[Q]Photosphere Alignment issue - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hey folks. I've searched in xda and other forums (including mighty google), but none of the answers resolved my problem.
I've had 4.2 camera and photosphere was working perfectly fine Time had passed and I decided to use it again.
Problem is that I cant align blue dot in Landscape mode as well as portrait. I have to chase the blue dot and when I finally get it, screen starts to flicker and nothing happens. I have tried on 2 different ROMs and yes I did factory reset.
I found some folks saying that If you put your phone on a flat surface for few seconds it will resolve the issue, but it didnt work for me.
I'm gonna be traveling overseas and would love to capture my trip experience with photosphere. Any ideas how to resolve this? I dont think its a gyroscope issue (hardware).
Thanks in advance.

Bump!
Attached video. Can someone suggest of a possible fix? I've tried 2 TW ROMs +1 CM10.1 ROM, same issue.

Orientations sensors seem broken. How to check if the problem is Hardware/Software?

Hello All.
I was using a few ROMS and get use to flash my device.
Since a few day, I was really happy with the CyanogenMod "nightly" and that was a very great ROM.
Since 2 days, the orientation seem broken and all the applications using the accelerometer ( Augmented reality, all the menus don't rotate anymore, etc.) doesn't work.
I cannot rotate any application.
So before sending my device back to the shop and waiting them to repair it, I would like to know if it's possible to check the sensors and know if the problem come from the ROM or if that's a Hardware problem.
Thank a lot for any informations.

Try to calibrate the g sensor in settings. See if it force closes.
Try playing that teeter game. Can you still roll the marble about?
If none of these things work it sounds like you should back up and factory reset. If the problem persists its faulty hardware. Sorry.

Ok, a wipe corrected everything.
Thank a lot!

[Q] Microphone Issue

Hello xda members! I have been experiencing a strange problem with my "T-Mobile G2"'s microphone and would like to share it with you in case you had any insight on it:
My phone's microphone is not working - I cannot use voice input, music recognition services, etc. all it picks up is silence. What makes it a "strange" problem? Well, the microphone will work during calls, but ONLY IF I first snap out the keyboard and then snap it back in! Sometimes the microphone will fade out and then go silent again, at which point I'll open/close the keyboard again so that the other party can hear me again.
I thought it was software at first, but then I flashed it to stock and still had the same issue. Now I'm worried it might be a problem with the ribbon cable that connects the two halves. Have any of you ever heard of a similar problem? Any suggestions as to how I might fix it?
If it is intermittent and you reflashed then my guess would be hardware like you suggested.
Most likely you mic is loose. Does it behave the same as opening and closing if you just hit it or shake it?

Thanks for the replies, I honestly didn't expect any! Interesting thing.. I flashed MIUI yesterday and now it feels like the problem is fixed. I've noticed a slight lag before the mic responds the first few times but now it's spot on. I don't see why flashing to stock didn't fix it while flashing to MIUI did so I think it's just a coincidence and that this is still a hardware issue.
I'll try and poke around explore this more when I get more time.

Yup I did use superwipe.
Incidentally, the issue returned after 2 days of working perfectly. Doing a wipe and then installing that same ROM fresh (not a backup) did not fix it so that new most likely ROM had nothing to do with it. I'm giving up then and calling this a hardware issue, period. I guess it's a good thing that the HTC One phones are are coming out soon!

Photos show rotated when taken as portrait

Hello all,
So I've searched for this issue before, and while I've found others that have the same problem, nobody seems to have found a solution.
The issue is that when I take a picture in portrait mode, and then either try to MMS or send to my PC, the photos end up rotated on their side. I noticed that when I open my camera, it looks like my phone is rotating to landscape. I have tried resetting auto screen rotation, but no luck. Anyone have any idea about a solution to this? My wife's S3 does the same thing so others MUST have the same problem, I'd assume. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Just take photos in landscape. They come out looking normal. It's a known bug. I don't think there's a setting to change it.
Since i rooted and flashed new kernel and rom never happened again

this happens when i have Auto Rotate function turn off. I just turn it back on and everything is back to normal.
I didn't know that about auto rotate.
How many articles have been written about the pitfalls of taking pictures in portrait? Just don't do it

auto rotate not working correctly!!!!

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster!! I love this site, you guys have helped me out with so many problems, except one I cant seem to find an answer for :/
I have a sgh-t989 or tmobile galaxy s2
I had rooted firmware on there. I then flashed ics on it. and thats when my problems hapened. My gyroscope or something does not work correctly anymore. If i turn my phone sideways it takes a minute for it auto rotate. If i turn it upright itll rotate after literraly 2 or 3 minutes. and most of the time if i have it upright,it will rotate to the side :/ i have flashed back and forth hoping it would solve the problem. have done the calibration. everything. im back on stock 2.3.6 now and still having problems.
Can anyone please help me I need help
Maybe it's a hardware defect? A faulty accelerometer?

I believe you will get your question answered quicker if you ask it in a forum corresponding to your device.

Moved for better assistance, Thank You.
I too am having the same issue since flashing to Jelly Bean. Auto rotate seems to have a mind of its own and rotates when I do not want it to or worse it is 90 degrees out so when I have the device in landscape the screen rotates to portrait
Any clues would be a great help...
Did u flash skyrocket rom?
I'm gonna go out and say unless you flashed something you shouldn't have then it sounds like a faulty accelerometer..

I remember having the same issue. I went to some AOSP rom, had this issue, and it was really annoying me, so I thought it was a ROM issue. I went back to ICS and still had the problem. I think I fixed it by wiping everything I could on my phone (Factory, cache, dalvik, internal, external) and then restored to ICS with ODIN, then calibrated it, and it worked.

[Q] Touch screen disaster, post Kit Kat 4.4 install

I've had this tablet for about 3 months and I have had problems with the touchscreen since it came out of the box. The problems that I had experienced were similar to those experienced and documented by the rest of you. Now, after installing 4.4, it simply does not work! Specifically, the screen will not detect a swipe gesture. This is exasperating. I have gone through multiple courses of trouble shooting and have restored the factory settings a number of times to no avail. I'm a newbie to this forum and this is my fist android. 1) is anyone else experiencing this? 2) Is there a fix? If not, I want a new tablet from Asus; this is insane! Thanks everyone
I do not own a nexus 7 (yet), but check this thread
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428133
Dark Spark is right, this person: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543909 had the same issue and ts10 fixed it.

I am the person who helped red_ferrari007 fix his touchscreen which stopped functioning after 4.4.
I suggest you do the following:
1) flash the JSS15J factory image available here:
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/razor-jss15j-factory-2e08b83b.tgz
2) boot the ts10 kernel from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428133
Those are the exact steps we used to get his tablet working.

Not seeing the issues you described with 2 of my N7, 16GB and 32GB.
Normally, you should return it for a replacement.
Why spend so much time if it never work from start?
Good luck
