Rugged case for extended battery? - Galaxy S III Accessories

I'm thinking about getting a extended battery but I can't find a rugged case except for the overpriced seido case.

I have been looking for one too, but all I can find is cheap rubber cases

this is the only reason stopping me from getting an extended battery
i want like otterbox protection with covered ports

Otterbox Mod
There is a thread around here about someone modifying the otterbox for an extended battery. Use the search for more details. There is also a youtube vid about it. Search youtube for "Samsung Galaxy S3 Extended Battery w/OtterBox"

Is this the video you are talking about?

Case for Gorilla Gadget extended battery

So I just recently purchased a gorilla gadget extended battery and I was wondering if there's a hard case that will fit it anywhere? I've looked online and I'm skeptical about buying some in case they won't fit. Anybody have any suggestions?
Check Amazon.com they have trexcell tpu case for ET4G with extended battery. I have been using this case for few months now and I am very satisfied with it.

Belt clip for s3 with Hyperion battery?

Anyone know if a case with belt clip is available for an s3 with the Hyperion battery and back plate? I wear scrubs at work and don't have pockets so I am looking for a solution!
Thats always the problem with extended batteries.. hardly any cases for people who need them..the only thing suitable is the seidio extended battery and holster.. but thats gonna cost ya,, lol
There was a post and a photo somewhere in the cases section that the belt holster from seidio active does a good job with the extended case from hyperion

I have the 4500 mah battery and door from accessory swamp. Actually I think the door is the same as the hyperion. I bought the honeycomb tpu case for the hyperion and it fits. Anyway I bought the seidio extended holster and it works fine with or without the tpu case on the extended battery cover. I use it naked. I'll post some pics tomorrow if I get time. Feels pretty solid, maybe a little play side to side but nothing to worry about.

Looking for a case like the otterbox commuter for a sprint galaxy nexus w/ ext. Bat

I like the otterbox commuter but I'm worried about the case with the extended battery. I mainly want the plastic outside so that it does not pull out my pocket inside out when I take it out. I kinda like the amzer hybrid case but curious about the fitting with the extended battery.

I don't know if it's the same for the Sprint variant, but the Commuter fits my GSM Galaxy Nexus with the official Samsung extended battery just fine.

Whats the most protective case for extended battery

I currently have a qcell extended battery and their tpu case but I'm looking for something with a bit more drop protection. Should I get the Hyperion tpu case or stick with the qcell one. Or do you have any other suggestions for cases?
I would hack open my otterbox but I don't have the right tools for that.

amazing
ACTIVE® Extended with Metal Kickstand f
ita amazing fit with Hyperion 4200
MSRP: US$34.95
Product Code: CSK3SSGS3XK-BK
Are there any 3rd party back plates that work with the active case? Don't want to pay $15 for that then another $35 for the case at that point I'll just try to crack open my otter box and risk cracking it.

I have only seen two kinds of extended doors; the Seidio and the Hyperion/Q Cell ones. The extended Active case only works with the Seidio back plate.

Hyperion Extended Battery Case Suggestions Needed

I am looking to purchase a new case for Hyperion battery, since I do not like the silicone case for it.
If you are using and know of any other cases then please share

I doubt anyone but Hyperion made a case that fits around their battery. Personally I'd ditch the hideous looking Hyperion door and pick up the official Samsung 3000mAh battery kit and a Diztronic Extended Battery Case, assuming you want a thin device with 50% more juice I never understand why third parties have to make such ugly doors for their batteries.

Check Amazon, I searched the other day and I believe there were at least two cases that claim to fit hyperions battery.

I purchased the trident electra because it has an extra Batt on board. Unfortunately, this coupled with stock oem battery wasn't enough. So i modded the case to fit both the trident batt and the HyPerion. I think the case is big enough to hold the zero lemon, which is what I'm going to eventually put in. Also, it only took about 10 minutes with a razor knife and straight edge.
I like that it doesnt look like a sled, or boat. Don't get me wrong is still Big.
