1) “Fix Permissions”
Runs a command that corrects all file permissions in Android. Can also cause trouble but usually it helps with issues.
2) “Zipalign all APK’S”
Runs the “zipalign” process on all user apk’s. This can be handy as not all App Devs do a zipalign and that makes the APK behave bad on memory. Zipaligning them can make them run better in memory.
System
1) “Mount Sytem r/w”
Mounts the System with Read and Write permissions for file browsers. This can potentially be dangerous because malware could abuse that but on the other hand, its helpful too if you like messing with your system and malware could also execute this command anyway, since you already run the device as root user.
2) “Disable Logcat”
Disables the logcat of the system. Makes it a little faster and use a wee bit less juice but you won’t be able to provide your Dev with a LogCat if you have problems. These logs are incredibly helpful for debugging. So just try it out if it betters anything for you.

Already asked this in the ROM thread but will re-post here for the sake of making use of this FAQ thread. Hope somebody can answer me.
Been checking out all the changelogs since 3.3.1 but I can't seem to find any mentions about the fix for the following 2 bugs;
1. Notifications overlapping a centered clock. (Does not exist pre-3.3.x)
2. Appearance of 3-dot menu on apps that have implemented them on the top-right corner.
I'm sorry if this question has been repeatedly asked in one way or another. Cheers

Presume for the 3 dot thing you mean you've tried turning it on in Tweaks but that doesn't stick and the 3 dot in top right hand corner doesn't appear on, say, Google Play ?
If so. I have the same issue. I think the team is aware but I'm less certain they will ever come here to look given how fed up they are in the main thread.

Hello everyone last night I performed a clean install from scratch to better understand what could be the causes of the continuous FC clock widget ...
As always I did clean cache and flashed the boot from the bootloader, in recovery I did a full wipe compressed memory card ....
I installed the rom and I restarted .....
When you first start after entering my account it says that my sd memory problems must be formatted (not sure if I touched qlk in recovy type unmount sd) to format it and start the phone and update .....
After the last update the phone is fine, so I decide to install the Theme Red Viper Jb 3.2.1. and I think I found the problem because now no force close ......
Let me explain the Viper Rom contains two types of clocks with weather;
1) a normal one and
2) a transparent .....
Theme red instead makes them both transparent .......
I noticed that at least the Fc enl my phone was when I chose the second gave me the FC so I took it off, I went into active management I finished and put on the screen princiale the 1 .......
I'll keep you updated Thanks

In add widgets, clock is missing, no clock widget whatsoever.
Can anyone help.
BTW I did search, read FAQ etc. There is similar issues but I can't find a solution to this.
Thanks.

That can happen when you don't wipe before updating rom.
But can be solved by clearing data of Sens in apps list.
That will get all widgets back but you have to setup all your pages again.

Hi i flash two way recording patch on top of viperx 3,3 version, and using call recorder pro, this app only records few calls immidietly after flashing patch, but after a while stops recording, i don't have any new records in list. Maby rom writes back orginal file or something?

as far as i can remember you can only use call recording if a kernel enables that feature...only remember that from the s2 days were kernel had to be compatible to be able to call record

You don't mention exactly which game it is, but there are a bunch of games that aren't compatible with the Nvidea chipset.
Take a look here, maybe it is a solution for you:

Re: [ViperX]Q&A ViperX
When i have "custom app notifications" enabled on my lockscreen, my screen wakes up every time I receive a message. Is there a way to disable this? Or maybe for next update?
Also this: when i installed the rom, i choose to remove sense, and use apex instead, I try to enable transparent status bar on homescreen, but it wont recognize apex as a homescreen. I can only make it transparent if i enable transparent status bar on apps.

We should also try to avoid unneccessary posts to keep this new thread clean
By the way, the list of bugs and workarounds should be added to the first page here. I think a moderator posted it on ViperX thread around pages 420-430.

Download notifications keep popping up even after being swiped away,
also lock screen music widget doesn't let you use the controls.
Sometimes takes a couple of tries to wake the phone up after screen off.
other than that its cool
3.3.3 btw !

