[APP]Jedi Master Kitchen v12.1[Aroma][04/20/13] - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Jedi Master Kitchen
This is an Aroma installer that contains several options for kernels, modems, and all of the apps removed in the base Jedi Master ROM, and a few other requested apps, all of which are available singularly in Addis' Jedi Goody Bag
*Please note: This is prepared specifically for Jedi Master, NOT Jedi X. Different bases are used and you may run into issues if you try to flash these on Jedi X. I will be doing a similar Aroma installer for Jedi-X in the near future.
The aim here is to provide a single flashable zip using the intuitive touchscreen features of Aroma to allow the user to select as many apps/features as they want, without having to flash them individually.
Standard Disclaimer:Though I have personally tested this and it is working on my device, I can not make any such warranties or guarantees for anyone else flashing this. As with anything else we flash, You do so entirely at your own risk. Standard stuff guys, always make sure you have a backup handy in case something goes wrong, so you can restore if need be.
Renamed to v12 to keep consistent with Jedi Master naming convention.

NO need to wipe caches, the installer will do all that.
Flash the ZIP- Aroma Installer will run and you simply navigate through the various screens selecting your options to flash. Not sure, I haven't tried installing over another theme. Just make a nandroid first to be safe. If it fails, then try flashing Jedi-Master over top of itself to see if it fixes it, the try reapplying the theme from the stock ui. Best I can suggest, sorry.

Had to pull the link while I fixed a bug :-/ The first link for V2 that I posted would install the theme whether you wanted it or not, LOL...so I had to fix that Sorry for the trouble. I've fixed it and tested it, it's behaving correctly now. So as soon as its done re-uploading, will post the new link
Sorry gang.

Ok, new link is up with the fixed version. Sorry again gang.

Thanks for a truly handy program.
The version is still listed as a V1 as the script runs, probably just not renamed the, but it might confuse someone.
Also, it would seem better to me if all the extra programs were unselected by default, or if a button could unselected them all, so if one is just flashing a modem or kernel it will be simpler and no risk of installing them all inadvertently.

Yes, just a typo on the version line, I'll correct that with the next update. I will also set the apps to unchecked by default. Thanks for the feedback!

Another Great Looking Rom!
Thank you for sharing your work. Team Infamous never let us down... Will report back.. again Congrats and Good Luck.:good:
Looks good, I like the theming of the power widgets in the notification menu. Great to see Nova included in the ROM (my favorite launcher) Eugene's CPU sleep script as well. Nice touch.
I assume since this is based on T-Mobile ROM that it will have wifi calling and some T-Mobile apps? Just asking because I am on Telus and the T-Mo apps and wifi calling don't work for me and drive me nuts with constant notifications.
Will TDJs Darkside Touchwiz kernels work on this ROM as well? Or are we better off sticking with the kernel provided with the ROM? Peace. And great job.

Shouldn't have that many of TMobile apps. Haven't had time to test wifi calling but it should work.
Give his kernel a shot. Not responsible if anything messes up. Report back if it does.

Thanks for your reply. Wifi calling doesn't work for us Telus users regardless if it's enabled in the ROM. I just constantly get a wifi calling and visual voicemail notification saying it doesn't work or install a special sim card or something like that. Or at least that is what happened in the past. How would I completely disable wifi calling? Which apps should I remove? Thanks.

I don't think you'll have a problem actually. Try it out. If wifi calling notification is there then more than likely the wifi calling settings app will do the trick. Try freezing it first instead of uninstalling

Haha okay. Also a note to everyone, updates will be made following updates to the tmo

Note 2 JellyBean Spell checker *FIX* !!

I have been searching high and low for this mod and I have not found a solution until I Xda member : dwitherell offered to help. All the credits goes to him. As many of you may know, Samsung, in its grand wisdom, decided to remove the native ICS+ spell checking function (red lines under misspelled words AFTER you typed) from all their Touchwiz roms. This fix restores this function.
dwitherell:
"The files in that zip are pretty specific to our phone though, so I'm not sure how many would be interested. The two files that were modified were SecSettings.apk (the apk that has all the options and what not you see when you go into Settings) and framework2.jar - both of these tend to be pretty phone and even base build specific - which is why I made sure to use the UVALK8 stuff for this for you. That being said, most of the differences between UVALK8 and UVALL4 are elsewhere so I would imagine this to work on the newer T-Mobile base."
I am currently running this rom but other UVALK8 based roms should work:

[CLOSED] Beta Android 4.3 US & CAN | Deodex & Odex | Now Rooted

READ THIS ENTIRE POST PLEASE
PLEASE PROCEED TO USE THE 4.3 VERSION LOCATED Android 4.3 JWR66V
UPDATED ROM IS MUCH MORE STABLE AND BATTERY LIFE IS GREAT.
Thanks to everyone for testing/using this one until now
This ROM comes from I9505 variant.
Luckily the only thing you will need to do is apply Loki patch if you require it for other ROMS.
If you are a CAN variant you can simply install the ROM with no other issues or steps.
IMPORTANT
User reports suggest that battery life is much better as well as working google wallet in the odex version, root should work for both.
Google Play 4.1.10 : Please manually update Google Play to prevent gps/maps battery drain, download apk and install as usual
There are two FactoryKeystring.apk's included and actively used by Android System, one is hidden and one is in System/app, removing one seems to improve battery life (must have root)
Do NOT change Dpi you will loose root and you will loose wifi. You have been warned.
WARNING
As always, i'm not responsible for your phone blowing up or bricking. Hell this is completely pre-release software that Google hasn't even published yet so you better be sure you're ready to take the plunge and accept that anything can happen and i assume no responsibility. this is all your choice.

