What should i ask for my gs2? Only had it a month or so and it's in perfect condition?

Depending on your area it could be anywhere from $350-$450. I would check eBay and Craigslist and go from there.

Swappa.com they're still high. when i got mine it was $395 around Nov/Dec, i was lucky. however, they like $450.

Well the thing with selling used merch, is it obviously has to be significantly lower than retail for the buyer to have incentive to take it. The phone retails for $530, so I would say around $400 is probably a good price to aim for. Considering that you've only had it a month and it's in perfect condition, I bet you can get something decent for it (depending on demand in your area). But if you get too close to retail, the buyer would just as soon fork over the extra 40 or 50 bucks to get it brand new (or at least I would).

Yup. I had 2 NIB I just dumped for 750 for the pair. Had to since I just ordered a Galaxy Nexus. It just depends on your local market how much its gonna go for. I had my mint few week old posted on Cl for over a week and best offer I had was a damn dog lol.

southern Florida Miami area we have ALOT of resellers (including myself ).. I usually sell them for $420.. got low balled the other day for $400.. not bad considering i get them for $100+the discounted price..

but yeah, the commuter for this phone is awesome. screen protector sucks, too small due to curved edge i bet, but really though, its TOO small.
Waiting for that glass screen protector to come out, the only way to go i think.

i have a cheapie matte screen cover on mine. it looks real nice. just waiting on my atomic green otterbox... i guess the colors dont come out till mid july... bummer... but that color was bad ass... reminds me of the hulk!

Just picked up my Otterbox Commuter from BestBuy in N. Olmsted OH. ... there were 10 still available after I got mine.
Very nice case.. however, the screen protector that comes with it needs work.

Could someone fill me in as to why Otterbox is so popular/what advantages it has over other cases?

Can someone take a pic of the otterbox laying on the table empty with the galaxy s 3 by it so I can have a idea how much thicker it is than the phone itself.... I want one but worried it will be too thick.

They balk at the extremely reasonable price for being completely contract free for nearly, and at times, half as much money. yes this, and always feels quite odd, that i use pre paid and have an up to date phone more so than friends that just signed a two yer contract for the new "hotness" Never agian will I sign a contract. With the explosion in arm chipsets over the last year, I feel this phone will always keep up with me. I always used to flash roms to try and make it run better. This phone I'm running buglessbeasts almost stock rom from when jb came out. Have not felt the need to try anything else(I will once cm10 becomes RC1)

I love how cheap plastic holds up to abuse than other materials on cell phones.

The Plastic is high quality. Phone feels solid and it holds up very well. I don't know why people knock it. I have felt far cheaper plastic.

I've had the case for about two weeks, and I have to say that I'm very please with the case. Especially since I got it off of amazon for $20 shipped free. Sturdy, and has a lip so it protects the front of the screen from scratching when face down.

Amazing choice. I've had mine 3 weeks. You're going to love it.

This seems to be the number one complaint. But I've been reading how their customer service is excellent. People are getting replacements no problem.

True! So rather than close the thread we should switch it up into something productive. For example:
· Why you would recommend the UAG
· Why you chose the specific color UAG
· Or post a picture of your S3 in your UAG
This way it doesn't turn into a copy of the other 1, 000+ thread but we still get to see the case owner's participate. Just an idea.

That is common, specially the white version. Their customer service is top notch. They sent me a replacement. Just file a claim form, send pictures of defects/cracks, wait for response. They will send you a code. That goes into the coupon box, at the checkout page. Place order. Total 0.00 with shipping.

Yeah, I watched the live stream on Android Central. I didn't think I'd want it, and I'd wait until my upgrade in may but hell I want it! So I'm getting it off contract that way when my upgrade does come if anything I can't wait until the next one!

Does the Note 3 have a RGB display like the Note 2 or does it have the Pentile display like the S3 and S4?
If it has a RGB Display it will be hard to not get. I sadly can't get it because I'm putting all my extra money into helping my parents get by right now.
It's going to suck that I won't be able to get it. I'm already depressed and once it's released on T-Mobile I'll be even more sad. It's such tough times right now and I love phone. Having the Note 2 was great but after seeing what the Note 3 can do and all of its features, I'm just so sad. I know it sounds weird but having a good phone really.. Nvm.. Gratz for everyone that can get the Note 3.

Yeah they're just toys pretty much. Not much of a necessity since the D710 kicks some serious booty still. I'm probably not even getting the note 3 on release date since I can hold out for a while with my D710. I love this phone so I can only imagine the power of the note 3. That faux leather battery cover is hideous though. I'm gong to replace that asap and stick in an extended battery lol.

Amazon is a big one. But that is usually around the time all the carriers come or with a buy one get one... I an thinking family plan style, since i have two phones that expire same time. But Amazon is notorious for the $0.01 sales from end November-x mas.

The funny thing is I just insurance claimed for a new S2 (well refurbd), It does everything I need it too....except LTE. The saving grace is that my area never received wimax, nor does the city I'm moving too. So I don't "need" a new phone, until the city I move to gets it.
I really wanted the S4 active, but I just don't see moving to at&t just to get it. Now, there is a company that will "waterproof" your phone. I may use the spray on water repellent (rustoleum maybe?) on my spare S2 parts phone to see how well it works and then do my new s2. Theres a video on youtube of someone doing an EVO, but not doing a professional job and it was effectively waterproof.
I miss having a stylus based phone (coming from the Touch Pro 2 and ppc6800), but the note 3 is large, maybe too large for me, but man would it be nice to have such a large screen for games and media. Plus the true multitasking and windowed programs looks badass, that is the next step, specially someone liek me that used to carry a small laptop around.
My concern is having the thing in my pocket, in jeans when I sit down it would probably snap the thing in half. Also using it one handed while driving, maybe a smaller dialer and localized controls for google maps and such. When gmaps released the new update without zoom buttons...what a terrible experience.
I also don't want to waste an upgrade waiting 2 years for a good phone to come out. Now that phones are getting really expensive, you kinda have to time it better. I'd love to have as S4, but I'm glad I still have my upgrade right now, on the other hand a used S4 is still $450 on craigslist, so you can get your money out of it still. But a non-contract note 3 is probably like $800, and $300 for contract, I may just get one based on the savings.

You will probably be able to pick it up under one of the prepaid programs out there once the hype settles down.
