I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom Jelly Bean ROM for the Nexus 10! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs
MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs are based on CyanogenMod nightly ROMs. While a MCR release is designed to feel like a stock ROM with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience and the aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device, a MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROM blends the great tweaks and features of CyanogenMod with the goodness of a MCR to hopefully create a 'best of both worlds'.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have a custom recovery installed. The ROM is installed at your own risk. A wipe IS recommended if coming from a ROM other than MCR or stock. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
MCMCR Nexus ROM features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Based on CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies (the aim is to update the ROM every Friday), updated, rebuilt, compressed and optimised with the MCR build system.
For this MCR we've compiled a CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly build, updated with all the latest versions of the installed apps, which we've run through our scripts to ensure that it is as optimised as possible both for install / download size and real life performance.

De-odexed... re-odexable.
Our ROMs are de-odedex, giving you the ability to flash other mods over the top, tweak the system and generally get the system set up as you want it without worrying about odex issues. We also include the 'OdexMe' application, which lets you odex your system when you're ready, saving valuable space on your data partition.

Pre-rooted
All MCR ROMs are pre-rooted with SuperSU preinstalled. In addition, the kitchen allows you to choose between secure, insecure and secure with patched ADB boot images.

Apps aren't disabled on boot
Jelly Bean added a feature to disable apps on boot that aren't intended for your region (Wallet, Ears, Magazines etc.). I think we're smart enough to make that decision ourselves right? So that doesn't happen in a MCR.

Legacy Play Store
Isn't it frustrating how Google removed the ability in the Play Store to see which apps you'd bought in a nice simple list? I thought so... so I created 'Legacy Play Store', which has this feature.

Legacy browser and Flash
Google might be ditching the stock browser for Chrome and Adobe might have canned Flash, but we still need to use it sometimes... so it's included in a MCR.

We've patched Google Wallet to remove all region and root checks, so you can have a play!

Google removed all support for syncing contact information via the Facebook app, we put it back. It's basic support (an app like HaxSync is more fully featured) but hey, it works!

Trackball Alert Pro compatibility for custom notification LED colours
Trackball Alert by lilHermit lets you choose custom notification LED colours for ANY app, with no impact on battery life. We work closely with lilHermit to ensure TBA is supported in MCR.

Changelog
Please see the post below this one for the changelog.
Installation
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your sdcard.
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to the internal sd card! Remember that due to the 4.2 user changes, you may need to change to the '0' directory in recovery to find the zip!
If you have problems with Market licencing, check your device date!
First boot may take a while - be patient while it carries out it's pre-dexopt. It's worth it!

Support
If you have a general question, please post in the topic.
Thanks
It's impossible to mention everyone who contributes to the Android community by name, but to everyone out there who does great work and shares it with us all - you have my gratitude and respect.
Future Updates - READ THIS!
By providing this ROM I am not guaranteeing that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact that I have a large number of devices for short periods of time, it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not donate / sign up on the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).
And finally...
Details on how to donate should you wish to do so are in the download topic at MoDaCo.
Enjoy!

r7, based on the JDQ39 / 4.2.2 release, is now in the kitchen!
Since this is a COMPLETE rebase, it'd be great if kitchen users could test it before I create the prebake. As always, once everything is confirmed OK, i'll put up the prebake.
Enjoy!

Does this support photosphere?

I've just made a small update to the kitchen - this fixes a FC issue with Play Store services and also adds the Ovivo Mobile APN.
Would anyone be interested in a kitchen option to fix AdBlock again for 4.2.2? This is technically a security hole, but i've had at least one request.