CyanMobile help, requests, and general info

Everything CyanMobile
Well CyanMobile has really taken off and to help keep everything a bit neater and easier I have created this non-development thread. I will be posting instructions on just about everything here (This will be my free version of CyanMobile Settings Map and it will only cost you $5.99 LOL!).
I will start taking screen shoots of what the settings do and where they are to help assist everyone in setting this beast up. The options are numerous and most users will require hours of fiddling to find things and some will never find most of the cool features. So this should help everyone from the newest noob to the veteran users.
Also this will be where you can ask for help dealing with apps not included with rom, questions on settings, comment on your experience, and make requests (not saying all or any requests will be filled but it never hurts to ask).
While digging around in the source code I came across this from the SquadZone Team. It is a list of some of the features that are included in this rom.
What is CyanMobile?
CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are built from source...
Absolutely built from source based on CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread v2.3.7) and modifications from AOSP and AOKP
Thanks To CyanogenMod Team, AOKP Team, and AOSP Team for Their Work
**********************************************************************************************************************
** CyanMobile is Short of " *Cyan* (CyanogenMod) *Mob* (Mobiling) *I* (Improving) and *L* (Let's) *E* (Experiment)" **
**********************************************************************************************************************
All features are based on what users do and what users need with lots of improvements here and there
This ROM (optimized by Gingerbread) uses updates from other branches (like ICS stuff, AOSP and AOKP) with reverse
engineering or backporting skills
It can be used without any need to have any Google application (Gapps) installed..

I will use this as the base of my CyanMobile Map. I have a bunch of screen shots and will be updating the OP over the next few days with this. Hope this helps yall setup your Rom with a bit more ease. Keep your eyes on this page and see what you can do with your new toy.
Major settings
Under Construction
How to answer incoming calls and how to change the way you answer them.
As most of yall have noticed if you have tried this rom this thing is a beast when it comes to customization. There are countless things you can do and one of them is change how your dialer works. Out of the box you dont have softkeys to answer or hangup your phone. You must hit the settings hard key to answer or dial and the back key to hangup. Sorry about not listing that till now but I forgot about it
How to setup some of the basic features
Changing how you answer your phone
1. Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- calls
2. Check allow incall ui touch this will give you a ui to answer/reject calls (if you only uncheck the two above this then you will be unable to answer your phone)
3. Also you can recheck the two options to use the menu and back keys and then either the buttons or the ui will work
Setting up GPS
1. Settings -- Main Settings -- Location & Security
2. Check Use wireless networks
3. Check Use GPS satellites
4. Select GPS source then select Use Internal GPS
5. Last one is your choice (it does use your mobile data) Check Use assisted GPS
Second there is a built in a2sd but needs to be setup.
1. Settings-- development -- check mount SD on boot and enable download on SD.
2. Reboot
3. Settings -- applications -- preferred install location -- sdext
4. Settings -- cyanmobile settings -- check allow application moving
5. Select install location and choose sd-ext
6. Now reboot
From now on all apps will automatically be on sdext.
You can go into settings -- application -- manage applications
If everything was done correctly then you will have an option to move to sdcard and move to sd-ext/phone.
Now I know some of yall are getting tired of setting up this rom every time I put out a new release. While this wont save everything it will save most of our settings. Open CyanMobile settings and scroll over to Utilities and you will find options to back up and restore. Just follow their instructions.
To disable boot audio
Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- Performance
Uncheck enable boot sound and reboot (I have tested and this does work)
A2sd style scripts will cause bootloops
Note on themes: so far every cm7 theme I tried works fine.
CyanMobile Settings
Well I am sure most of yall can figure out the normal settings so I will leave those out of this guide (unless I get requests for them).
I am going to start at the beginning and work my way through the settings. Some things might cover what has been posted in OP #1 but doing it this way will be easier for me. Also it should help to server as a better map for yall. I am taking pics as I am writing this so for now you will just see an insert message till I get them uploaded.
1. CyanMobile settings
2. First up is the Application tab
A. There are four listings here as shown above.
1. Allow application moving -- this must be enabled to use the built in a2sd program
2. Install location
a. Automatic -- system decides where to place apps
b. Internal -- this places apps on your /data partition
c. External -- this places apps in your .android_secure folder on your main sd partition (not a good option, will reboot when connecting mass storage.
d. SD-Ext -- this places apps on your sd-ext partition (best choice)
B. Use internal storage (this option is not for use and is grayed out)
C. Permission management -- this gives you the option to revoke or grant permission on a app by app basis
3. Calls tab
A. Smart phone call -- cool feature allows you to automatically dial a number when phone is placed near your ear (open contact, message or put number in dialer then put phone to your head and it dials)
B. Back button end call -- on by default
C. Menu button answers calls -- on by default
D. Allow Incall UI touch -- off by default -- selecting turns off options B + C (but you can enable them and have the option to use buttons or the UI) -- if you unselect this option it will automatically turn on options B + C (that way you will never be left without a way to answer calls)
E. Loop ringtone -- loops ringtone until call is answered or goes to voicemail (if not selected a short ringtone will only play once then stop)
F. Call Me Louder -- uses proximity sensor an will increase call volume when phone is inside pocket/bag/etc. (battery draining feature)
G. Vibrate during calls
H. Flip down to mute ringer -- battery draining feature
I. Flip down to snooze alarm -- battery draining feature
4. CPU settings tab
A. Current CPU frequency
B. Available governors -- changes governor
C. I/O scheduler -- changes I/O scheduler
D. Min CPU frequency -- allows you to set the lowest frequency the governor can use
E. Max CPU frequency -- allows you to set the highest frequency the governor can use
F. Max screen off CPU frequency -- limits screen off frequency -- if governor uses screen off freq then the lowest setting of the two will be used
G. Set on boot -- will restore setting after reboot/restart (only select after testing above settings -- that way you don't get stuck in boot loop due to too high/low cpu settings)
5. Display tab
A. Automatic backlight
1. Enable
2. Window length ( 2-60 seconds )
3. Reset threshold
4. Sample interval
5. Use custom
6. Screen dim level
7. Edit other levels
8. Allow light decrease
9. Decrease hysteresis
B. Screen-on animation -- animation when you come out of sleep
C. Screen-off animation -- animation when you go into sleep
D. Enable Bravia engine -- on by default (said to improve graphics)
E. Rotation animation
F. Window animation (this is not the only place to change this)
G. Transition animations (this is not the only place to change this)
H. Display Option -- changes the display size (evo 4G is 800X480)
I. Reset Display size
J. LCD Density (this can effect your market/playstore)
K. Clear Market data
L. Click to Reboot!
M. Reverse rotation -- used if your phone does not rotate correctly
N-Q. Used to enable/disable rotation settings 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees
6. Input tab
A. Input Tweaks
1. Haptic feedback tweaks
a. Haptic feedback main -- vibration when pressing softkeys and some UI interactions
b. Haptic feedback up -- vibration on release of key and some UI interactions
c. Haptic screen items -- vibration when making screen selections (haptic feedback up must be enable to use this feature)
d. Set Down Pattern -- make vibration patterns
c. Set Up Pattern -- make vibration patterns
d. Long-Press Pattern
e. Set Keypad Tap Pattern
2. Long-Press home settings
a. Show recent apps title
b. Number of recent apps
c. Quick home button -- when enabled pressing home shows recent apps (no long press required)
d. Task Switcher -- this is the app that makes it look like ics style recent apps (on by default)
e. Use custom application
f. Select custom application -- sets application used when long pressing home
3. Long-Press menu
a. Choose behavior -- a few preset options
b. Select custom application -- allows you to set app launched when long pressing menu
B. Search key behavior
1. Search key app
2. Custom application
3. Long-press search key
4. Custom application
C. Vibrate on shutdown
D. Volume rocker wake -- use volume keys to wake phone
E. Volume button music control -- long press vol+ to skip forward, vol- to restart/skip back (D and E can be enabled at same time so use care or you will wake the phone instead of changing tracks)
F. Camera button music control -- can be enabled but since we have no camera button it does nothing
G. Explorer Key -- another option you can change but since we dont have this key it wont do anything
6. Interface tab
(insert 27, 28, 29)

