Init.D Not Working - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi there guys! I'm currently using CM9 with the following tweaks/mods/kernel that you can see on my signature right now and I'm having problems with init.d not working. I hope you can help me guys! Thanks!

1. Which init.d script is not working, exactly? Only one or several? Or all of them?
2. Post here the result of:
Code:
ls -la /system/etc/init.d

The init.d should be, the ROM itself is supporting init.d ... Any more details?

I upgraded to CM9 RC3 and init.d's working fine right now. I saw on the changelog that it includes init.d scripting fixes so I guess RC2 has a faulty one.

Hi there guys! I'm having some problems again with init.d not working. It only seems to be triggered whenever I install a new custom kernel by flashing it, wiping the dalvik cache and cache then fixing the permissions. The problems is, whenever I check Seeder to see if it's working or not via Terminal Emulator. Seeder says it's off although it's set to run at every boot. The things that I've tried to fix it is by restoring the /system partition of my RC6 backup with no mods/scripts or custom kernels installed. How do I prevent it from happening again as doing all those things are time consuming.

Can anyone help me?

[ROM] ICS with UNSUPPORTED HW HACK

This is a thread for all of those interested in the HW Hack that has been applied to the current WIP ICS for Desire ROM. This is to keep you out of the development thread for the ICS ROM and keep it clean. Any questions should be asked in here and if anyone wants to develop it, go ahead. As mentioned many times in the original thread, they are not supporting this, so don't ask them! Funnily enough, neither am I, I am sick of reading questions pertaining to something that is mentioned every page as UNSUPPORTED.
Flash in the order the files are listed.
Copy and pasted from ICS thread:
UNSUPPORTED 0.3.5 WITH HW HACK * (Stock HBOOT)
http://fyels.com/FCx
UNSUPPORTED 0.3.5 WITH HW HACK * (CM7R2 HBOOT)
http://www.mediafire.com/?v2c6s8w77s6cscc
Kernel is NEEDED (should be the same as last build but reuploaded because of some complaints
http://fyels.com/Frt
If you need to flash superuser:
http://fyels.com/M8t
What's working:
HW accelration! (with errors)
WiFi
SMS
GPS
Sound
Calling
Touchscreen
Stable 3G
Gmail sync + calendar working with gmail
SD read/write
All sensors
BT
Picaza sync
Fixed permissions (3rd party apps that needed maps now works)
Headphones
App2sd ( the stock included not app2sd+ or app2ext)
GoogleBackup
What's not working:
Camera
Forgot to add USB (charges + adb nothing more)
and probably alot more
Thanks to:

well obviously we bloody well did. this is pointless. The hw hack, even if it is dirty, is completely relevant towards getting a stable build of ics so how does it warrant another thread?

The OP of the other thread has stated they will not be touching the HW Hack at all. If you want to start development of a stable build via the hack, use this thread, not theirs.
i am trying out this rom.. it is definitely smoother than the other rom. But i faced a problem, i am unable to download and install whatsapp from the market. Though i have enough space to install it on my internal memory, the message that is given was not enough memory. I think this is due to the 5mb of cache in the Cm7r2 hboot. Is there a way to symlink such that apps from the market are downloaded to the sdcard before installation?

Use terminal emulator and try this. (Alternatively use adb shell)
su
cd /cache/
rm -R download
mkdir /mnt/asec/marketcache
ln -s /mnt/asec/marketcache download
chown -h system.cache download
See if this works or not.

Because you started spamming the other thread with pointless questions. The need for clean thread where those actively participating in development could obtain information needed without roaming the endless posts about something which could hardly benefit the development warrants the need for a new thread. This should be done the first day they started with this project.

I installed CM7r2 version on my S-Off desire with 1.5gb ext4

- Unable to re-store apps in Titanium backup
- Read/Write/Gallery/Calander/Wifi/3G all work fine
- Overall the ROM is quite fast
- Sound Effects also work in music system
- Battery life seems good
Please someone help me install apps.