Welcome to SentinelROM for HTC One X (endeavoru - Tegra 3 Only). Compiled with the Linaro toolchain from modded CM10.2 source. Android 4.3
This is one of the most popular ROMs for Nexus 10 and Nexus 7, and after a month of hard work and optimisation, I am happy to release it for HTC One X.
This ROM is compiled from CyanogenMod 10.1 with all the features you get in a CM10.2 ROM, plus the following features.
Compiled with the Linaro toolchain for extreme performance.
Zip Aligned
Compiled from latest CyanogenMod 10.2 source by me, not a 'cooked ROM'.
OTA Updates supported
Improved Web Browsing performance
Improved 3D gaming performance
Amazing battery life
Additional theming and UI customisation
FAST support via this page and our Facebook Page
A free copy of my music player app
________________________
This ROM has been built to enhance the CyanogenMod 10.2 experience, with faster gaming and web browsing performance (no choppyness in Chrome too!).
Countless hours have been spent making tweaks to settings to squeeze the most performance I can find out of this ROM while still providing excellent battery life and without the dangers of overclocking and kernel level tweaking.
I compile this ROM and Kernel from the latest CyanogenMod source code, add my various tweaks and adjustments, then test for stability, so you get all the benefits of CyanogenMod 10.2, plus my tweaks and extras, all without the instability and inconvenience of flashing CyanogenMod nightlies (which are not designed specifically for the HTC One X like my ROM is.
The kernel source is available from the CyanogenMod's GitHub.
Requires HBOOT 1.29 or newer.

*Some users have reported ADB via USB not working. It's not actually a bug, but a difference in the way ADB works and the drivers required for CM vs SENSE based ROMS... If this is you, follow these steps to get ADB working..
Plug your phone in to your pc.
Open up device manager (Right click computer -> Manage -> Device Manager)
Find your phone in the list.
Mine was initially under 'Other Devices' labeled as 'One'
Right click -> Update Driver Software...
Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
Make sure to uncheck 'Show compatible hardware'
Select 'Android Phone' then 'Next'
Select 'Google, Inc' on the left pane and 'Android ADB Interface' on the right pane. Hit Next
Hit 'OK' if there was a warning.
To test if ADB is working, launch a CMD prompt and type 'adb devices'
You should now see you phone in the list!!
p.s. mounting your sdcard should also work.

If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed (personally I recommend TWRP, I have had issues with restoring backups using CWM).
Copy the downloaded SentinelROM zip to your Internal Storage.
Boot into your custom recovery
Back up your stock ROM
[*]Boot into bootloader (power + Vol down) and enter Fastboot mode
[*]Extract boot.img from ROM zip and flash via fastboot [fastboot flash boot boot.img] (there are heaps of guides on how to do this)
Enter custom recovery
Factory Reset and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
Wipe System partition
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS package
Reboot - the first boot can take up to 5 minutes
Important: After installation you will be asked if you want to turn on CyanogenMod Statistics, please leave it off as this is an unofficial/modified build.
Note: Use of titanium backup to restore apps and data from another ROM is not recommended, and is the source of 90% of user issues, especially when it comes to battery life. Do so at your own risk.
You may flash other kernels as you wish via recovery. Remember to also flash the correct libraries for any 3rd party kernels. Instructions will be given by the Kernel author. NOTE: Updating the ROM via OTA will also overwrite any custom Kernels you have installed.

Hi tc, for some reason all aosp based roms are in original android development, I think you should consider moving your rom there
Thanks for your work

This ROM isn't AOSP based. It's CM10.1 based.

If you turn on "Sweep2Wake" under settings, they stay active when the screen is off, otherwise they turn off when the screen is off.

That's not what I meant. . . If you used sense based roms you can see that the capacitive buttons are accommodating according to the lighting condition around you... Turns off in bright light and turns on in dark areas...
Ps: this behavior is only working on ICJ by LorD ClockaN not any other aosp or cm10.1 based rom even the official one.
I had a talk with seadersn in his rom thread but I couldn't solve it.
That's what I meant.

Oh right! Sorry, I misunderstood.
No, they don't automatically light up in dark conditions. they light up as soon as you touch them. You can also choose to have them off all the time, or light up with notifications.

Yes that's I know but I don't like the rule of all or none... But I hope you could check that... may be you can help solve this issue for all the users of cm10.1 and FYI it's not kernel related.

