Perhaps you used the wrong kernel. Use flashtool to flash the rom stock gingerbread so you can re-use the phone. Then slowly try again to install the rom looking for the right kernel

Reflash the stock ROM, and don't wipe data if you install CWM through X Parts.

As above, I can only assume that the ROM you installed didn't come pre installed with cwm.
Plenty out there that do....jj's hybrid is nice.

Use SEUS to flash stock firmware if you did not unlock bootloader, or flash stock firmware .ftf file with flashtool.

[SOLVED] Phone bootlooping (R800a, 3.01 Turbo Kernel)

I was running PACrom perfectly fine, I made a TWRP backup. I was trying to install AOKP 4.2.2 (which appeared to be successfully installed) and now my phone is bootlooping at the "Sony Turbo" logo, or it hangs there. I can't seem to reboot in to TWRP recovery either (power + VOL up at blue led). I tried reflashing the kernel in using fastboot tool but still the same result. Can't figure out what's wrong :/
Have unlocked BL w/o fastboot menu.
EDIT1: I also tried flashing the stock FTF for the R800a (4.0.2.A.0.42), and it's still stuck at the exact same screen (Sony Turbo logo). Which leads me to believe that it did not even flash the stock kernel.
EDIT2: Alright, nothing was working. So I decided to use the Sony PC Companion to "repair" my device. It's working now booting in to the OS (2.3.4), so I'm gonna try reflashing Turbo Kernel 3.1 and see if I still can't boot in to recovery.
EDIT3: Reflashed Turbo Kernel 3.1 successfully using FTF and Flashtool and am back on PACrom

ion keeps losing recovery

this is my second ion and i've had the same problem on both. randomly my cmw recovery just goes away. i'll try to boot into the recovery and no blue led shows up and i end up having to flash recovery again.. this last time it disappeared in the middle of flashing a rom in the aroma screen... went to a sony bootscreen and i ended up having to reflash stock on flashtool

Update your busybox.
Unfortunatly ION doesnt have kernel based CWM, if you flash a new rom, you'll lose your CWM.

[Q] Help with existenz rom.!!

i wanted to install @niaboc79 's existenz ultra rom v2.. so..
i went according to the process as it was said
i did flash my phone with sony's latest firmware .2.67
i have a locked bootloader.
rooted and installed cwm.
then i put the v2 of existenz ultra rom in my internal storage..
wiped data, cache and dalvik cache..
installed the rom.
then when i pressed the reboot system now.. it said that rom may flash stock recovery on boot fix?
first i tried with yes, but it got stuck at the sony logo and would not go further.
again i did the same procedure and this time i tried no. but still it is getting stuck at the same place..
plz help... how to i get this rom running...
flash latest ftf for ZL, root then install CWM, now download existenz rom "v2" put it on your sd card, go to recovery flash the rom... you don't need wipe because you had installed ftf and it delete all (make sure no field is checked while flashing with flashtool)
i used that rom without problem... CM 10.2 now
ok so now i am on v1 of the rom cause of many tries i made it woukd still get stuck at the sony logo.
v1 installed without any problems..but don't know why the v2 is not..
any suggestion on how do i upgrade now without going into the bootloop again..:fingers-crossed:

Problem in installing custom roms

i have problem in installing custom roms in xperia s. I have unlocked the bootloader. i tried install paranoid 4.6 beta4, carbon-kk-unofficail and pure AOSP lollipop. All roms installed as per the instruction, but every time i got bootloop in all roms. In case of paranoid 4.6 beta4, i flash kernal which included in rom, than flash rom, after that phone boot correctly and rom runs fine, but wen i restart phone get bootloop then no CWM and no rom. In all that case i flash stock rom using flashtool to get work back and try different rom like carbon or pure aosp lollipop, but no luck. Roms which is not required unlock bootloader runs fine. i was using trinity vengence rom, which was running smoothly. before that i was on Ultimate BlackXS Ultra v1, which also runs fine but not stable. Currently i am on trinity vengence, ULB, rooted.

By bootloop do You mean stuck at boot animation or at Sony logo?
Following cases are normal:
1. 1st boot : It will continuously show You the boot animation for about 10-15 minutes. This is normal as the apps are getting settled in background.
2nd boot: will be stuck at Sony logo for 10 minutes. This is also normal. It is some kinda bug, but phone start after 10 minutes or so.
I installed both roms carbon and paranoid 4.6 beta4 properly, but pure AOSP lollipop not installed, got blank screen after flashing rom and kernel.