When I tried step 3 on the a2sd it says "sd-ext disabled using auto"
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
I am running it now and so far so good. I will upload to dropbox and send links via pm soon as I get all the governors added properly. For some reason Diablo is not showing up but I have hipkat and deathbysoap. The devil is in the details. LOL
crap wrong thread.
I will double check the setup. I am using a2sd right now without any problems. Must have mixed up or forget a step. Still trying to get all rom stuff straight and have not had much time for the setup part.
Edit:
Not sure what is going on with yours honda. I just tried it with my new beta 4.0 and it worked perfectly. I was on beta 3.0 dry and it had no problems with it either.
Work to be done
As I've said before " Great ROM " bout to make me update my SIG...LOL! It has had a couple problems, few RR, but still my DD! The usb connection makes it reboot? A2SD seems to not work? Most times it lags a lil then runs like a beast. I would love to try your KARA kernel! I'm hoping that these problems can be eliminated as I will be using this on my Phone as my DD until I upgrade. (which is when my evo dies) If you need any info from me or my device, just ask!
Guess I need A2SD installation instructions ..... wow I feel retarded.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Don't feel bad this is not your normal a2sd installation instructions are available at the top of this thread. I am glad your liking the Rom. Enjoy and as always feel free to contact me with any issues or questions.

Okay! I need a blonde or red head with at least DD's! A Ferrari, a few dollars? you did say you would help! ...
Here are logcats for ya about my usb problem? hope fully its fixed in 4.0!