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo Custom ROM for the Honor 5X KIW-L21!
READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo Custom ROMs
MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs. A MCR release is designed to feel like a stock Emotion UI ROM with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device.
This ROM is part of the 'Unified Honor ROM' project - ROMs with the same changes are available for all current Honor devices.
A MCR version with a more 'stock Android' like interface is under development.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have a custom recovery (e.g. TWRP) installed. The ROM is installed at your own risk. A wipe IS recommended if coming from a ROM other than MCR or stock. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
Features
Based on the B330 custom ROM starter template (you may use MCR as a base for your own ROM)
ROM fully optimised with the unique MCR scripts
Updated power management policies to reduce instances of 'missing notifications'
All apps in ROM updates to latest versions (a considerable saving of over 1GB on /data!)
Busybox installed
sepolicy patched boot image ready for root
selinux permissive
Removed 'icons' from /system/themes (themes no longer need to include default icons again)
MoDaCo Custom Kitchen (coming soon!)
Multi user support
Multi window support
Preloaded Stockify theme stub
Numerous other small refinements - please see the gitlab commits for full details
This ROM is completely in version control at gitlab! https://gitlab.com/u/paulobrien/projects
Want more tweaks and changes? Post your requests in the support topic.
Changelog
Please see the post below this one for the changelog.
Installation
You should install this ROM on a device that has previously been updated to the B330 release.
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file from the links below and copy to your internal / external SD card.
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to the SD card.
Important Note: As this ROM is partially deodexed, first boot can take a long time. If you have not wiped, you can check for any issues with adb logcat. Be patient!

Very well tankyou.....
Release r3 of the ROM is now available in the first post and will be updated in the kitchen shortly.
By popular request, from r3 the rom is deodexed. This makes it easier to tweak and hack apps or framework, which will also increase the scope for mods going forward (I have several in development). This makes Xposed compatibility easier too - if you flash Xposed, edit the build.prop first to set hwtheme=0 and you should be set.
Again, by popular request, this ROM now has selinux set to permissive.
Finally, as always, the latest updates have been integrated into /system saving you valuable space on your data partition.
Important Note: As this ROM is deodexed, first boot can take a long time. If you have not wiped, you can check for any issues with adb logcat. Be patient!
You should install this ROM on a device that has previously been updated to the B130 release.

What is the diffrence between this rom and the stock one in terms of smoothness/batterylife. Would like to see an optimization for CPU clocks mine seems to scale up when it is like only 30% in load.. I mean i dont need 1.2Ghz and 1.5Ghz when browsing.. Stock rom doesnt seem to listen to init.d scripts in terms of CPU tweaks. Would love to see some of these tweaks!!

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!

Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

SECURITY ADVICE
Don't flash ROMs or Magisk modules which set SELinux to permissive or you welcome malware on your device!
UPGRADE LINEAGEOS
If you're running LineageOS 15.1 you can simply flash LineageOS 16.0, upgrade the firmware for modem etc. and be done. There is no need to wipe the data partition, just clean dalvik and cache after updating LineageOS.
UPGRADE FIRMWARE
Grab the Sony Stock firmware using e.g. XPeriFrim. You should always flash the firmware matching the LOS build.
Grab newflasher and put it in the same folder as the firmware files.
Read the newflasher original post on XDA for general instructions!
Remove the follwing from the folder so they won't get flashed:
all *.ta files (keep the one in the boot/ directory)
cache*.sin
fotakernel*.sin
kernel*.sin
persist*.sin
system*.sin
userdata*.sin

