i have a LG KS20 phone with chinese ROM and i want to change it to english so badly.
q1, is there any english rom available at the moment? if yes, where to download?
q2, if yes for above, how can i change it?
q3, how do i backup the original chinese rom; just for warranty in case?
I dunno, but I wish you good luck with finding a eng rom. In january I wanted to buy a german LG KS20, and wait for a rom, but now I glad that I've waited and got a Touch XL.

Please don't duplicate threads....This can make a lot of confusion...There is an entire thread about KS20 flashing, and if you had read it you would probably have seen that there's no english rom available at the moment!

I am new here and I have been snooping around. This is a great forum.
anyway, So on tuesday I recieved my rogers HTC touch diamond with a 3 year term extension. The phone came in WIMO 6.1 FRENCH. I was a bit pissed because I'm pretty sure that I specifically asked for the english version. After reading another forum post, it seems another user ran into this issue with rogers. they don't seem to carry the phone in english.
I wanted to return the phone but then i stumbled upon xda developers and hard spl'ed the phone and loaded new roms on it. the thing runs pristine now. I am in love with this phone. I do want to keep it but I dont want my 3 year lock-in with my carrier.
So, I was wondering if anyone has a dump of the french version rogers rom for the diamond? this way i can revert it back to manufacturing defaults and return it within my 30 day trial window and then just buy one BNIB off ebay or someone off howard forums.
can anyone help me out here?
I also got a French ROM on my Rogers Diamond. They do have english versions as well though. If you do a search you will find a link to the english Rogers ROM.
My guess is that they would not check if the ROM was supposed to be french or english. They would just check that it is a stock ROM and spl.

To restore back to orignal state,
1) Flash the OS ROM
2) Flash the original radio
3) Flash the original splash screen
4) Finally, use the Soft-SPL method to change the HardSPL to the original Rogers SPL
5) Return it

the contents of the box have french documents. I hope that they dont clue in
well I guess I'll give that a go. I hope they they dont charge me the $200 policy for used or damaged returns. but if they do its worth not having to lock-in for 3 years.

I just dowloaded and uploaded the above mentioned ROM on my P3700.
The ROM itself is absolutely flawless in the looks and feel!! Only problem though, is that the thing's in Dutch!?!?
(sorry for not noticing the 'NLD'=Netherlands before I installed!)
I would very much appriciate if this ROM could be re-released in US-language.. Is it possible to do that? I tried to change language manually, but it didn't apply for all functions.. I have come to the understanding, that it has to do with the language of the ROM, right?

Does anyone know where to find a Finnish stock ROM? I bought my phone in Germany and if I fill in the device serial number at the HTC website I'm only allowed to download a file named "TouchDiamond_German(2.03.4.07.3)". That sucks

I've runned several different ROMs, currently aFast v2.03. I just need to have a unmodified Finnsih stock ROM right now for some other reason, if there is one?
I just downloaded the latest Finnish original rom, but i don`t know how to share it whit you. Allso i made my own 6.5 finnish rom, but it is not so perfect but it works Mukavaa nähdä muitakin meikäläisiä täällä.
There isnt finnish STOCK rom at this time, but you can install .cab file for finnish touchflo 3D

This phone mount windows mobile 6.1 english...i want to put in windows mobile 6.5 in italian, i try to load the rom in italian, but i lost time...because the rom is different (english/italian)

If you are flashing a custom ROM, you MUST HARD-SPL first. It is a little scary the first time you do it, but fear not, for XDA is here to help. Please see here for more details...