Well just a thought but if you wanting DD's I would suggest doing a rental cause they dont look so good after a few years. Smaller is better with age. LOL.
I am checking the logs now. Just a thought but have you tried other cables or pc's. I use usb also and never had the reboot issue.
Edit:
Oh I see the problem. Should be an easy fix on your end. Looks like you have your apps moved to the sdcard and not the sd-ext partition.
1. open app manager
2. move all apps to phone
3. move apps to sd-ext
4. mount ums and see what happens
Yeah... renting is a good idea ( for more than that reason)! What about the Ferrai???
Got the Usb fixed Thanks to you!
4.0 seems to be even smoother so far! The settings an app combination make it a power house of a Rom! An the theme settings make it look sharp too!
Will be messing with the endless settings to see what way I can break this Rom!

Well the Ferrari is not the best idea either. First it is a drivers car meaning built for a track and can be very unforgiving to the average driver. Then the money factor expensive to purchase, insure, and maintenance is more than down payment on a new car. The corvette is a better choice you get performance and fuel economy how many cars can do 0-60 in the 4 second range and get almost 30 mpg on the highway? Plus if you are smart enough you can buy it use it for a year and then sell it for more than you paid for it. Try that with a Ferrari.
Well back on topic. Break what you can that way I can fix it. With each release I find less and less things to do to make this better. Enjoy!!
Damn man all I wanted was a Ferrari .... now I'm upset. Boo- who.
Anyway so far... the A2SD is working great, USB connection is working, FFC, HDMI, GPS every thing is working! First rom I've flashed in a while that has been 100% Evo 4G compatible.
P.S. : follow install an setup instructions ( might save the asprin)

Yes the above is overkill, but if you are experiencing an sort of problems this should be your first step before posting bug reports.
I am ocd when it comes to wiping clean and restore very little between ROMs, and it is super rare that I have any issues.
speaking of bug reports....
How To Submit a Bug Report in a Developer Forum
Before You Press Submit...
Make sure you can reproduce the bug on a clean flash (yes clean like above)
Make sure you meet all requirements for ROM (very little for this one)
Capture any log possible of event, Aroma log and logcat specifically (explained below)
Post as much detail as you can along with the log (pastebin or .txt or code wraps)
List all info on your bootloader screen
Anything else you can think of that may be causing your problem (that rouge app you installed, when you dropped your phone in the bath, when you through it at the beehive outside school)
And of course know that I'm not being a ****, I want to help you, and I want you to enjoy this ROM. I just need good information to make sure you are problem free!

Logcatting Like A PRO!
Simple way, download app from market... but not as helpful
What your after is more than just
Code:
adb logcat myproblem.txt
This is nice but something more helpful
Code:
adb shell dmesg ; adb logcat -b system -b radio -b events -b main
:good:
also if there was a reboot or something to this extent
Code:
adb shell cat /proc/last_kmsg > kmsg.txt
Here are some more tips if your unsure
Being I am here to help I don't mind you asking, "Hey this happened and I would like to help find out why, can you help me get a log? etc... etc..."

Common Q & As...
Q. What is that bar on the bottom? How do I get rid of it or change it?
A. Probably referring to the navigation bar, this is found under settings> CyanMobile settings> Interface> Interface tweaks> Navbar tweaks.
Q. Getting annoyed with the boot sound! How do I remove it or change it?
A. CyanMobile settings> Performance Enable boot sound. Or CyanMobile settings> Interface> Choose/Restore bootsound
Q. Ummm... There's no root access for adb... Why?
A. Its off by default, go to Settings> Development> Root access and take your pick.
Q. So I just choose xxx splash screen in Aroma, I don't like it, I don't like the others, how do i get original back?
A. Either flash your original through fastboot or If you want I have another Aroma installer with over 40 more choices including both the G2 and DZ original splash screens Located Here
Q. Just flashed this ROM and saw the bootanimation just run for like 10 minuets... Fix this please!
A. This has been happening with some builds and it depends on what modification you choose in aroma. The ROM will always boot after the initial run through.
Simply plug in phone to computer and it will reboot and go strait to ROM (or reboot otherwise) This is a bug I'm tracking down, just know after first boot there is no issue here.

Thank you for continue in old device.
Well it doesn't boot. After wiping everything and installing clear ( i mean withour additional apps, bootscreen and splashes etc. ) rom it boot only to splash screen, and after that phone reboot again to spash over and over again.

