Hello dear members, I'm new to this from and I'm very exited to get my new htc 8s WP in couple if weeks,
After quite a bit of research I didn't find any answer, is it possible to change the default search engine from bing to google?
I don't have any problem with bing just that it not get good results in my language and it not fully supported in my country,
I find an article that shows hot to that with the Nokia lomia but it required to unlock the cellphone for it. And I don't know if the 8s is unlock able or how to unlock It.

regarding the search engine, if you mean the "search" button no, this cannot be changed
On my Nokia Lumia 920 i can change the default IE search to google, i don't have this option on my 8S.

The Pro commercial version allows you to move reports to a special folder in your Inbox, and a few more options.

Question:
If I check e.g. "man voice" and also "Don't play default notify sounds", I don't get the report visually.
Is it possible to get the specific report-sound AND show the report on display for checking the recipient?

Today the device search stoped working for me. the devices by os or manufacturer stoped working a few weeks ago. i tried it with firefox chrome and internet explorer but it didnt work on one of them. even on my laptop and touchpad it didnt work.
anyone with the same problem?

yep, same for me. 'find your device' and 'Devices by OS or Manufacturer' dropdown both disfunctional.

same happened to many users (mynameisjon, Killer Bee , poetter747 ,dtstech, claimui, and others)
So i have been figuring how to work google now.
I must say it works very well,if i search for restaurants before heading out,I automatically get directions on google Now.
What i find rather intruging is that pictures dont show up with search queries such as how tall is barack obama(pic attached).
Is there any setting i need to find, to change this?

It has to do with the version of google search you're using. Go to google now settings and check the use google.com box. Otherwise you'd be using the local variant of google search.

Hi xda This past days I´ve been modifing my g-nex to look like a ubuntu phone, there have been major improves in the look and feel of it, but now I´ve a problem, there are some iccons that are dead, for example the camera one, it doesn´t activate the camera, and uccw is not opening when I click on it, do you know how to generate the action? please some help.
I´ve been using the Ubu 2 plus the Ubu theme for the skins,both of them.
Plus what do you use uccw for? do you develop your own widgets? I don´t know how to handdle it, but I would really like to be able to create the lockscreen of ubuntu phone that shows the whatsapp unread and that when I click it it will lead me to it.

I have dissected the infotainment update file "Y400EUAVNUpdate.UPA" and there is indeed an APK "ENGINEER MODE", my question is, is it possible to find the method to access it in all these update files up to date ???
nobody has any idea in which file i could find a track to access engineer mode ???
