Non US Users: change app store location - Windows 8 Development and Hacking

Just a suggestion for non US W8 users: changing the location in windows control panel is the simplest way to change the store from outside the US, having more apps available. You can't buy apps, but you can download the free apps. You don't need to change language, numbers, ecc, just location.

Will try this! Thanks!

Works really well I now have photobucket, anymore app suggestions.

If you like your social media apps then Norto Satélite is worth it, only available from US store

Why are you saying I can only use free apps? I bought Pin Steam and everything went ok.

Well I tried it and it would not let me buy a paid app in US store since my email and account is UK based

Bank of America for Tablets

Would any one be so kind as to post a copy of the the " Bank of America for Tablets" apk? It won't allow me to download it from the market.
Something just feels scary asking for a Banking app on a public forum. Its extremely easy to tamper with it and give you a malicious version... I'd watch out with requests like this.

I understand the risks and appreciative your concern. I am not planning to log in. Just trying to test the UI with Nexus 7. I do check to see who it is coming from (reputation). Thank you though.
The app launches, but when I login it just hangs at a black screen
I've been looking for that app as well :-/

Here you go.

Can someone post current version. Also to address safety concerns if you have safe pass enabled for every log in no one can sign in without a code being sent by text to your phone... So kosher...
Are there 2 separate versions? I have the BOA app on my N7 it works great. Is there another version besides the one I got on play store?

Yeah there's the bofa app for phone and one for tablet. Tablet let's you use myportfolio and has some enhanced features. The app available in the market for the n7 is the phone app.

I found this link
https://www.bankofamerica.com/online-banking/android-tablet-banking-app.go
Where you're supposed to be able to email it to yourself but ive done it twice and it wont work. Why does the Play Store link say our devices aren't compatible when we're using tablets? Lol
Edit: T_T got the email, it literally just links direct to the play store again. What a waste of potential.
I'm also looking for the current APK. The older one linked here installs fine but unfortunately BoA has updated their app so as soon as you try and open it the app sends you to the market for an update and since the N7 isn't compatible, won't let you download.
Last updated Dec. 12 BofA apk

This kinda sucks, just picked up the new model nexus 7. This is my first tablet, and I was kinda excited to see the difference between tablet apps and phone apps. Both American Express and Bank of America won't let me download their tablet versions. American Express won't even allow the regular mobile version either!

Can't you connect through a proxy?
dear i am same situation but when i use hotspot shield from (1 market)its like a google play every thing goes better. try it
http://www.anchorfree.com/hotspotshield-VPN-for-android.php
it also for pc
Many people use anonymous proxy server, obviously finding that ability to change their IP address for free is worth the risk. You should try it.
Simply use DROID vpn free free 1GB us server... It will unlock full market with books magazine movie and music no need to use market unloker or anything else
Cheers

Market Enabler Paid Google Play Store

I've installed an app called Market access, same as market enabler but ad free. I've set my sim code to 310380 AT&T in the US. I currently reside in China where there are no paid apps. However, when I opened the Play Store, there was only Apps ( however paid ones too ) ,no music, movie or books section unlike how I remembered the last time I returned to the US. Am I doing anything wrong?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Isn't market enabler ad free as well?
You need to use proxy app and the proxy server should be located in USA. You can use DroidVPN from the market, and you will get the full market, then you can disable the proxy app, however, you would need to re-enable it once you reboot the phone or delete the cache.
Even if my phone has the sim emulated to the A US carrier, must I have a US Ip to access books and music in the store. Somehow I do have paid apps on the store but no music, books or movies. Can anyone explain this?

Yes, you do need to have an IP address of USA to have: Music, Books, Video and Devices to appear to you. The only thing that is not controlled by IP and is only controlled by the carried ID are apps.
All other Google CONTENT is controled by IP address.
Regards,
Santroph.
Thanks a lot! Cleared up my mind.

But still if you want to actually purchase any books, musics, movies, etc., you will need a US-based credit card. Except for apps, from my experiences apps can be purchases with any credit card.
Also, you will have to stay in the US IP in order to actually read the books, or the movies, (not sure about songs) that you just bought. If you try to open the book with a China IP or HK IP in my case, it will show the book cannot be read...

If you want to read a book bought through the play store you can do this from anywhere if you have selected to keep it on the device, did this yesterday when I was in Hungary for the day (only apps available in the play store there). Not sure about books you own in the cloud as I had selected to keep the book I was reading on the device ( a Nexus 7 in this case) because I wanted to be able to read it without a network connection.