Hmmm, I've flashed and tested a dozen times with this zip, so very strange. Check md5sum for bad download and if possible can you save and upload recovery log from aroma here?
First boot does seem to take 3-5 min (30 seconds or so for next boot) only other thing I can think of is your bootloader, haven't checked the partition size to see if it will fit on the g2 bootloader.
I'll look into this when I get home myself, and all feedback is appreciated, although there aren't many issues I can find (but yes a couple fixes still need to be applied) this should be a daily driver for most and will be for sure soon enough!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
EDIT:
This ROM is even smaller than I thought! you can for sure use the G2 hboot so this isnt your issue
see if adb is working when trying to boot, if so grab a logcat
also the aroma log would help (try flashing just ROM and gapps)

Thanks! I don't use this daily anymore myself but I do like to plat around a bit. This is a fun ROM for anyone looking for a gingerbread ROM with ICS/jb feel

Very cool Rom! Only one problem so far, I have no home button. Doesn't work in nav bar, pie, or physical button.
Almost have it set up the way I want it. Thank you, been looking for something new.

This is the second strange bug report...
If you could get me a logcat I would be much appreciative as it will be the only way I can track this down and fix as I haven't had this issue before
I do appreciate all bug reports as with as many options this ROM has it is not easy to test all (but home button does work fine on my end )
To anyone else reporting bugs or general findings, thank you!
But I do require as much info as possible about a bug, logcats are very needed!
And yes I have a new build almost ready with some needed fixes, my internet seems to be at its slowest tonight so it may have to wait until morning
Happy Flashing!
EDIT:
I have not tested fully the enhanced key mapping, if you selected this in aroma then flash aroma again, don't flash ROM, just choose mods and return to normal key mapping and see if this fixes your issue
lets get some screenshots up in here! sounds great!

i find the JB roms to be a little sluggish compared to the Gingerbread i have on another desire z.
I was wondering if someone could tell me what im missing with JB or ICS if i were to go back to GB...
someone persuade me. lol
HAHA, just flash this ROM and you wont be missing a thing!
ok thats not true... :crying:
There are some apps that just will not work unless you have an api of 14 or higher (4.x)
the ui is cleaner 4.x and up, but lots of this is changed with a new launcher
... really off the top of my head cant think of much more, im sure there is though...
anyway new build should be up in about half an hour with some bug fixes, i suggest to wait for this, will be 1.0.3
still a few more bugs to hash out but my internet is being **** and i need some sleep so they will have to wait!
Happy Flashing!
Seems cool, but what is with the buttons on the bottom of the screen? How do you disable them?

This is the navbar, I will turn it off by default in next build as I'm finding it annoying to
Go to cyanmobile settings
Interface
Interface tweaks
Navbar tweaks, and then disable
When you do this wait 20 seconds for ui to reset, then you will see pie is enabled, if you don't like pie then scroll over in settings and disable it
There really are a ton of settings here so I'm not surprised if it takes people a while to find all options, it did for me!

Does anyone have continuous "Please unplug charger" notification when battery is fully charged? I have it, it doesn't matter is charger plugged or not but notification reappears every 30 seconds and it doesn't matter is a screen on or off. Logcat in attachment.
Workaround is to disable "Battery full alert".

Just kidding, I've been working on this one, I keep getting build errors while trying to fix it the proper way but if it takes me much longer I'll just have it disabled by default in the next build until I get it fixed proper like
Thanks for the logcat!

Awesome rom! My new DD, took me a good 2 hours to go through all the settings and get everything just the way I wanted. Loving (LOVING) all of the options. Was looking for semi status and pull down, this delivers. Showing much more ram usage then ilwt but it runs faster / smoother (in my opinion, and unused ram is ram that's being wasted! Hehe) anyways, I'm very impressed, changed the colors and installed a jb skin and I'm very happy. Couple questions.
I can't seem to answer my phone heh, there is no button or bar to move and I miss the call pawing at the screen trying to answer it heh. And I noticed there were adjust app permissions as one of the options, but how do I actually change them? Id love similar functionality to pdroid (perhaps someone can release a pdroid patched version?) Thanks for putting this out, very impressed.

Cool! The one thing I missed from my Wimmobile days is that I can switch between apps quickly by pressing the icons on the notification bar(Taskbar?). As shown on below page. Strange that nobody had done that on android. This is the next best thing!
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-wktask-v1-1-7-3b.html
Will be even better if there is an option to adjust the width of the "windows" to make it less obtrusive.
Thanks!
Some suggestion/issue:
1. Can you make small apps to have transparent background always? After you select one of the task, the small app background stay opaque until you tap the running application.
2. Is it possible to have button to minimise the small app into floating small icons? (similar to selecting minimise from the notification windows)
3. I don't know whether this is by design, but when you open up the phone application and then touch back button, it will remove it from the small app. If you open up the task swithcer however, it will still listed phone app as the most recent one.
PS: Love your mod for Xperia Ray (I still used your system ui mod for ray) :good:

1. Well if i can override the theme of sony small app built in theme it should be possible.
2. It is possible but it will take a space if i put it just like that into the header. Unless i make it as horizontal list (which need some time to try).
3. Yes it was my intention to remove all closed app from the menu. In the stock Android setting, the Recent Apps will always store the closed application, so the next time you open it, it will not move the existing task to the front, but start a new activity for it. What i did was to remove all the closed apps, so to reduce the recent apps number there. But that's a good suggestion, i might add an option to fix that.