WHATS DIFFERENT IN 4.3 FROM 4.2.2?
- Roboto font has been cleaned up see here
- "android.hardware.bluetooth_le" listed as a feature in the Android System Info app, suggesting Bluetooth Low Energy support is on-board in Android 4.3. This feature isn't listed on the Google edition GS4 review unit running Android 4.2.2
- Bluetooth tethering is present in the 4.3 ROM, while it's absent (bizarrely) in the 4.2.2-based GS4 GE unit.
- A new checkbox under Advanced Wifi settings allows Google's location service to scan for Wifi networks even when Wifi is turned off and not being used for wireless networking (likely part of Google's new approach to battery-friendly location services)
- Multiple options under "Monitoring > Profile GPU Rendering," as seen in this Google I/O video.
This lets you view a graphical representation of the time taken to generate a frame, and see whether you're hitting the 60 frames per second target or not. This should help devs create more buttery apps.
- New debug options for the new non-rectangular clipping feature. This is a new graphical capability for devs in Android API level 18.
- New option to "Use experimental WebView" (this likely changes the browsing engine used to handle websites within apps, but has yet to be confirmed.
- There is now a button that lets you "Revoke USB debugging authorization." This deletes the RSA key generated for USB debugging authorization from the phone itself, previously you had to do this from the computer side.
- Pressing menu in the phone app, lets you now add two-second pauses in your dialing string (denoted by a comma) or longer waits (denoted by a semicolon.)
- In the Settings of the phone app, you can now enable dial-pad autocomplete and change DTMF (dual-tone, multi-frequency) tone lengths.
- Of course there's the new camera app.
- Long, multi-word SSID names now wrap properly down to a second line in the quick-settings pulldown.
- When you take a screenshot and share it via email, the Subject field is automatically populated with the date and time of the shot.
Thanks to :

Wrong, completely wrong. It will just need to be a pre-loki'd kernel (i've posted a link to one in the OP)

Right then, downloaded ROM and AOSP kernel provided in OP. Wiped, flashed, wifi is a no go for me and same as camera, totally borked (black screen). LTE works...everything else seems to work.

[ROM] Stocktimus - Odexed and Deodexed -5-3-14

May I present to you....
Stocktimus Series
Why?!
Even if we, by some MIRACLE, (Yeah right LG/Sprint By summer 2014. HA!!) get updated to Kitkat, there seems to be enough interest in another stock based ROM.
This is just a good base to make a Stock ROM the way you want. Just add the zips in Post #2, if you prefer. (WIP)
What this is...
This is just a stock Rom with some Tweaks built into it. If I didn't see an improvement, it wasn't added. It also has apps moved to /data to make it easier to remove what you don't want.
4-20-14 Stocktimus CE -"Custom Edition" added - This one is customized. See Below
You install this at your own risk!!! But really there shouldn't be any problems.
Install
Choose your flavor: Odexed or Deodexed, or CE
In either TWRP/CWM recovery wipe, /system, /data, /cache, and /dalvic. Just DON"T wipe "internal data". That's your SD
Bootup, depending on which ROM, may take up to 4 minutes. The apps from /data are installing.
It never hurts to go to Settings>System Updates, and update profile/prl
Special instuctions for both versions are in their sections.

Special instructions:
First boot can take up to 4min. Be patient
On first boot, to stop LG Keyboard from FC'ing, you'll need to go into Settings>Language & Input, and enable Google Keyboard
If you want LG Keyboard to work, you'll need to run Xposed framework. Info and thread HERE
When it boots up, turn off Wifi. For some reason it always turns itself on when first booted up.
Then go to Settings>System Updates and update Profile, PRL.

Stocktimus CE - 1.5
Just a flashable update. This will wipe /cache, /dalvic and init.d scripts. So if you've added any extra scripts to your init.d, you'll need to add them back.
Before flashing, turn off "Eco-mode"/"Quad core control". This update now has scripts to control the CPU/GPU for better battery and the same performance. I've tamed Viper kernel.
I would recommend NOT using any app that will modify CPU. ie Trickster Mod. I made this because Trickster's settings wouldn't stick

Extras and add-ons - Will update these when I get time - (WIP)
Wifi tether settings:
Device Profile>Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Enable Wifi Encryption
That's what I use and it's always worked
And remember, EITHER wifi or Tether per reboot. So if you run one of them, then you need to reboot to use the other.

If you want your phone go faster. (Not quite sure how to put that :silly
Go to Settings>Developer Options, about half way down there are 3 settings to adjust timing. Windows,Transition, and Animation. Try those on .5. I just set the Transition one to .5 and I works great for me.
_____________________________________________________________________
Before you do any of the following, make a nandroid backup in recovery!
Kernels:
Stock ZVC - Built in with init.d support. Here
Evolutionmods CodeCraft - this is what Viper kernel is based on - Here
Viper Kernel o/c&u/v - Get it and read it Here
Trickster mod was what I've used with the kernels. But no matter what I tried the settings will eventually change. Using Viper 1.0 or 1.1

4X5 Home Sceen- gets rid of the google search bar and gives you more room on the screen - Thanks to Lrod0175 - 4X5 Launcher Works with Deodex.

I'm running actual stock right now. If you want I can pm you a dropbox of the stock boot ani.zip I know you have to set permissions for it to work correctly. And sorry op I didn't mean to hijack the thread with my longass response.
