid - I hadn't actually pushed the options - I assumed i would have to type a value - I didn't realise there were only three choices...lol...all sweet now - running exactly like the other two 4.2.2s as far as I can tell... odd graphical oddity, but pretty solid... this one has benefit of more configurables....which i personally love!

Well you can to 320 dpi settings by navigating to Interface >general > LCD density> select option no.6 and then you can select 320 and dont worry it's a standard dpi so you don't have to follow the other 5 steps.
Can someone put ROM on another server? I.e. mega.co.nz or dl-h-st? Default slim server is blocked at my workplace. Thanks

Update dirty flash put this in boot loop (I know better just do it to test).
Clear data clean install and this runs great going to give it a test drive around the city today. I'll update later however so far this is great!
Wow! Definitely wanted a upgrade to 4.3 from 4.1 was using as DD but have to say very impressed. My DD has more customization however this is awesome straight out of the box.
Can't wait to see how it is off WiFi and around the city that even sprint techs say our coverage sucks.
Thanks!