New Version 1.6.0 is uploaded! Changelog:

2. New UI options
3. Added Option to view all Recent Apps just like the stock Recent App contain.
Ps: the UI in fact can be docked to the edge of your screen as i found out. Just double tap the move button and then drag it into the near edge of the screen, preferably at the right
Edit: It is recommended to turn on showing running apps. There are some undetected bugs with some Google apps of you leave it unchecked. Will inspect later. In the mean time stay with showing Running Apps only.

1. UI tweak
2. Duplicated Recent App Fix

@hansip87
kinda offtopic question this but how do you get those 6 icons next to eachother here?:

[MODPACK] MCR modpack for the Nexus 9 (r10.1)

MoDaCo Custom ROMs (MCRs) have always been based on the stock ROM for devices. I've recently switched my daily driver phone to a Nexus 6 and my daily driver tablet to a Nexus 9, giving me an opportunity to have a good play with Lollipop, the new Android release.
On the whole, the latest version of Android is fantastic, but as is often the case, I have seen a few opportunities for tweaks and improvements, which once again has started me thinking about MCRs, particularly with the loss of Xposed on Lollipop which had become the de-facto way to apply tweaks.
With this in mind, i've started looking at the best way to create and package modifications, and this modpack for the Nexus 5, 6 and 9 is the first step on that road.
Initially, the changes are purely to SystemUI. Only 2 files are changed, no wipe is needed if you already have an unlocked bootloader (stock certificates are retained). A 'MCR Control' application is included to configure the modifications.
Features (some are only available on specific devices / telephony enabled devices):
'MCR Control' configuration application
A one handed mode which moves the button towards the edge on the navigation bar - press and hold back or recents to toggle
Multiple battery level display options for status bar and lockscreen
Option to enable the stock Lollipop battery percent feature
Option to remove carrier label from lockscreen
Option to reverse order of navigation buttons
Option to retain network type indicators when roaming
Option to disable '4G for LTE' indicator
Option to disable orange colouring of status bar and navigation bar separately on battery saver
Option to hide clock
Option to centre clock
Option to disable icon when alarm is set
Option to ignore priority when determining whether to show heads up notifications
Option to disable heads up notifications altogether
Option to double tap status bar to sleep
Option to double tap navigation bar to sleep
Option to enable double tap to wake (requires root, be sure to auth SuperSU after clicking the box, applies a few seconds after each boot) - NEXUS 6 ONLY
Option to enable red / blue / green charging LED (requires root, be sure to auth SuperSU after clicking the box, applies a few seconds after each boot) - NEXUS 6 ONLY
Options to lock status and navigation bars to black (user request - Nexus 9 blacklight bleed mitigation)
Option to enable rotation in lockscreen
Option for re-boot menu in status bar header
All options are applied in real time
Compatible with both odexed and deodexed stock ROMs
To install:
Ensure your device is running STOCK LRX22C - use on any other ROM version will make bad things happen!
Download the zip file below
Install or boot TWRP using fastboot
Backup your stock system partition (you'll need to restore this to apply OTAs)
Push the modpack zip file to /sdcard
Install the zip file in the usual manner
Download:
r10.1 - DOWNLOAD - MD5: 902591a9c3a098943dbfda545495f826
To revert to stock:
Restore your backup of the system partition!
To revert to stock if you didn't back up:
Download the correct factory image from your device from the Nexus Factory Images page
Extract the files (including the internal images zip)
Locate the system img file, reboot your device to bootloader and 'fastboot flash system system.img'
Boot to recovery and wipe the dalvik-cache
Future releases will add features, but as always MCR will be focused on adding features in a stock style way - you should wonder whether they are mods or whether they were always there.
Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!

Hi. Im looking for a way to make the status bar permanently black regardless of the app im in. Can someone who understands this please advise?
Im rooted of course, currently running stock but willing to change roms or whatever. Just need a black status bar because of overpowered backlight all along the top edge of the screen When the status bar is black its almost invisible however...
Thanks in advance.

But how?
Well, possible by modding the SystemUI (as this app does). i.e. I'd need to add it as a feature...

I see. I would be PayPal greatful if you added such a feature! Would really help in my case. In fact I browsed 3 devices at the shop and they all had the same problem. Mine is the first revision unfortunately, as the backlight was fixed in later versions.
This is an easy addition actually, i'll put it in the next update.
P
That would be brilliant thanks very much! Tell me, will it work on cm? Just this feature I mean?
I've got no issue moving back to stock if it'll fix that backlight!

