I think we're all interested in having a port. The real question is; is it possible? While the answer to that is yes, it would take a HUGE amount of work to do.

I first wanna fix cm10.1 , im now macking sorce for compile it
if i get free time im thinking to try to port xperia z rom i wont pormise anything if i succes i will shere here
Already tried to port it to both my pro and note 2. Its too much of a hassle to go through. Porting the rom is the easiest part, it gets tough when a manufacturer that does loads of modifications is involved I.e Sony, Samsung, HTC. Getting it to boot would require some changes to the ramdisk files and kernel replaced. Unfortunately it doesn't get anything to work

Biggest problem is making the Sony apps work on AOSP roms. Walkman is working for example, but I want the Sony messaging app too and many more. How to do this? mod framework, change the app itself???
maybe
Hey! you're smart man! you can do it! just make a team, buy some coffee and make it fly! cheers

Thats easy. Firstly change the sig / lib requirements (implement). then add the 'conv_' pngs from sony framework-res to aosp framework-res. Lastly logcat and modify smali files in framework.jar and permissions for the app and its services
Thanks a lot, will try it as soon as I have time. (I'm surprised no one has tried it before...)

I did try that on cm9 with the xperia phone book. Its just too much of a hassle to get everything to work and you have to redo everything on the latest cm release

You can make that yourself. The OP hasn't done much, just changed pngs and layouts (as far as I can tell by the provided screen shots)

Dowbloading now. Will test on my ion running 6.1.E.3.7 firmware.
Edit:
Downloaded. Weatherwidget says it doesn't fit on screen( even though there is enough space on homescreen), same for picture widget. Walkman, album, movies seem ok. When adding widgets i get a few force closes.

I understand they work for stock xperia s.
Do they work on custom roms? (non-stock)
Work fine, but we don't see our notes in small App And this is really bad...
Slash from Nozomi

Isn't the music widget and others are the stock xperia s versions of the latest firmware. Is there a way to install the latest walkman on xperia z1 and latest devices for older xperia like s running 4.1.2 JB

Where can I find this JB rom for the ion

Any help would be greatly appreciated in the following video http://youtu.be/QSxPrFxJBqs their is a xperia z on the left and a xperia ion on the right. The xperia ion is running what looks like an almost perfect version of jelly ban anyone know where I can find this rom?
I love the 90s. Good times.
It's a XZX 2... But you are joking with JB right? We must wait until end of May then we will get info about JB. So, mid June we will get JB. Thread reported.
Sent from my LT26i using xda developers-app
Yeah it's XZX(2). Within the first 10 seconds you can see the settings menu of the Ion and one of the categories is XZXperience (with SystemUI preferences, Navigation Bar and Overclocking). Also the stock Sony JB firmware doesn't have a brightness bar at the notification screen.
If you're on xda, how can you not know about XZX?

(request) Port or do similar Rom pls :/

Hi all I couldnt find any roms thats pure xperia s xperiance with out extra stuffs or addons added by yourself .. Like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796428 so my question.. Can some of u devs port the whole xperia s rom ? Pure stock xperia S without settings shortcut in systemui etc etc etc.. Pure stock S rom like the above mentioned link I would like to port it myself or even theme the stock neo/arc Rom but I'm not good in theming and porting stuffs :/
And everyone would use that Rom for sure I would be really happy cause my mum use this Rom on her old x10i and she's really happy and I must say I'm hit jealous haha .. But would be great
Thanks in Advanced for ur answers

Anyway, Don't worry - there is a new upgrade coming

What do you guys think?

They're talking of updates for Android 4.2.2 on XPERIA C2005/C2004.. while we in the huddled masses only have Android 4.1.2 on the C1905/C1904

You're right, it's either 4.3 or 4.4...
Android 4.3 is the big one with updated graphics OpenGL ES 3.0 and enhanced Bluetooth.
But, get Android 4.3 and then Android 4.4.2 would bring a lot of refinement to the XPERIA M.
Whatever.. I just want more..
I thing it will be 4.3 update becaouse better models receive this android so why we could get kitkat version :-/
PS.: sorry for my english

It's not 4.4 but 4.3.
It'll be 4.3. I think I read somewhere that a device can't be updated to 4.4 from any other version other than 4.3 via OTA. Maybe I'm misremembering though.

Even if it's true that isn't a problem. Sony has it own update app for PC - Sony update service.

That doesn't make sense... Xperia M dual will get 15.5.A.0.16 = Android 4.5?
BTW, it's going to be 4.3. All flagships Xperias haven't received 4.4 yet, so,why our mid-range Xperia would get KitKat before the flagships? Doesn't make sense at all
Amazing theory