Turn off your phone
Hold the volume down button and attach it via USB to your system till you see LED turning green
Run newflasher from within this directory to flash the remaining files
You can say yes to the first optional step, in case you dont have working drivers installed.
Skip the second optional step (dumping of trim area), it's useless if your bootloader is unlocked already and takes a long time.
How to get root?
Flash the su addon from LineageOS you can find here: https://download.lineageos.org/extras
Google Apps
You can download and install the Google Apps from opengapps.org. You need ARM64 and 9.x. I suggest to *always* use the pico package. If you need additional apps you find them in the Play Store.
Privacy Guard for GApps
I wouldn't run GApps without Privcy Guard. Here is what you need to do:
Go to: Settings -> Security & location -> Privacy Guard
Open the advanced menu (3 dots) and select: Enable by default and Show built-in apps.
Search for Google Play Services and turn it on by tapping the entry. A long press will give additional options. There are more Google Apps you should turn it on and revoke permissions like the syncing stuff.
FDroid
This ROM comes with FDroid and the Privilege Extension pre-installed.
MicroG
This ROM doesn't support Signature Spoofing. However we are watching MicroG and check if they provide newer builds e.g. for Android Pie.
Simple Mobile Tools
This is a collection of really awesome Open Source and AD-free Apps! Don't get confused by the name! Especially the Calendar and Gallery app are really good! If you like his stuff, support him by buying the Simple Thanks app.
You can find them in FDroid and the Play Store.
Known Issues
Some apps don't work (Gardenscapes, Die Zeit, ...)
When an app is installed then it should ask for Permissions on the first startup. However for some apps this doesn't happen. To fix it you need to go to Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> See all apps -> Select the App -> Permissions. Now manually activate the required permission, normally the Storage Permission is missing in that case!

For now, this thread is only a placeholder. A preparation for the "XDA-official" release of LOS16.
Edit: Ha ha, RC0 released already. Download problem solved then.
RC0 released ...
If you coming from stock don't forget to update to latest TWRP 3.3.3 and also to mount system and advanced wipe it. Working really well on this end thanks for the great work devs
I'm very happy lineageOS 16 is ready! I will flash it when I know more of its battery drain, stock Android 9 sucked a lot in this when I upgraded my phone and I decided to go back to Oreo (lineageOS 15.1,that's better!)
Just added back the stock camera and addons. Everything seems to work fine.

May I ask, which stock camera you are referring to? Stock Sony or stock LOS?
Thanks!

Sony stock camera, including (super) slomo, etc.. The LOS one was included already.
Blowing my mind @Derfelot . FYI running the extract-files.sh script leads to lots of files being irretrievable. Using the cryptomilk repos, will try pulling from the un-sin files today or tomorrow.

Brilliant! Already included in download-ready RC0?

Yes, only the pinned files are in the vendor repo as usual. You need to unsin and extract ramdisk/system/vendor from stock and run the script on that.

No, it'll be in next release.
So, it doesn't work well for me.
I came from 47.2.A.10.45 stock (unlocked bootloader), wiped the system partition, installed it and it boots fine.
Then it struggles to get any mobile data (T-Mobile DE), before that the Gapps first installation wizard won't look for Wifi.
After that it loops at "Setting up..." until the screen gets brighter and hangs itself completely.
Not sure if I borked something beforehand or the Gapps 29. April 2019 is borked.
Probably the first option.
Sadly, I can't provide any logcat.

i am relatively sure that you need to format data (not just wipe) in twrp if you come from stock. so you need to backup stuff from internal storage and use titaniumbackup (or similar apps) to backup app specific data.

Yeah, that's what I did.
Format data, wiped /system for good measure. Still acting iffy.
I'm considering downgrading to stock 8.1, go LOS15.1 and upgrade from there.
A couple of questions
Hi everyone. I'm currently on AOSP Extended 9.0 on my XZ1 compact, since Lineage wasn't avaliable then. Now, I don't know if i should do the change to this rom again.
First of all, are there all the customizations of AEX? there are a lot of them, and they work really well, so it woud be sad to loose them.
Second, in EAX I'm having problems with the camera, since the AEX stock sucks and any other app is not working, presumably due to no support for Camera2 API Level 3, only Legacy or (installing a mod or two) Full. Could anyone confirm me if LOS 9.0 Suport Level 3??? It's pretty easy to know, you only have to download Camera2 API Probe from play store . It would help to change my mind !
Third: your opinion!!!
Thanks to all the work, and the answer (I hope)!!!