Thank you kindly for fulfilling my request! It helps a lot.
I'm trying to make a donation, but there seems to be some issue with the MCR Control links:
https://bitly.com/a/warning?url=htt...BF:btn_donateCC_LG.gif:NonHosted&hash=14DCAX6
Lollipopalooza is built upon stock LRX22C rom. Do you think it will mess stuff up if I install this on it? I'll make a backup and see for myself.
Edit: It works! MCR basically overrides the custom features of the lollipopalooza rom, and there's so conflicts what so ever. At least from my extension of testing So thank you so much Paul.
I love the one handed feature. Works incredibly well, even when lollipopalooza has a similar feature. Said feature is just diabled and rendered useless, which is a good thing. This is better.
Also really loving the double tap lockscreen to sleep thing.
Some feedback: One handed mode could move the keys even further to the sides. They don't move a whole lot on the nexus 9, and there's still a lot of space between the edges of the navigation bar and the soft keys. I'm sure the rom's built in feature moved them even more.
Battery level display option "show text only with charging icon" seems to be the opposite of what it says it's going to do. What I mean is, when charging it shows both battery icon and text (correct behavior), but when discharging the battery icon disappears and the text is still showing. What I expected was that it shows text and icon when charging, but when it's not charging it only shows the battery icon. If it works for everyone else, it might just be my rom fault.
Tiny feature request
Hi !
I really don't know if it is hard to implement but i would surely love to have the quick pin unlock feature that I've seen on so many roms, but still be on stock. I've searched but haven't found anything.
Wish I could this myself...
Thanks !!
This pack really helped me thank you. I just wish we could take the thing apart and fix these things. But I guess I'll see if I can just get a screen replacement for mine ))

Anyone who runs my ROMS knows that I thoroughly test my work before I even make it available for testing.
I try to release bug free Fully Custom FAR FROM STOCK ROM!!!
How to deal with BUGS and Reporting Issues
Sometimes a small bug or two can make itself present with a different users setup, and I'm sure if that happens you guys will be so happy to point it out and drag it on for 5 pages!!!
I will not respond to ANY KNOW bug issues!!!
Please use the "Search" button
and if you do find a bug give it a title in the subject line like "Bug report xxxxxx" so users who do use the search first will be able t find them faster and not waste value thread post on repeating nonsense!!!
See the "Know Issues" below for the current bug report and solutions.
Thanks you
Confirmed and written by users specific to the device 920/925 T/W8 - These are the steps (with screenshots) users use and confirmed ZERO issues with "FCs" and "Call not sent" issues, if any other experience the same they can follow those too:
In TWRP recovery:
1) wipe
2) Advanced wipe
3) wipe---> Dalvik/Cache/Data/System
4) Flash the V2 Rom
5) After it boot at setup wizard let the device sit for 5 minutes for Rom to settle. Go thru SETUP WIZARD and see if you get any FCs and test your dialer to see if you can make calls, IF NOT follow the following steps.
6) Reboot into Recovery
7) Download and flash kernel ( the-sickness V4 or ozop kernel aroma zip and choose kernel of your choice)
8) Let device boot and FCs should be gone and now you can make phone calls.
920/925 "F", "I" - The way I installed is as follows.
Reboot to recovery and using TWRP the following
1. Full wipe excluding the internal memory.
2. Flash rom.
3. Flash this incall audio patch.
4. Install hacker kernel version 14
5. Boot rom and setup.
6. Setup ozop control.
Then tested in call audio by talking to my other who is in Spain while I'm In the UK.
v3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
*CLEAN INSTALL FULL WIPE RECOMMENDED(If you dirty flash and have issue DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS!!!)
1) Just install like normal
2) Kernel install is OPTIONAL but should be fine since the zip will not remove or replace your current boot.img
3) be patient!! Boot time is around 12 min, but could take up to 20!
4) IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT SETUP: THE SETUP IS HIT OR MISS DEPENDING ON YOUR SIGNAL CONNECTION, WIFI IS BEST.
THE OPTIONS FOR SETUP ARE AS FOLLOWS:
AS SOON AS THE SETUP SCREEN COMES ON JUST START "SKIPPING", HIT SKIP, SKIP, SKIP ALL THE WAY TO THE END BEFORE THE DATA CONNECTS OR IF YOU WANT TO SETUP AND GET STUCK ON THE "CHECKING CONNECTION FLASH THIS TO REMOVE_SETUP_WIZARD
5) Now you should be on your home screen, time to activate OZOP Control mods! Do this by opening the app and granting super user of course, the app is verifying some files in the system then you will see instant changes to the statusbar, but that's not enough. So firsst open the sections menu by hitting the 3 lines in the top left of the screen, then first open the "All Colors/BG's" sections, then click to open each of the 7 sections within that menu option. That will get most of the mods activated. You can now go and actviate the rest by simply opening, then closing each part of each section.
That's is. ENJOY!!!!
OZOP v5 Installation Instructions, Discussion and Download Link begins here
INSTRUCTIONS FOR POST INSTALL SET UP OF OZOP CONTROL:
1) CLEAN INSTALL RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF THE NEW BUILD OF OZOP CONTROL APP
2) SET UP LIKE NORMAL
3) FIRST THING IS GO TO OZOP CONTROL AND GRANT ROOT ACCESS
4) CLICK THE 3 LINES FOR MENUS ON TOP LEFT
5) OPEN EACH SECTION AND each sub section AND THAT WILL ACTIVATE THE MODS AND YOU WILL NOTICE CHANGES INSTANTLY
6) ENJOY