[Tweak]INIT.D

Not sure as this belongs here or not, but I think this is the best place for it. This will allow you to add init.d to your phone without CWM. I got it working for me, so I hope everyone else will have the same fortune.
Requirements:
1.Root
2.Fully installed Busybox
3. Windows computer
Instructiions:
Download and run runme.bat
Credits:
keunhuvac - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577545
Added the CWM version to the OP - Quick instructions:
Put on your SD card or somewhere you can find on your phone and flash with CWM - done!
Files from his forum - Xperia S - has been edited to remove errors
Please note this will fail if any of the Busybox symlinks are not complete!

I am not sure it works.
1. the 06dalvik script did not create /cache/dalvik-cache folder.
2. the 99test did not create any file in /data/local/tmp.
does our kernel support init.d?

Mine is working, if you got some errors during the load process, I need to know.
If thing to do is check your symlinks and make sure that they are all there for busybox.
Use this to check your symlinks:https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsInN0ZXJpY3Nvbi5idXN5Ym94Il0.
If any one is missing, it could stop the install process.
On the thing about our kernel supporting init.d, the answer is not currently and that is why we have to use this program. It will allow compatibility with our kernel to have init.d.
The busbox is ok.
I can run it rom my terminal on the phone as well as adb shell.
There were no errors during installation.
Edit:
I ran the script again today.
The init.d works. the 99test did create a file in /data/local/tmp.
INIT.D installed. Excellent! Now to look up some tweaks. You da man Popfan.

Running it at 50% is pretty good also. The script will at least zipalign, check for proper permissions on all apps, clean the delvik-cache, and reorganize the task manager priorities and also your ram manager settings. You should try the battery calibration script that is there also, it is really nice.

Script manager is easiest. Don't forget to use as root for all those scripts.
I did forget that it will also allow for a powershift, so you can change your settings on the fly if you need more multitasking capabilities than power savings or more power.

It does not look like the latest CWM that I put will be compatible with the extra mods, after I put the cwm together and flashed it bricked my phone. I have put my phone back to where it was before the modifications for the ICS supercharger (the service.jar and service.odex modded part) and works just fine without the additional mods, but I don't think I am going to try to mod the phone again (wife will get mad at me if I hard brick my phone).

INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure you are running a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Make sure you have busybox installed, if you don't or if you're not sure, download Busybox Installer from the Play Store (free)
- Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM, just in case
- Wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery
- Flash PmR in recovery
- A wonderful touchscreen interface will pop-up
(devices need different touchscreen calibration, if the touchscreen doesn't work, use the menu button of your device, select "Calibration Tools" and follow the instructions)
- Follow the on-screen instructions, make your choices between all the different features to Pimp your Rom
- Select "Reboot my device" on last screen (or reboot from recovery) and enjoy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Encountering installation issues ?
Do the following to fix most errors you might get on some devices :
Open the zip of the rom you are running with winrar or 7zip or whatever (the .zip file that you flash in recovery)
Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android
Extract the file called "update-binary" and rename it to "update-binary-installer" then close your rom's zip
Open Pimp my Rom's zip (i.e : PIMP_MY_ROM-v1.5.3-by-Androguide.fr.zip)
Do not unzip it, inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android and delete "updater-binary-installer"
Now copy the "update-binary-installer" file you extracted & renamed from your rom to Pimp My Rom's zip (still in META-INF/com/google/android). Simply drag and drop it into PmR's zip to add it.
Close the zip and flash it

I didn't get any of these errors, which Gapps do you use?
This rom was my daily driver until Link2SD didn't cut it for my installed apps, any int2ext script i've have installed(via recovery or manually pushing it) won't work...................this is probably because of some conflicts with the scripts included in the rom
i used the gapps provided in the post.
i even downloaded and installed 4.4 gapps.
i used dalvik cache wipe tool and flashed int2ext4+ script.
i will again give a try now and let u know.