For Edge users
This is an exact duplicate thread from the Flat forum.
I am only posting it here to let Edge users be aware that this is an Edge based rom with ALL Edge features working!
I will check in here from time to time, but I didn't get much love from this community with my OZOP LP version so the main thread will and always will remain the Flat thread.
If you have urgent questions post in this thread.
Thanks and enjoy a new option for your Edge rom.

ADD YOUR OWN CUSTOM IMAGE WITH THE OZOP CUSTOM BACKGROUND TEMPLATE
1) Download the Custom_BG_Template_OZOP_MM_07.08.2016.zip ATTACHED BELOW and extract the files to your phone or PC.
2) Choose your image and which BG you want to change (image can be a png or jpg, IMPORTANT only that the name matches my template for exact replacement
Now using the extracted zip template move your image that has been renamed to following locations and names
a) Main System BG - stangs_bg.png and stangs_bg_light.png(1080x1920, not as important as the others, it will be resized automatically)
Code:
(template location = vrtheme/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-sw360dp-xxxhdpi-v13)
c) Pulldown Notification - pulldown1.jpg, pulldown2.jpg, pulldown3.jpg and so on up to pulldown15.jpg (1080x1920) add up to 15 option that you can instantly toggle with OZOP Control
Code:
(template location = vrtheme/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-xxxhdpi)
3) Name your image to match the image you want to change (if it's a png, just name it jpg). The image size may need to be played with to your liking, there are plenty of app in playstore for this
4) place your renamed image in the location I've described above (remove any image from the template you don't want to use)
5) Zip up the files and flash
6) Enjoy and show off your work to the rest of us!!!
NOTE FOR DIALER BG's
Dialers = are all stored in the "ozop" folder in your phones extra storage. Replace any of the images with png or jpg renamed to match EXACTLY. Then use OZOP Control to switch
Added a couple of very rough first addition keyboards.
Chrome edge v2 keyboard fixed for symbols to be visible now
Caller_ID for unidentified numbers attached below
Well, not even 1 reply
That's disappointing, I hope everyone is just in the flat s6 forums
the amount of hours put into this for not even a response is crazy

This rom does look super sweet. Plus @Maqical recommended it. Spent my whole weekend flashing and restoring my phone. But plan to flash this on my edge ASAP (now that I'm back to work from long weekend as soon as I get some time). What are the animation scales set to and does it use csc secondary keyboard symbols ? Not to be trivial or anything

UPLOAD SUCCESSFUL!!!!! OP UPDATED WITH LINK FOR V2!
Now, I'm absolutely fried and exhausted right now. I'm going to go out for at least a good 12 hrs right now.
The only instructions are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR CLEAN INSTALL!
If you dirty flash you will definitely not get the full update.
Other than that, same as any other MM rom.
Wipe in recovery
Flash rom
(Optional) flash kernel of choice
Wait a good 15 min to boot (phone will vibrate at least once and boot animation will slow down a certain points, all is good!)
After it boots recommended to just let it settle for a good 5 min or so.
After setup wizard go to OZOP Control FIRST Grant root and open every section of every menu options! This activated all the mods, you will notice changes in text colors and BG images. These are only default options and can all be changed from the various sections of the all.
Done and done!
ENJOY!
Hello @stangdriver44 I install your rom on my G925I and run perfect, but i lost the root ,I cant install root.

Just want to say this ROM took a lot of tweaking and configuring about (as it deservedly intended to) but after much time and effort, possibly one of the best ROMs I've ever flashed and probably my Daily driver finally for while.
Not sure why OP doesn't get much love here but you got my kudos and respect on this project. Can't wait to see how this develops! +1
Edit: Only bugs I can report for development is Phone FCs and Smart Manager too. Can provide logcats if needed
